Yet this crude ploy had completely fooled them.
When Su Chuang realised what had happened, alarm surged through him. He instinctively erupted with spiritual power to break free, but no matter how he struggled, he could not escape the bindings. His face instantly turned extremely ugly.
Su Heng, beside him, snapped out of his daze and immediately sent a flying sword slashing towards the golden rope. Even that, however, failed to sever it.
“Friends, how do you like my little gift?”
Mo Fan asked with a broad smile.
“Friend Mo, this treasure is truly extraordinary. It must be a magic treasure. Please release me at once!”
Su Chuang laughed awkwardly. Even now, he still thought Mo Fan was merely joking and putting on a show.
“Release you?”
Mo Fan’s grin widened. Seeing that Xia An and Little Yellow had already surrounded Su Heng, he asked calmly, “If one of you is bound like this, can you still execute your joint-attack technique?”
“This…”
Su Chuang was instantly speechless, and a bad premonition rose in his heart. This fellow surnamed Mo seemed to be serious!
“Friend Mo, what is the meaning of this?”
“Your Sun Moon Divine Sect’s saintess is still a guest in our Su family!”
Su Heng’s face was covered in frost as he stared icily at Mo Fan and said in a low voice, “We are the War King’s own disciples. You dare to raise a hand against us?”
“The War King?”
“The War King is nothing! Let alone a mere War King, what does your entire Su family amount to?”
“Three Saints Island is only a tiny corner of the Nine Provinces. How could it ever compare to the vast Divine Domain? And how could your Su family ever stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my Sun Moon Divine Sect?”
Mo Fan threw his head back and laughed loudly. He had already decided that if he was going to put on an act, he would see it through to the end!
“What do you mean by that?!”
Both Su Chuang and Su Heng flew into a rage at the same time.
“What a pair of idiots. You still don’t realise you’re about to die!” Mo Fan sneered, then grinned. “Very well, I’ll let you die enlightened!”
“Why do you think a saintess of my Sun Moon Divine Sect suddenly came to visit your Su family? Wasn’t it to lull your Su family’s upper echelons into complacency?”
“In truth, my Sun Moon Divine Sect has already been lying in wait all around this area. Oh, that’s right, your Young Master Su Ze has already been killed by my sect. And he won’t be the last. By now, that master you speak of has probably already been surrounded and attacked!”
“What?!”
The two of them were instantly overcome with shock and fury. Su Heng reacted first, launching an immediate attempt to break free.
“There’s no use struggling. Once I kill you two and exterminate the Su family, Penglai Holy City will belong to my Sun Moon Divine Sect!”
Mo Fan laughed heartily, pointed a finger at Su Chuang, and a beam of blinding white light instantly pierced straight through the man’s forehead.

At that moment, Su Heng risked taking a sword thrust through the chest from Little Yellow and finally dodged the combined assault of Little Yellow and Xia An. He fled into the distance at top speed.
“You won’t escape!”
Mo Fan grinned. His entire body instantly transformed into a blazing great sun that streaked across the sky. In the blink of an eye, he caught up with Su Heng.
“My Su family will never let you get away with this!!”
Su Heng roared in despair, unleashing endless waves of sword qi as he charged towards Mo Fan.
The sword qi fell like dense rain, yet the moment it entered the range of the great sun, it disintegrated completely. It could not even breach the defences, let alone get close.
With a casual palm strike, Mo Fan sent Su Heng vomiting blood. His body turned charred black, and he plummeted towards the mountains and rivers below like a broken kite.
Mo Fan did not bother pursuing further.
At that moment, Little Yellow and the Xia siblings flew over.
“My… my lord, is he dead?” Little Yellow asked Mo Fan.
“After taking my Heavenly Sun True Fire Seal, he won’t survive.”
Mo Fan replied calmly, then gave the pair a meaningful glance. “Let us go. It is time to carry out the sect’s plan!
As long as Saintess Moon Willow’s side proceeds smoothly, the entire Su family should already be poisoned by now. Killing them will be much easier!”
With that, Mo Fan enveloped the pair in his mana and returned to the spot where Su Chuang had fallen. Sweeping his power outward, he collected Xia Ning and Yu Nian who had been waiting on the ground, then shot into the sky with all four.

Xia An gave a bitter smile, then seemed to remember something. She took out a scroll from her storage bracelet and handed it to Mo Fan. “Benefactor, this is a map of Three Saints Island, including charts of the nearby seas. Please take it!”

Mo Fan did not refuse. He truly needed the map.
Still, he wanted to try persuading the siblings one more time. “A senior once told me that cultivation is a path of defying the heavens. One should never fight to the death over momentary pride. Only by staying alive can one have the last laugh!

Xia An nodded. Two talismans appeared in her hand. She passed one to her brother. “This matter will have major consequences. We should change our appearances again.”
Xia Ning nodded, took the talisman, and affixed it to his body. With a faint surge of spiritual power, his appearance visibly transformed into that of someone else.
Once both siblings had completely altered their looks, they flew towards Blue Water City.
Half a day later, a golden chariot streaked across the sky and soon located the two corpses.
“Reporting to the War King, Su Chuang is dead, but Su Heng still clings to life. He is merely unconscious!”
“Bring him to me!”
“Yes!”
Not long after the charred Su Heng was carried into the golden chariot, every Su family cultivator in the area set off again, racing hurriedly back towards Penglai Holy City.
At the same time, the War King issued an order that set more than half of Three Saints Island into motion.
