Wolf Ferocious frowned slightly but paid it little mind, stepping past the demons and continuing up the mountain.
“These lesser demons all have unfamiliar faces, likely new recruits.
They’re clearly targeting me. With their meager cultivation, how dare they raise such a fuss?
It seems Black Wind Mountain is more chaotic than I thought. It must be that scoundrel Poison Fang stirring trouble again!”
Wolf Ferocious’s face darkened, anger rising in his heart. He sneered to himself, “Poison Fang, you venomous worm, I was weaker before and avoided crossing you.
Now that I’ve broken through to demon general, I won’t indulge you anymore!
With me and the third general here, you’re doomed to make no waves!”
With that, Wolf Ferocious looked up at the bird demon flying away, a cruel smile curling his lips.
“Come on! Let’s see how you stop me from climbing this mountain!”
His demonic aura surged, spreading like a black mist rolling up the mountain.
He wanted to make a scene, to let every demon on the mountain know!
He, Wolf Ferocious, was back!
No longer a mere demon soldier, he was now a demon general with awakened powers!
As his aura erupted, his speed soared, transforming into a black wind sweeping up the mountain.
“What demon dares trespass on Black Wind Mountain!!”
“Stay where you are!!”
“Kill!!”
Another group of patrol demons was alerted. The earlier bird cry had informed them of a rogue demon’s intrusion.
Loyal to their duty, they raised their artifacts and weapons, charging fearlessly at the black wind.
“Get lost!!”
Wolf Ferocious snorted coldly, his aura blasting the demons away, leaving them wailing on the ground.
“This demon is ferocious, likely a demon general!”
“Quick! Fetch the commanders!”
The demons, terrified but dutiful, shouted urgently.
The circling bird demon didn’t dare delay, flapping its wings and speeding toward the mountain’s peak.
“Good! Today, this general will see who dares block my path!”
Wolf Ferocious didn’t pursue, continuing as a black wind toward the peak.
Any demon in his way was blasted back, none able to stop him.
Soon, the bird demon found its commander, reporting the rogue demon’s intrusion to the patrol leader, Big Horn.
Understanding the gravity, Big Horn instructed the bird demon to inform the other commanders and General Crane Fly, then grabbed his twin blades, formed from his horns, and headed down the mountain.
Soon, he saw the demonic wind sweeping up. He roared, “What rogue demon dares trespass on Black Wind Mountain? Want to be served as a feast?!”
“Fiend, stop for this commander!”
Big Horn leapt forward, swinging his demon blades, their aura flaring like black flames, slashing at the approaching black wind!
Boom!
The flames on his blades surged, as if to cleave the wind in two.
But Big Horn quickly sensed something wrong. His blades were caught by a hand!
“I remember you, the first aide under Second General White Demon!”
“You dare block me?!”
The wind howled, Wolf Ferocious’s icy voice ringing out. His demonic power surged, blasting Big Horn back, blood streaming from his mouth and nose.
“Cough… damn it!”
“Who are you?!”
Big Horn crashed to the ground, coughing violently, his lungs burning, glaring at the figure in the wind.
“Big Horn, has even White Demon started colluding with that scoundrel Poison Fang?”
“Fine, since this general has returned, I’ll set things right!”
Wolf Ferocious snorted, then soared into the clouds, flying toward the peak.
As he ascended, Big Horn finally saw his face, eyes widening.
“This… isn’t that Wolf Ferocious?!”
“Damn, when did that guy get so fierce?”
Big Horn, recognising him, paled as realisation hit. He slapped his forehead, exclaiming, “Damn, there’s probably a misunderstanding!”
Meanwhile, Wolf Ferocious reached the peak in moments, spotting many menacing demons.
But to him, they were all unfamiliar.
“What’s going on?”
“I was in seclusion for just a year, how are there so many new faces on Black Wind Mountain?”
“Lesser demons could be new recruits, but so many demon soldiers?”
“Has something happened to Black Wind Mountain?”
Wolf Ferocious pondered, then froze.
He didn’t see his general among the crowd.
“No third general… no! She must be fine!!”
For the first time, panic gripped him, his face darkening. Before he could speak, a red-eyed demon below cursed, “Clueless fool, do you know where you are, daring to trespass?”
“What did you say?!”
Wolf Ferocious’s eyes flashed with ferocity.
“Staring at what? Think your big eyes scare your Rabbit Lord?!”
“Well said, Red Eyes! This rogue demon, flaunting his demon general status, thinks he’s something!
Your Sparrow Lord won’t indulge you!”
A palm-sized sparrow hopped on Red Eyes’ shoulder, wings on hips, tilting its head with a smug look.
Not just the generals, other demon soldiers also sneered at Wolf Ferocious.
Though not demon generals, they weren’t fazed, as Black Wind Mountain had plenty of generals now.
Seeing these mere demon soldiers unafraid, Wolf Ferocious’s anger flared.
“Hey! My temper!”
“Today, no matter who sent you, this general will show you the consequences of crossing a demon general!”
Roaring, he charged at the demons!
Startled, they instinctively hid behind White Elephant.
“Deputy Commander, you’re the biggest and strongest, hold him off!”
Red Eyes shamelessly spoke, using White Elephant as a shield.
To him, White Elephant’s strength could stall the enemy, letting them swarm and take down the demon general.

White Elephant’s face twitched, nearly cursing, but he stomped the ground, his body growing taller.
In an instant, he became a small giant, throwing a punch at the charging Wolf Ferocious.
“Hmph!”
Wolf Ferocious snorted, returning a punch that sent White Elephant staggering back. Surprised, he said, “You blocked my punch?”
“Again!!”
White Elephant’s deep voice rumbled, stepping forward, shaking the earth, and throwing another punch!
“Hey! My temper!”
Wolf Ferocious grinned ferociously, his right fist glowing blood-red, striking first despite attacking second!
Boom!
A loud crash echoed, and White Elephant’s giant form was sent flying!
The demon soldiers behind him were caught in the shockwave, coughing up blood.
“Quick! Get the generals from the hall to subdue this fiend!!”
Red Eyes shouted, sensing from that punch that this demon general was no ordinary foe!
