Tianhai Customs Supervisor Frames Fen Yuan Group for Arms Smuggling
Supervisor Xu’s One-Man Rule: Where Is the Law
The Chief Framer: Tianhai Customs’ Supervisor Xu
One report after another shocked the whole of Tianhai City, shocked all of Hua Xia; that very day, Supervisor Xu was taken away by the Discipline Inspection Commission for investigation.
Bang.
In a presidential suite in Tianhai City, a young man sat with an ashen face, staring at the news; if Supervisor Xu were here, he would surely recognise this youth as none other than the Fu Shao he had mentioned.
“Damn useless fool; arms smuggling, of all things.”
At this moment, Fu Shao was angrier than ever; he had never thought this simple affair would turn into such a mess under Supervisor Xu’s handling. Hua Xia regulated arms especially strictly, and now Supervisor Xu had accused Fen Yuan Group of arms smuggling, pushing them towards ruin; no wonder Fen Yuan Group would not let it lie.
You claim to frame Fen Yuan Group for arms smuggling, so at least plant some arms on their freighter; but you, in days of effort, did nothing, and now reporters have scoured the vessel top to bottom, finding no arms at all.
Now not only was he himself in gaol, but Fu Shao could not get the machines he wanted.
“I must have been blind to pick such a waste.” Fu Shao itched to slap himself; originally, he had thought once the machines reached Tianhai Customs, he could use customs men to swap them out and seize the batch, but this incompetent Supervisor Xu had slapped Fen Yuan Group with an arms smuggling charge.
For an ordinary foreign trade firm, framing would be framing, but Fen Yuan Group’s president was Hu Yuanyuan, daughter of the Northwest Tiger; was she one to be framed easily. No need to think: these reporters must have been called by Hu Yuanyuan.
You courting death by framing Hu Yuanyuan was your affair, but at least wait until I have the machines; now, with the machines still on the freighter, this has happened, making it impossible to take them unnoticed.
Fu Shao rued deeply; he had arranged everything, but now at this crucial juncture it had gone awry, rendering all his plans useless.
Angry though he was, Fu Shao knew anger solved nothing; the key was to address the problem.
With this thought, he made a call.
Five minutes later, a youth entered: “Fu Shao, you wanted me.”
“Zheng Haoyuan, I have a task for you.” Fu Shao looked at the youth flatly.
“Fu Shao, rest easy; I shall handle it impeccably.” The youth Zheng Haoyuan patted his chest.
“Very good.” Fu Shao nodded in satisfaction: “Last time, did I not have you commission Sun Group to buy a batch of machines from France. Now go and acquire that batch.”
“Fu Shao, rest easy; I shall handle this impeccably.” Hearing this, Zheng Haoyuan replied at once.
“Sun Group has been swallowed by Fen Yuan Group now, so to get the machines, you must go through Fen Yuan Group; Fen Yuan Group is no simple matter, so do not botch it.” Fu Shao thought of Fen Yuan Group’s Hu Yuanyuan and could not help reminding him.
“Fu Shao, rest easy; in Tianhai City, there is nothing Zheng Haoyuan cannot accomplish.” Zheng Haoyuan smiled unconcernedly; though their Tianhai Zheng family was not top-tier in the city, it ranked first-rate, with nothing beyond their reach.
Fu Shao nodded.

Fen Yuan Group, President’s Office.
“Li Feng, this is your method.” Hu Yuanyuan set down the newspaper and looked at Li Feng as she asked: “Were you not going to drag out the one behind Supervisor Xu. How does this drag anyone out.”
“No rush; this is just the first step, next the mysterious buyer ought to surface.” Li Feng said flatly.
“Buyer.” Hu Yuanyuan paused, looking at Li Feng in bewilderment.
“Because I suddenly thought this mysterious buyer might be one and the same as the one behind Supervisor Xu.” Li Feng said.
“How could that be.” Hu Yuanyuan’s face showed utter disbelief; if one and the same, did he need to go to such lengths.
“Nothing is impossible; think, what are these machines for. Experiments; how many private laboratories are there in Hua Xia. If an ordinary private lab, do they need such secrecy. Besides, can these machines only do simple chemical experiments. No, I think someone is researching something unseemly.”
“Since so, the other side surely does not want others knowing what they research, naturally unwilling to buy machines openly from abroad, so they commissioned Sun Xipeng to procure them; otherwise, why was Sun Group so secretive about buying these machines, keeping company folk in the dark. Only this buyer did not expect Sun Group to be swallowed by our Fen Yuan Group; unwilling to show himself before us, he joined with Supervisor Xu to plan a swap and seize the machines.”
“Perhaps in this mysterious buyer’s view, to our Fen Yuan Group, this batch of machines is ownerless, lost without notice.”
Li Feng analysed, though he knew not that he had only guessed part of it, and the irrelevant part at that.
At this moment, hearing Li Feng’s analysis, Hu Yuanyuan could not help nodding; it made sense, with no flaws she could pick, only…
“If the other side wanted to swap, how dare they claim we smuggled arms. Is that not declaring mortal enmity with us.” Hu Yuanyuan asked, puzzled.
“This is likely just Supervisor Xu’s doing.” Li Feng waved the newspaper in his hand and said flatly: “See, once trouble arises, even Supervisor Xu’s ancestors eighteen generations back are dug up; such deeds are not his first, and he must be practised at them by now.”
Thinking of the newspaper’s reports on Supervisor Xu’s illustrious misdeeds, Hu Yuanyuan was utterly speechless; she had never imagined Supervisor Xu so bold, accomplishing so much in years at Tianhai Customs.
“Truth be told, we ought to thank this Supervisor Xu; without him insisting on pinning arms smuggling on us, we might truly have lost this batch of machines.” Li Feng said with a faint smile.
“You can still laugh.” Hu Yuanyuan shot him a displeased glare.
“Why not; this affair costs our company nothing, and even gives us free publicity.” Li Feng laughed as he stood, coming behind Hu Yuanyuan and placing his hands on her shoulders.
Hu Yuanyuan trembled all over and warned: “Li Feng, this is the office; do not get ideas.”
After several intimate encounters with Li Feng, Hu Yuanyuan no longer minded him, but in the past, if he came within a metre, she would have slapped him.
“Yuanyuan, are your words hinting at something.” Li Feng leant to her ear and chuckled softly: “Meaning, as long as it is not the office, I can get ideas.”
Hu Yuanyuan’s face reddened; her earlier words were too open to misinterpretation. “Not at all; do not get the wrong idea, or, or do not blame me for being unkind.”
“Then I want to know, where can I get ideas.” Li Feng murmured intimately in her ear, one hand sliding along her fragrant shoulder.
“Nowhere at all.”
Breathing in Li Feng’s strong masculine scent, Hu Yuanyuan felt her body and mind grow intoxicated and yearning.
Li Feng pulled, drawing Hu Yuanyuan tightly into his embrace.
Hu Yuanyuan’s face flushed like a ripe red apple; she turned her pretty face aside in shy embarrassment and said to him, “You… you… too close.”
Li Feng blew gently on Hu Yuanyuan’s little ear, his ambiguous, magnetic voice drifting into her ear: “Yuanyuan, I… I like you.”
Hu Yuanyuan’s cheeks burned redder still; a surge of emotion welled up unbidden, making her whole body feel soft and limp.
Her fair, lovely face flushed deeper, her heart pounding wildly as she said in a voice soft as orchid breath, her powder face shy and lips like cherries: “I do not like you at all.”
“With me liking you, that suffices.” Li Feng held Hu Yuanyuan tightly, one hand tentatively roaming her body.
“Hate you; let me go quickly.” Hu Yuanyuan shot Li Feng a coquettish glare.
“Say you like me, and I shall let you go.” Li Feng’s lips rubbed against Hu Yuanyuan’s white, soft earlobe.
Hu Yuanyuan felt Li Feng’s hand roaming freely over her, leaving her limp and strengthless, murmuring: “You are too wicked, always bullying me.”
Li Feng chuckled, his hand climbing from her waist upwards.
