The words from “Qin Changsheng” sent a jolt through everyone present.
At the same time, they all understood one thing: Qin Changsheng’s body had already been taken over by that ancient true dragon.
Or rather, the current Qin Changsheng was no longer Qin Changsheng. He was the ancient true dragon, Ao Sha!
“His possession seems to have gone wrong. If we all strike together, there may still be a chance!”
Emperor Qin suddenly spoke. No longer concealing his trump card, a sky full of stars instantly appeared in his eyes. In the blink of an eye, he locked Ao Sha in place.
“Attack!”
Daoist Qingfeng’s spirits rose. With a single thrust, his sword pierced straight into Qin Changsheng’s chest. Endless sword astral exploded inside the body, causing Qin, causing the entire corpse to detonate in an instant!
“Damn you!”
“Kill them all!!”
Ao Sha’s furious, panicked voice rang out. Immediately afterwards, the scattered chunks of flesh emitted countless blood threads that wove together once more. With a whoosh, they reassembled into Qin Changsheng’s body.
This scene left every cultivator dumbfounded.
How the hell were they supposed to fight this?
Even Old Ancestor Bai Lu’s eyes went wide.
Could it be that the brat hadn’t lied?
This fellow really was immortal and indestructible?
Just as the cultivators prepared to attack again, the true dragon corpse moved. With a sweep of its tail, cultivators were sent flying like cannonballs into the distance. Some exploded mid-air into clouds of blood mist, instantly cleared away.
Having done this, the true dragon corpse opened its mouth and spat out an object: an array disc.
The moment the disc was activated, it burst into brilliant light and shot straight upwards. Countless profound runes projected into the surrounding void.
In the next instant, an invisible force spread outwards from the disc, rapidly encompassing the entire cavern!
Yet it did not stop there. The force continued to expand beyond the cavern.
Mo Fan frowned. He felt the whole cavern grow oppressively heavy.
Soon he witnessed a shocking sight: thin red threads, as fine as hairs yet bright as fresh blood and half a zhang long, began emerging from the void.
As soon as they appeared, they flew towards the cultivators in the cavern.
“What are these?”
Mo Fan furrowed his brow and fired a beam of demonic power, but it passed straight through the red threads without affecting them at all.
“Ah!”
A scream soon rang out nearby. A cultivator exploded into a cloud of blood mist.
The moment the mist formed, it drifted automatically towards the array disc in the sky.
“There’s something wrong with that array disc. It’s related to blood sacrifice. Everyone, destroy it together!”
Daoist Qingfeng shouted. He flew back from afar and charged straight at the disc.
Yet he returned even faster, once again whipped away by the dragon corpse’s tail.
“Poor little things. Quietly await the arrival of death!”
“The Blood Witch Sacrifice Grand Array is a formation from the upper realm. How could the likes of you possibly break it?”
The true dragon corpse rose from the ground, blood mist steaming from its body as it guarded beneath the array disc, preventing any cultivator from approaching.
As more red threads bored into foreheads, cultivators continued to explode one after another.
Mo Fan, however, remained unharmed. Although demonic power could not block the red threads, he joyfully discovered that dragon qi could.
Protected by his draconic aura, the red threads no longer posed a threat to him.
Experts like Emperor Qin and Daoist Qingfeng also employed their own methods, rendering the red threads harmless to them.
Even so, half the cultivators in the cavern perished, turning into clouds of blood mist that drifted into the array disc.
At the same time, Mo Fan noticed even more blood mist pouring in from every tunnel.
This scene filled every surviving cultivator with horror.
They all realised that those who had fled earlier had probably not truly escaped, but had likewise fallen victim to the grand array!
And indeed, that was exactly the case.
At this moment, in tunnels and caverns throughout the True Dragon Lair, countless cultivators were desperately fleeing. Yet no matter how they ran, they could not evade the red threads that materialised from thin air.
Once a thread drilled into their forehead, they instantly exploded into blood mist!
In the valley outside the True Dragon Lair, several Golden Core cultivators stared in despair at the enormous, radiant barrier overhead.
They had struggled all the way here, thinking they could finally escape, only to discover the entire True Dragon Lair was sealed by a boundary.
In other words, everyone who had leapt off the cliff had been trapped here by the formation!
They had tried brute-forcing their way out earlier, but no matter how they attacked, the barrier above showed not the slightest ripple.
“What is this thing?”
Finally, a cultivator spotted the blood-coloured threads drifting in the air before them.
Someone instinctively reached out to touch one.
“Don’t touch them!”
Another cultivator shouted in alarm and caution.
But it was too late. The first cultivator discovered his hand passed right through the thread, as though it were merely an energy form.
In the next instant, the blood-coloured thread abruptly bored into his forehead.
“Ah!!”
He let out a scream and exploded into blood mist with a boom!
The sight made everyone’s scalps tingle. Soon after, more people fell victim, exploding one by one.
As these blood mists gradually converged upon the array disc, a long crimson river slowly took shape.
“Lord Ao Sha, the blood sacrifice is complete. Please enter the blood river to nourish your immortal body!”
The true dragon corpse spoke reverently. Qin Changsheng’s eyes in the river immediately blazed. He flew straight into the blood river and began frantically devouring its waters.
With the continuous nourishment of blood energy, the aura emanating from Qin Changsheng grew ever more terrifying. The sight nearly drove the remaining cultivators to despair.
“It seems the only option left is to utterly destroy this secret realm!”
At the critical moment, Emperor Qin murmured with a sigh. He looked at the object in his hand: a square bronze imperial seal.
Without hesitation, he hurled the seal towards the enormous blood river overhead.
“Ang, roar!!”
The instant the seal was unleashed, both the true dragon corpse and Qin Changsheng within the blood river were startled. They let out simultaneous dragon roars of rage and struck at the seal together.
BOOM!
In that split second, the seal trembled in mid-air and burst into dazzling divine light. Wherever the light touched, the true dragon corpse’s flesh instantly vanished. In mere moments it became a skeleton. Several demonic shadows emerged from it and immediately fled into the distance.
Qin Changsheng’s body exploded once more!
“Damn it!”
“It’s the Human Emperor’s Nine Dragons Seal!”
“How can the ancient Human Emperor’s Nine Dragons Seal be here!!”
A furious, shocked voice rang out from a strand of blood-coloured draconic qi. It tried to flee, only to be locked onto by a wisp of the seal’s aura.
Immediately afterwards, Mo Fan saw a divine chain shoot out from the Human Emperor’s Nine Dragons Seal. It instantly pierced Ao Sha’s true spirit and dragged it back, sealing it completely within the seal!
At that very moment, an aura of great annihilation flooded the area. Countless black thunderbolts materialised from nowhere and struck down upon the Human Emperor’s Nine Dragons Seal!
With a single blow, the seal vanished without a trace.
Emperor Qin and his two servants disappeared at the same time. Immediately afterwards, the entire cavern began to shake violently. One spatial rift after another appeared, looking ready to swallow anyone at any moment.
“Rumble…”
A shocking sound came from above. Mo Fan looked up and saw the cavern’s vault actually split in two. Through the gap, a ray of light shone directly in.
Every cultivator’s scalp went numb!
The True Dragon Lair had cracked open!
“Not good! This space is about to collapse!”
“Run!!”
Panic seized the cultivators. They all flew towards the fissure overhead, desperate to escape this realm.
Meanwhile, deep within the Hundred Thousand Mountains, a woman in a fiery-red palace dress emerged from seclusion. With one step she appeared in a valley filled with demon cultivators.
With a second step, she vanished completely from the valley and stepped into the entrance of the Dragon Ruins.
Her speed was so great that even the demon cultivators watching the valley seemed not to notice her passing.
Storm Sea, Inverted Mountain.
An old daoist in cyan robes walked out from an unnamed temple and disappeared with a single step!
