Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 140

Cai Die was the strongest opponent Li Feng had encountered in this world, and he didn’t dare underestimate her. Channeling his full true qi, he swung his long blade, unleashing a meter-high blade beam.

“Child’s play!” Cai Die sneered, grabbing at the air with her left hand.

Crack!

The massive blade beam was torn apart by her bare hand.

Swish, swish!

Her own blade beam reached Li Feng, its piercing whistle carrying a shadow of death.

Unfazed, Li Feng flipped his blade, slashing out in midair.

Bang!

The blade beams collided, dissipating into nothingness.

Boom!

Cai Die didn’t pause, flipping her left hand to deliver a palm strike.

“Li Feng, die!”

Her palm carried cyan qi, tearing through the air with the force of a mountain, relentless and overwhelming.

Li Feng frowned slightly. Though the palm hadn’t reached him, its fierce wind felt like sharp blades, chilling him to the bone.

“Mountain-Splitting Sea!”

Unwilling to back down, Li Feng unleashed his own palm strike, its force surging like waves, one after another, unstoppable.

Boom!

His palm met her black giant palm, producing a deafening roar, sparks crackling as they clashed.

Both palm shadows vanished in midair. Li Feng stepped back, steadying himself, eyeing Cai Die cautiously.

Cai Die was blasted back by the force, crashing into the wall and tumbling to the ground, spitting blood.

“This is all you’ve got to kill me?” Li Feng’s gaze held a cold edge. The clash had churned his qi and blood, but his tempered body held firm. Without it, he’d be in bad shape too.

Cai Die stood, wiping blood, her eyes icy. “Li Feng, I must admit, you’re strong—stronger than expected. It seems the higher-ups underestimated you.”

“Higher-ups?” Li Feng raised an eyebrow, asking gravely, “How did your higher-ups evaluate me?”

Cai Die gave him a deep look, sneering, “What, trying to fish for information? Want to know who sent me to kill you?”

“Exactly. I’m curious. Someone who can send a skilled fighter like you must be no ordinary person,” Li Feng nodded, admitting his intent. “Telling me might be your best choice. It’s the only way you might survive today.”

“Hmph, survive?” Cai Die laughed coldly, her gaze chilling. “You think you can kill me today? Do you have the strength?”

“Try me and find out,” Li Feng sneered.

Raising his blade slowly, Cai Die’s face twisted with menace. “Li Feng, today you die.”

Whoosh!

She moved like a gust of wind, charging at Li Feng.

In an instant, the distance between them shrank to less than three meters.

“Death Slash!”

Cai Die’s killing intent surged, unleashing a lethal move.

Her blade beam, wrapped in a black cyclone, thundered toward Li Feng with devastating force.

Swish, swish, swish…

The beam tore through the air, producing a sonic boom, as if it could rend space itself.

Li Feng’s expression grew solemn, his eyes gleaming sharply as he raised his blade.

In that moment, he became like a razor-sharp blade, unfathomable.

Cai Die’s pupils shrank. Before she could react, Li Feng slashed, sending a two-meter-long blade beam her way.

Boom!

The beams collided, shaking the air with shockwaves rippling outward.

The VIP ward trembled violently, walls cracking, debris falling.

Bang!

With a muffled grunt, both Li Feng and Cai Die staggered back.

Pfft!

Cai Die spat blood, collapsing to the ground.

Suppressing his churning qi and blood, Li Feng approached her, blade in hand, his gaze cold and murderous.

“Even that move couldn’t kill you,” Cai Die said, a bleak smile on her face.

“Your fate was sealed,” Li Feng sneered, his killing intent unrelenting. He wouldn’t spare her just because she was a woman. Sometimes, women were more ruthless than men, and Cai Die was clearly such a person.

She gave a cold laugh, as if mocking him or herself.

“One last time: who sent you to kill me?” Li Feng asked coldly. He knew the chances of her answering were slim, but he wanted to try. Even a lie might offer clues.

From the crossroads ambush to this hospital attack, the force behind Cai Die was no simple matter. He desperately wanted to know who it was.

“Don’t waste your effort. Kill me if you want,” Cai Die said, planting her blade in the ground, struggling to stand, her expression blank. “Thinking you can get answers from me? Delusional.”

“Stubborn fool, then die!”

Li Feng’s aura peaked, raising his blade high, his eyes blazing with killing intent.

“Die!”

With a roar, his blade swung down.

Bang!

At that moment, a loud crash sounded as the ward’s door was kicked open. A figure appeared, shouting, “Freeze!”

It was Shu Wei. Seeing the ward in chaos and the fallen black-clad figures, he instantly knew what had happened. His face darkened with rage.

This was a hospital, yet such an incident occurred. How could he explain this to his superiors?

Seeing Li Feng about to kill Cai Die, Shu Wei shouted without thinking, “Li Feng, stop!”

Li Feng sneered coldly. Stop? Only an idiot would stop now. Cai Die came to kill him; if he didn’t kill her, was he supposed to wait for her to recover and try again?

Letting the grass grow back after failing to uproot it was a mistake he wouldn’t make.

He wasn’t soft-hearted. Those who tried to kill him had to be ready to die.

His blade didn’t stop; it slashed down faster and harder. Cai Die’s face shifted, raising her blade to block.

Bang!

She was sent flying, crashing into the wall, a deep, bone-exposing wound on her chest.

“Overreaching,” Li Feng sneered. He wasn’t surprised she blocked his strike, but in his eyes, she was at her limit. Killing her would be effortless now.

“Li Feng, stop, do you hear me?” Shu Wei, furious that Li Feng ignored his order, raised his gun at him. He didn’t care why Cai Die was here or why Li Feng was killing her; his only thought was to stop him.

As a cop, in Shu Wei’s eyes, everything required legal judgment. To him, Li Feng’s killing was unforgivable.

Li Feng sneered, ignoring him. Shu Wei’s police mindset was muddled; he couldn’t see the situation clearly.

Stomping forward, Li Feng swung his blade at Cai Die.

“Stop!” Shu Wei roared, seeing Li Feng ignore him. Enraged, he instinctively pulled the trigger.

Li Feng, sensing danger, surged his true qi, activating Phantom Ninefold, sidestepping.

Bang!

The bullet hit the wall.

“Are you insane?” Li Feng turned, glaring at Shu Wei, his eyes blazing with fury.

“No killing in my presence,” Shu Wei declared righteously, meeting Li Feng’s glare without backing down.

“You…” Li Feng’s gaze chilled.

In that instant, Cai Die’s face twisted with a sinister smile. Slapping the ground, she lunged at Shu Wei.

Shu Wei, focused on Li Feng, didn’t expect Cai Die, so gravely injured, to counterattack. Before he could react, she grabbed his collar, and he felt himself lifted into the air.

Seeing Cai Die target Shu Wei, Li Feng realized the danger and charged, but Cai Die hurled Shu Wei at him.

Li Feng’s face changed. He had two choices: kill Shu Wei to reach Cai Die, or save Shu Wei, letting Cai Die escape.

A flash of killing intent crossed his eyes. If not for Shu Wei’s interference, Cai Die might already be dead. He was tempted to kill him.

But Shu Wei was a cop; he couldn’t die by Li Feng’s hand. Reluctantly, Li Feng caught Shu Wei.

“Li Feng, next time, I’ll kill you,” Cai Die’s venomous voice echoed.

Looking up, Li Feng saw she had vanished from the ward.

“You idiot!” Li Feng glared at Shu Wei coldly. “You moron, you’re so blinded by being a cop you can’t tell friend from foe.”
