The scorpion demon’s words darkened Mo Fan’s expression. He glanced at the wine gourd in the demon’s hand and gritted his teeth. “Master, I get my poison extracted every month, so keeping a bit of spirit wine to replenish myself isn’t too much, is it?”
“Of course not!” The scorpion demon laughed, then yanked open the gourd’s stopper, sneering at Mo Fan with mockery. “But you shouldn’t have deceived your master! Ugly thing, you need to understand one thing: under my command, everything obeys me! Including your life!”
As he spoke, the scorpion demon raised the gourd and, in front of Mo Fan, drank all the spirit wine in one go.
“Angry?” he taunted with a sinister grin. “Too bad, even if you’re furious, you can only take it!”
The scorpion demon sneered and raised his hand, grabbing at Mo Fan from a distance.
Instantly, a gust of demonic wind surged, and a black hand materialised, forcibly yanking Mo Fan out of the spring pool and hurling him heavily into the cave dwelling.
Mo Fan let out a muffled groan. Looking at the slowly approaching Scorpion Demon Heizi, his face showed no anger but calm resolve as he asked, “I want to know one thing: from the moment you saved me, did you plan to raise me as a poison source, draining my venom bit by bit until I die?”
“Poison source?” The scorpion demon paused, then said, “That’s a fitting term. You’re not wrong, though I didn’t initially intend to kill you. After all, obedient fools like you are rare. But this time, you’ve caused me quite a bit of trouble, drawing the attention of that dog bastard Poison Fang to my research! So, I’ve decided to speed things up. This time, I’ll just strip your skin and take all your poison glands for medicine. The results will surely be impressive!”
Strip his skin and take his poison glands?
Mo Fan laughed, his laughter cold and indifferent.
“What’s so funny?” The scorpion demon frowned.
“Thank you for giving me a reason to kill you. Now I can do it with a clear conscience!” Mo Fan grinned.
“Kill me?” The scorpion demon was stunned, then burst into laughter. “You must be mad! With your strength… huh? Something’s off… you… argh!”
Mid-laugh, his expression twisted in agony, and he clutched his head, screaming.
“You thought that gourd of spirit wine was so easy to drink?” Mo Fan smirked, casually retrieving the gourd the scorpion demon had tossed aside. He said slowly, “I tampered with the wine. So, sorry, the one who’s going to die today is…”
Before Mo Fan could finish, his pupils shrank.
Boom!
A black shadow struck, blasting a huge crater where Mo Fan stood.
“You dodged?” The scorpion demon looked at Mo Fan in surprise, his thick scorpion tail raised behind him, demonic energy swirling. There was no trace of poisoning.
“You’re not poisoned?!” Mo Fan stared in shock, sensing with his demonic energy that the poison bead was indeed inside the demon’s body, already dispersed throughout.
By all logic, the scorpion demon should be poisoned.
So what was going on?
Mo Fan was puzzled, his expression darkening. He realised he knew too little about this scorpion demon, nearly capsizing in the gutter.
If not for his Demon Ding Realm’s sharp senses allowing him to dodge the tail sting, he’d likely be gravely injured.
“Poison? You mean your hallucinogenic toxin?” The scorpion demon’s lips curled. “It’s indeed a potent poison, comparable to my scorpion venom! But have you forgotten I’ve been extracting your poison? After studying it so long, how could I not have made any progress?”
Mo Fan’s eyes narrowed. “So you’re immune to neurotoxins now?”
“Neurotoxins?” The scorpion demon frowned, as if pondering the term.
“No matter. Kill you, take your poison glands, and I can refine Ten Thousand Poison Spirit Liquid for a medicinal bath. Then, I’ll have a chance to achieve the Ten Thousand Poison Spirit Body! When that happens, not even One-Eye, let alone Poison Fang, will be my match! You should feel honoured to be part of this great and sacred moment!”
The scorpion demon’s gaze turned icy. He stepped forward, reaching for Mo Fan’s neck!
Bang!
A loud crash rang out as the scorpion demon was forced back. Mo Fan had struck!
“You… hid your cultivation?!” The scorpion demon’s face changed, his mind racing.
Mo Fan said nothing more, attacking decisively!
Since the situation was out in the open, he had no way back. To survive, he had to kill the scorpion demon!
He threw dozens of punches, forcing the demon back repeatedly.
Mo Fan’s strength was immense, even surpassing the scorpion demon’s, but breaking through his defence was difficult.
The scorpion demon’s dense demonic energy far outstripped Mo Fan’s, making it hard to penetrate his protective aura.
But Mo Fan didn’t lose heart. He suddenly looked at the scorpion demon and said, “Heizi, look at this!”
The scorpion demon instinctively glanced over, only to see a red glint flash in Mo Fan’s eyes.
Divine Ability: Eyes of Charm!
Instantly, the scorpion demon’s eyes glazed over, his steps faltering.
Mo Fan seized the chance, unleashing a barrage of punches that shattered the demon’s protective aura and left several bloody holes in his body, drenching him in blood!
“You… deserve… to die!”
Suddenly, the scorpion demon snapped out of the charm, breaking free. He grabbed Mo Fan’s fists with both hands.
“Not good!” Mo Fan’s heart sank. He tried to pull back but was too late.
From the scorpion demon’s sleeves, another pair of fists emerged, hammering over a dozen punches into Mo Fan, each one landing solidly, shaking his body!
“Demon Weapon, Assemble!” Mo Fan gritted his teeth, sensing the poison in the demon’s body with his demonic energy.
“Argh!” The scorpion demon screamed again.
“You… turned the poison into a demon weapon?!” Sensing the situation inside him, the scorpion demon was both shocked and enraged. He hadn’t expected the poison to be refined into a demon weapon.
“Since toxins don’t work on you, I’ll use the poison demon weapon to attack your organs directly!” Mo Fan sneered, urging the poison weapon to wreak havoc inside the demon’s body.
“Die!” The scorpion demon roared, launching another tail sting at Mo Fan.
Seeing the danger, Mo Fan panicked, trying to escape, but his hands were firmly held, unable to break free.
Splat!
A soft sound, and Mo Fan’s chest was pierced by the scorpion tail!
“Argh!” He screamed, then, as if struck by a thought, spat out an object, urging it with demonic energy!
It was a yellow talisman, crafted by Qin Changsheng of Great River Academy.
To be precise, it was a Demon-Suppressing Talisman!
Under Mo Fan’s demonic energy, the talisman floated up, emitting endless blood-red light, then drifted lightly towards the scorpion demon’s head!
“What is that?!”
“Get lost!” The scorpion demon gritted his teeth, enduring his internal injuries, and threw a punch at the talisman!
Crack!
In an instant, his arm shattered inch by inch!
“Argh!” The scorpion demon screamed, terrified, trying to flee, but Mo Fan grabbed his hands.
“Where are you going, Master?!” Mo Fan sneered, blood oozing from his mouth and nose, making him look utterly ferocious.
“Madman! You’re a madman!” The scorpion demon roared, struggling frantically, truly terrified by the talisman.
It wasn’t just a piece of paper—it was like an impossibly heavy mountain!
“Lai Bao respectfully sends Master on his way!”
