Hearing that food would be plentiful, Black Clothes’ eyes lit up, and she danced with excitement.
It seemed to her that food was even more important than cultivation, a sight that made Mo Fan shake his head unconsciously.
He noticed that the demons in these Hundred Thousand Mountains each had their own peculiarities.
As for Black Clothes, Mo Fan hadn’t fully let his guard down. Following his usual tactic, he left some Life and Death Poison in her body.
These toxins wouldn’t harm her under normal circumstances, to the point she wouldn’t even notice them, but at critical moments, Mo Fan could activate them through his demon weapon, making Black Clothes suffer unbearable pain.
To Mo Fan, taming didn’t equate to trust.
Black Clothes’ mindset was hard for him to grasp. She seemed erratic, yet not entirely foolish at times. Without some countermeasures, he couldn’t fully relax.
Next, Mo Fan turned to the two ghost attendants behind him.
Before dragging them into the ghost attendant space, he couldn’t hear them speak, as they were merely ordinary demon souls. Now, transformed into ghost attendants, their speech was no different from ordinary beings, just transmitted mentally.
“Who sent you?” Mo Fan asked.
“Master, we were sent by Lei Yufeng!” the double-headed wolf demon replied respectfully. “By the way, Lei Yufeng is the second king of the Lei Yu family!”
Though killed by Mo Fan, under the tiger pattern’s influence, the wolf demon was completely loyal, retaining only traces of its former personality.
“Master, from what we know, Lei Yufeng has mobilized nearly all the Lei Yu family’s demon generals to encircle you!” the turtle demon added.
“Oh? Just demon generals?” Mo Fan’s eyes flickered, a slight smirk forming.
With the ghost attendants’ clear answers, he finally felt relieved.
As expected, the Lei Yu family, wary of the White Tiger Holy King, wouldn’t dare send demons beyond the demon general realm to deal with him.
This eased his concerns, though he still worried about the other two families.
“I hope those two families don’t pose too difficult a challenge, or choosing sides this time might be troublesome,” Mo Fan took a deep breath, his forehead’s tiger pattern glowing as he recalled the two ghost attendants. He then turned to Black Clothes, saying, “Now, take me to meet this White Clothes you mentioned.”
Black Clothes took a deep breath, nodded, but suddenly added, “White Clothes has a fiery temper. I hope, Great King, you won’t get too angry or punish him harshly. He’s always been like that.”
“Enough, I said I’d spare his life,” Mo Fan frowned, noting Black Clothes’ apparent bias toward White Clothes. But it made sense, they were born together, like siblings, perhaps even twins, so their bond was understandable.
“I didn’t mean for you to spare him,” Black Clothes started, then hesitated, ultimately keeping her thoughts to herself.
Mo Fan then learned much about White Clothes from her, focusing on his strength.
The conclusion was troubling.
White Clothes was even more unhinged than Black Clothes. If she was a lunatic, he was a complete madman, with combat power surpassing hers, nearly half a step into the demon king realm.
More alarmingly, White Clothes possessed a special spirit body, the Demon-Devouring Spirit Body, which grew stronger by consuming other demons, gaining their traits.
This was somewhat akin to Mo Fan’s Heaven-Swallowing Ability, both allowing the absorption of other demons’ attributes, though White Clothes couldn’t replicate their supernatural abilities like Mo Fan.
Even so, it was fearsome.
His long habit of eating his kind made White Clothes brutal, yet it granted him unparalleled strength, far surpassing peers in every aspect.
Though not yet in the king realm, he had power comparable to it and had even killed a king-realm demon.
As for White Clothes’ supernatural ability, Black Clothes didn’t know.
He usually acted alone, and no one had ever forced him to use his ability. His sheer physical strength was enough to make enemies despair.
“Even you can’t beat him?” Mo Fan asked, frowning.
“Even with my ability, I’m no match. He’s too strong,” Black Clothes said with a bitter smile, taking a deep breath. “Strong enough to make any demon of the same realm despair. In the entire Phoenix Cry Mountain Demon Domain, perhaps only the Holy Son and the Twin Prodigies could surpass him.”
Hearing this, Mo Fan’s mood grew heavy, but he also felt a surge of anticipation.
Since reaching the demon general realm, few peers had caught his eye. The only one to truly terrify him was an old figure in the Southern Border claiming to be “Servant Abacus.” Now, White Clothes added another name, sparking excitement in Mo Fan’s eyes, a burning battle intent.
White Clothes wasn’t far, perched on a large stone at the canyon’s center.
The rhombus-shaped stone, like a giant sword thrust into the ground, stood several meters tall.
Atop it sat a refined-looking young man in black, reminding Mo Fan of his first encounter with Qin Changsheng.
In terms of aura, they were similar, but White Clothes was strikingly handsome, far beyond Qin Changsheng. If Mo Fan hadn’t known he was a male demon, he might have mistaken him for a woman.
The young man was playing a zither, the music light and lively, at times like a mountain stream, at others like roaring river waves, exuding a refined air.
Even Mo Fan didn’t interrupt, momentarily captivated by the enchanting melody.
Silently, the surroundings changed. The canyon turned into a blood-soaked purgatory of corpses, and White Clothes sat on a throne, lazily leaning on its armrest, hand propping his chin, tilting his head to look at the two demons below.
“Black Clothes, you brought this toad demon?” White Clothes’ gaze swept over Mo Fan, settling on Black Clothes, speaking calmly.
“White Clothes, I lost. We were deceived by the Lei Yu family. The Great King isn’t an ordinary demon general, nor is he cruel. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be alive,” Black Clothes stammered. “I hope you can…”
“Shut up!” White Clothes cut her off before she could finish.
“I told you to follow orders absolutely, not to waste words here. You call him Great King? So, you’ve betrayed me?”
