Heaven Devourer Chapter 86

In the dense forest, five human rogue cultivators slowly closed in on Mo Fan.

Perhaps intimidated by his earlier feat of killing the sleazy old man with a single punch, or perhaps wary of the formidable deer demon, they approached the stern-faced demon with caution.

“Hey!”

“Why go to such lengths to kill us?”

“I’ve already spent all my spirit stones. As for resources, I have some, but they’re hardly enough for you lot to split! How about this: you five fight it out, and the winner takes everything I own?”

Mo Fan spoke lazily, his face showing no trace of fear.

“A clumsy attempt at sowing discord. A beast is a beast, thinking a few words can turn us against each other. What’s going through your head?” The alluring female cultivator sneered.

“Don’t fall for his nonsense. This demon’s a fat sheep. He bought plenty at the market, and he likely has a decent-quality magical artifact!” The burly man with a broadsword hefted his weapon, eyeing Mo Fan coldly.

“Right! I followed him at the market. I know exactly what treasures he bought!”

The sturdy man wielding a crescent-shaped shovel also sneered.

“See? You’ve got no way out but death!” The lean man shrugged at Mo Fan, his eyes brimming with killing intent.

The plain-looking cultivator said nothing, merely advancing with the others toward Mo Fan, appearing somewhat harmless.

“Oh, dear!”

“My brilliant plan’s been seen through so easily. What a headache!”

Mo Fan sighed, his demonic aura growing thicker, gradually enveloping him in black mist, obscuring his expression from the group.

“If that’s the case, I’ll have to take matters into my own hands.”

“I’ll take all your lives!”

As soon as Mo Fan spoke, he sprang into action, charging straight at the alluring female cultivator!

“Careful!”

The cultivators were startled and launched their attacks at Mo Fan.

The female cultivator’s face darkened. Did he think she was the easiest to kill?

She reached into her storage bag at her waist, pulling out a talisman to use against Mo Fan, but he abruptly changed direction.

Mo Fan’s target was never the woman, but the lean man beside her!

The lean man hadn’t expected the sudden shift. As he prepared to react, he saw a flash of red light in Mo Fan’s eyes, and his gaze became dazed.

Bang!

A soft sound rang out as Mo Fan’s fist pierced through the lean man’s left chest.

Sss—

Mo Fan withdrew his right hand, holding a bloody, still-beating heart.

Boom!

The next moment, the heart was crushed, and the body collapsed. Mo Fan sidestepped to dodge a blade.

The burly man with the broadsword had arrived!

“Vile beast, stop your rampage!”

Furious, the burly man swung again after missing his first strike.

“Your strength seems impressive. Perfect for testing that thing’s power!”

Mo Fan dodged repeatedly, a smirk curling his lips.

Evading another slash, he spat out a glittering golden brick, caught it, and swung it toward the burly man’s blade!

“Seeking death!”

“A mere golden brick against my mid-grade magical blade?”

The burly man grinned savagely, channeling all his strength, aiming to cleave both Mo Fan and the brick in half.

Clang!

A sharp metallic sound rang out, leaving the burly man and the others stunned.

The demon wielding the golden brick stood unscathed, the brick itself flawless, without a single scratch, gleaming as if new.

In contrast, the burly man’s broadsword had snapped in two with that clang!

“How is this possible!”

The burly man’s pupils shrank. As he moved to retreat, the golden brick came hurtling toward his head!

At the critical moment, he pulled out a talisman, slapped it onto himself, and golden light erupted, as if his entire body turned to gold.

Mo Fan’s eyes flickered with surprise.

He recognized that talisman, a Diamond Talisman!

Even so, he remained unfazed. A Diamond Talisman? Watch me take you down with one brick!

Bang!

A loud crash echoed as the burly man staggered, swaying in place, seemingly dazed by the blow.

“Hm?”

Seeing that one strike hadn’t broken the Diamond Talisman, Mo Fan unleashed a flurry of blows!

Bang, bang, bang, bang…!

After more than ten strikes, the golden light around the burly man faded, and the talisman on his body ignited, quickly turning to ash.

“Save me!”

Terrified, the burly man called out to his comrades for help.

Bang!

But before they could reach him, the golden brick smashed down on his head, splattering red and white. The burly man fell dead!

“Big Brother!”

“You demon, pay with your life!”

Devastated by the burly man’s death, the man with the crescent shovel lost all reason, charging at Mo Fan with his weapon raised.

“Since you miss your brother so much, I’ll send you to him!”

Mo Fan sneered, his tongue shooting out like an arrow!

Sss!

With a faint sound, the charging cultivator froze, standing still.

The crescent shovel clattered to the ground, and the cultivator soon breathed his last.

Mo Fan retracted his tongue, turning to the remaining two with a smile. “Who’s next?”

The plain-looking cultivator said nothing, swiftly retreating while slapping two talismans onto his legs, his speed surging instantly!

Mo Fan frowned but didn’t pursue. Instead, he turned and charged at the alluring female cultivator.

“Damned beast, you really think I’m that easy to kill?”

“Today, I, Wang Yunyun, will show you what I’m capable of!”

The female cultivator gritted her teeth, her expression icy, spiritual energy surging as she prepared to activate her talisman.

“Wang Yunyun, is it?”

Mo Fan suddenly halted, looking at her.

Caught off guard, she instinctively glanced at him.

That single glance left her stunned, her gaze turning vacant.

Red light flickered in Mo Fan’s eyes. He calmly approached, took the talisman from her hand, and, with no hesitation, gripped her throat and snapped her neck!

These people had come to kill him from the start, so he showed no mercy.

Afterward, Mo Fan collected the storage bags from their waists, then approached Lu Tantan, only to find the deer demon sleeping like a log, snoring loudly.

“I said I wouldn’t let you die, but I never said I’d carry you back!”

“Damn it, what a loss!”

Grumbling, Mo Fan crouched to help Lu Tantan up.

Just then, a rustling sound came from behind, followed by a sharp aura rapidly approaching, making Mo Fan’s hair stand on end.

As expected!

His gaze turned cold. A golden brick slid from his sleeve, and he flung it backward!

Clang!

The sound of metal clashing rang out as Mo Fan spun around.

Behind him stood a golden wall, which, upon closer inspection, was no wall but the golden brick, now enlarged, resembling a golden door panel!

Zing—

A sword light shot up from the ground. Mo Fan, carrying the unconscious Lu Tantan, leaped several meters, waving his hand. Demonic energy guided the massive brick to crash down onto the ground!

Boom!

The ground trembled under the forty-thousand-jin force.

Landing on the brick, Mo Fan’s icy gaze fixed on a bulge moving away in the earth. He spat out two flying swords, controlling them with demonic energy to shoot toward the bulge!

Ding! Ding!

Two sharp clangs rang out as the swords were knocked away, and the cultivator hiding among the fallen leaves was forced out.

Seeing the man’s ordinary face, Mo Fan sneered, “Of the six, you hid the deepest. You’re the one at the Great Perfection of Qi Refining, aren’t you?”

“We did underestimate you two demons, but the outcome won’t change,” the grey-robed cultivator said calmly, advancing toward Mo Fan with a longsword in hand.
