Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 121

Li Feng drove to Linghe Garden.

Song Zhiyuan had assured him that the invitation to the Fist King Championship was in the hands of the Black Stone Gang, but he had asked Wang Xiong, who knew nothing of the Fist King Championship, and he had found the invitation in Tianya Pavilion too; his only hope now lay at Linghe Garden.

In Li Feng’s view, whatever Song Zhiyuan coveted must be of vital importance, and Old Man Wen would surely value it too, so aside from the original Black Stone Gang headquarters at Tianya Pavilion, the only other place was Linghe Garden.

Linghe Garden was due for renovation by Li Feng, but he had been busy these past few days, and the design drawings were not yet ready; the entire garden still remained in its original state.

“Peak Young Master.”

As soon as Li Feng arrived at Linghe Garden, the Black Hawk Squadron members guarding it came forward to greet him; looking at these Black Hawk Squadron members, Li Feng secretly congratulated himself on his wise decision, for though their combat prowess seemed utterly feeble in his eyes, to ordinary folk it still had a deterrent effect, and against experts at least they could buy time until he arrived.

Originally, Li Feng had stationed the Black Hawk Squadron at Linghe Garden on a whim, but now it seemed this choice had been astute; otherwise, Song Zhiyuan might well have sent men to sneak in and search for the invitation.

He went straight into Old Man Wen’s study, his gaze falling on the safe in the room; in his view, something as crucial as the invitation could only be placed in the study’s safe.

Opening the safe, Li Feng felt disappointed; aside from some gold, silver, jewellery, and a large sum of cash, there was only an undated sheepskin scroll of unknown provenance, nothing like the invitation.

Li Feng had no interest in the gold, silver, jewellery, or cash, so he picked up the sheepskin scroll to examine it.

The images on the sheepskin scroll were already blurred and indistinct, seeming like a map of sorts, but the details were unclear.

Li Feng merely glanced at it before tossing the sheepskin scroll back into the safe; he had no idea why Old Man Wen had collected it, but he cared little for such indecipherable items, and right now what mattered most to him was the Fist King Championship invitation.

With no invitation in the safe, Li Feng continued searching the study; for important figures, the study had always been a vital place, with even the imperial study in ancient times used for deciding state military affairs.

Old Man Wen’s study was spacious, some one hundred square metres, filled not only with a vast array of books but also numerous antiques, paintings, rare treasures; Li Feng passed over these without a second glance, for he had no need of them.

Li Feng spent a full half hour scouring every corner of the study, but the invitation he sought was nowhere to be found.

“Could Old Man Wen have taken the invitation with him when he left.” Li Feng furrowed his brows, deeming this the only explanation.

With a sigh, Li Feng abandoned the search for the invitation and sank onto the sofa in the study, pondering how to get to the bottom of the Fist King Championship.

His original plan had been to start with the invitation, but now that path seemed blocked; still, a Fist King Championship that could pique Song Zhiyuan’s interest was clearly no ordinary affair, and inquiring about it should not prove difficult.

With this thought, Li Feng took out his mobile and dialled a number.

“I hope this does not disappoint me.” After making the call, Li Feng muttered to himself as he stood and left the study.

“Has anyone come to Linghe Garden in this time.” At the garden entrance, Li Feng asked the Black Hawk Squadron members on guard.

“Replying to Peak Young Master, someone has been watching Linghe Garden from the shadows these past few days.” One Black Hawk Squadron member answered.

“Have they tried to break in.” Li Feng raised a brow. Could it truly be Song Zhiyuan’s people.

“No, they have not.”

“If the other side dares to force their way into Linghe Garden, take them down at once; if their strength proves too great, call Wolf for aid.”

“Yes.”

Leaving Linghe Garden, Li Feng headed straight for Fen Yuan Group; he still fretted over the customs matter and wondered how Hu Yuanyuan had fared.

“Good day, President Li.”

Li Feng had just entered the company when a familiar voice greeted him; turning, he saw Liu Ruyan smiling as she approached from the other side.

Today Liu Ruyan wore a goose-yellow narrow skirt paired with a silken white blouse, her snow-white slender legs sheathed in black glass stockings, her soft feet shod in red high heels.

In particular, her tall, graceful, and elegant figure made her seem alluring and captivating.

“Liu Ruyan, oh no, it should be Manager Liu now.” Li Feng smiled at Liu Ruyan as he spoke; the first time he had met her, she was a mere receptionist, but now she was lobby manager and thus in management.

“President Li jests; before you, I am still that receptionist.” Liu Ruyan replied hastily. The man before her was no ordinary superior but her boss, and facing him made Liu Ruyan feel immense pressure.

Recalling how she had nearly offended him at their first meeting, now it sent a shiver of lingering fear through her.

“Is that the not-so-innocent receptionist.” Li Feng gazed at Liu Ruyan’s coquettish smile and enchanting figure, his expression drifting for a moment as he blurted it out.

“President Li, you…” Liu Ruyan’s cheeks flushed, making her seem all the more alluring.

Li Feng laughed heartily, eyeing the documents in Liu Ruyan’s hands, and said, “Enough teasing; focus on your work, and with your abilities, what awaits you is more than just lobby manager.”

Liu Ruyan nodded.

Li Feng said no more and headed for the lift, but after a few steps he heard the click of high heels; turning, he saw Liu Ruyan approaching the lift.

“You taking the lift too.” Li Feng asked.

“Mm.” Liu Ruyan nodded.

“Heh, ladies first, please.” Li Feng smiled and gestured to her.

“How could I; President Li, you go ahead.” Liu Ruyan shook her head at once; she had no wish to walk ahead of Li Feng, who was after all her boss.

“No, no, ladies first.” Li Feng shook his head.

Liu Ruyan hesitated, then seeing Li Feng’s firm stance, desisted.

As they entered the lift, because Liu Ruyan wore women’s leather shoes, though the heel was not high, she stepped into the sliding groove of the lift door with one foot.

Li Feng followed behind, admiring Liu Ruyan’s back view, when suddenly he saw her foot slip, and with an “ah” she tumbled sideways and backward; he hurriedly pulled her back.

“Careful.”

Li Feng caught Liu Ruyan, but in pulling too hard he tore open the buttons of her blouse, revealing a glimpse of spring.

Li Feng’s gaze fell on that deep cleavage, and he at once felt his mouth go dry; yet recalling she was his subordinate, he strove to rein in his thoughts.

Helping Liu Ruyan to stand steady, Li Feng’s hand brushed her chest, that tingling numbness sending a jolt through him.

“Manager Liu, are you alright; careful, stand firm.” Li Feng’s hand left Liu Ruyan’s chest but did not release her entirely, lest she fall again.

“President Li, I am fine, thank you…” Liu Ruyan struggled, her pretty face flushed red like a ripe apple, utterly enticing.

Li Feng’s heart pounded at the sight. Liu Ruyan was simply too alluring; as a vigorous young man, his resistance to such temptation was limited.

The two entered the lift, the doors closing tight, leaving just them.

Li Feng pressed the button, and the lift rose slowly. Liu Ruyan, face crimson, fumbled in some disarray to straighten her clothes.

Liu Ruyan’s flustered manner, combined with her shy face, stirred Li Feng ever more; the wicked fire he had quelled now surged forth.

Li Feng stepped forward in a rush, pulling Liu Ruyan into his arms and, heedless of all, kissing her cherry lips.

“Mm…”

Liu Ruyan was utterly stunned, her beautiful eyes staring blankly at Li Feng, filled with disbelief.

While Liu Ruyan remained dazed, Li Feng savoured her cherry lips to his heart’s content until she was breathless, then released her.

“President Li, you…” Liu Ruyan was both shy and angry at being taken advantage of by Li Feng.

“Liu Ruyan, forgive me; you are simply too beautiful, I could not help myself.” Li Feng whispered softly in Liu Ruyan’s ear.

“You, you… I, I…”

“Ruyan, do you know, from the first day I saw you, I was deeply captivated by your beauty, feeling you were the angel heaven sent me…” Li Feng held Liu Ruyan close, sweet nothings flowing like a tide.

With a “ding”, the lift arrived, and Li Feng’s expression shifted, for he heard footsteps.

Thus, Li Feng murmured in Liu Ruyan’s ear, “Ruyan, someone is coming.”
