In a private room at a club, Su Xin furiously hurled his phone against the wall, veins bulging on his face. “She dared to reject me. She’ll pay the price for that.”
“What got our Young Master Su so angry? Rejected by a little girl?” A young man in white, sitting in the room, laughed. “Who’d have thought our suave romantic saint, Young Master Su, would face rejection? The world is full of surprises.”
“Qin Feng, cut the sarcasm,” Su Xin snapped, glaring at the young man in white. “If it wasn’t for your lousy idea, would I be this humiliated?”
Qin Feng chuckled lightly. “Blaming me now? If you weren’t so smitten with Hu Yuanyuan, begging me for advice, would I bother with your mess? You botched it yourself, and now you point fingers at me?”
“I followed your instructions,” Su Xin said, eyeing Qin Feng. “Your plan just didn’t work. Without your suggestion, I might have already won Hu Yuanyuan over.”
A hint of disdain flashed deep in Qin Feng’s eyes. Who does Hu Yuanyuan think she is, and who do you, Su Xin, think you are to win her over?
“I told you to use Professor Su’s smart chip to collaborate with Hu Yuanyuan, to gain shares in her company. How did you handle it? Fifty percent of the shares? What were you thinking, trying to take control? Hu Yuanyuan values her company above everything, and you wanted her to hand over control. Are you an idiot?” Qin Feng said irritably.
“I…” Su Xin reflected and realised it was his fault, but he wasn’t about to admit it in front of Qin Feng. He argued, “I only wanted fifty percent, not control. There’s still another fifty percent, isn’t there?”
“Who said Xiangfeng Investment Company is wholly owned by Hu Yuanyuan?” Qin Feng retorted impatiently.
“Right, there’s that Li Feng,” Su Xin said, a glint of malice in his eyes. At Yuxuan Tower, it was Li Feng who ruined his plans, and at Xiangfeng Investment’s lab, it was him again. Su Xin loathed him, wishing he could tear him apart.
