Mo Fan’s eyes flickered with surprise at the sight. He lifted the tea bowl before him. Even before tasting it, the faint fragrance already drifted into his nose, instantly refreshing his mind and spirit. For a moment he felt as though he stood amidst vast heavens and earth, gazing down upon endless verdant mountains and rivers.
“Excellent tea!”
He had not yet drunk a drop, yet he already praised it inwardly. Then he calmly took a small sip. The liquid was sweet and slightly warm as it entered his throat, and a unique tea aroma instantly filled his entire mouth.

Even after swallowing, the fragrance lingered between his lips and teeth.
“Excellent tea!”
This time, Mo Fan said it aloud.
He raised his head to look at the white-haired youth who was also savouring his tea, a trace of puzzlement on his face. “A mere spiritual body drinking tea can actually taste the flavour. Your divine ability truly defies comprehension!”
At these words, the white-haired youth’s movements paused slightly. He set down his bowl and smiled. “I knew I hadn’t misjudged you. You really are extraordinary. You saw through the mystery here so quickly!”
The instant the youth finished speaking, Mo Fan felt the surrounding scenery shift. Mountains and rivers changed in the blink of an eye. In a moment, he was no longer sitting in the pavilion on the lake but atop a towering mountain peak!
“To alter mountains and rivers, to shift the stars with a single thought. Aside from techniques of the spirit, I cannot think of any other explanation.”
A smile appeared on Mo Fan’s face, but it gradually faded into solemnity. “So, seniors, from where have you come, and what is your purpose in bringing this junior here?”
At first, Mo Fan had indeed wondered whether someone had used extraordinary means to transport him bodily away from Black Wind Mountain.

“As for this place, I did not create it. This is your dream realm!”
Zhantai Xuanyue’s words stunned Mo Fan.
He had never imagined this was actually his own dream!
“You can control other people’s dreams?”
Mo Fan stared in disbelief.
Although many strange divine abilities existed among demon cultivators, this was the first time he had ever heard of one related to dreams.
“You could put it that way.”
Zhantai Xuanyue nodded, then continued, “Of course, we mean you no harm.”
“Then why have you sought me out?”
Mo Fan frowned. He truly had no idea why these two had come to him.

Zhantai Xuanyue smiled faintly and, without waiting to see whether Mo Fan wanted to listen, began speaking. “Actually, we are not cultivators of your world.

Zhantai Xuanyue rolled his eyes, speaking bluntly and leaving Mo Fan no face at all. The latter immediately looked embarrassed.
He was right…
“However, the reason I sought you out is indeed related to this matter.” Zhantai Xuanyue’s frivolous expression vanished, replaced by solemnity as he looked at Mo Fan and grinned. “Because only you can accomplish what needs to be done!”
“What is that?”
Mo Fan stared at him, finding the fellow rather inexplicable.
Zhantai Xuanyue did not answer immediately. Instead he said, “The old daoist who suppressed us lives in a nameless daoist temple. By coincidence, I once saw you and that white tiger visit the place.”
With a casual wave of his hand, the surrounding mountains and rivers transformed again. Everything became a vast, stormy ocean. Beneath Mo Fan’s feet appeared an inverted mountain with a solitary nameless temple atop it.
When Mo Fan recognised the scene, his pupils shrank.
This was Inverted Mountain!
“I believe you understand now. The one who sealed us is the master of the nameless temple on Inverted Mountain. We are imprisoned directly beneath this sea region. With that powerhouse guarding Inverted Mountain, we have no way to break free!
Therefore, what I need is for you, in the future, to fully unleash the nature of your Heaven-Devouring Demon Clan and plunge this world into utter chaos. The more chaotic, the better!
When that happens, those self-proclaimed guardians of the world will surely rush everywhere to put out fires, and that will naturally be our chance to escape!” Zhantai Xuanyue said with a slight smile.
