Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 211

“See, those are the Zheng family members,” the burly man said, pointing ahead.

Li Feng followed his finger and spotted several young men, led by Wild Wolf, heading toward the Du Sect headquarters villa.

“Just them?” Li Feng asked, puzzled. He couldn’t gauge their strength from this distance, but the Zheng family was merely a first-rate clan. Someone like Zheng Haoyuan, whom they had nurtured with care, showed that the Zheng family’s younger generation wasn’t particularly strong. Li Feng believed he could easily deal with these youths.

“Indeed, this is only part of them,” the burly man said, glancing at the haughty Zheng family members. “There’s one more. That one is the real expert.”

“Expert? How strong?” Li Feng’s heart skipped a beat. He had suspected as much; if the Zheng family sent only these few, how could they hope to kill him? He was curious who this expert the burly man mentioned might be.

Had he known the Zheng family would cause such trouble, he wouldn’t have let Zheng Haoyuan off so easily, or he would have had Zhong Shuhui investigate the Zheng family. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be in the dark about their experts now.

“Not sure. Probably as strong as the gentlemen,” the burly man replied.

“Is that so? That strong?” Li Feng feigned surprise. But inwardly, he dismissed it. If the Zheng family’s expert was only on par with Wild Leopard and the others, they wouldn’t have allowed them into Kunyang Town.

When he had tried to enter Kunyang Town, hadn’t he been attacked by Wild Fox? If Zheng family members came to Kunyang Town and Du Sect did nothing, it was likely they had been attacked too and, seeing the Zheng family’s strength, permitted their entry.

“Let’s go. We’re looking for Li Feng now. Wild Fox has given the order: whoever finds Li Feng gets a reward of one hundred thousand and a beauty,” the burly man said.

“And a beauty?” Li Feng was taken aback. Was there really a reward like that? Was this ancient times? How could such things happen in modern society?

“Of course, a beauty from South Vietnam,” the burly man said, his eyes gleaming. South Vietnam was a small country on the Indochinese Peninsula, renowned for its beauties. Getting one had always been his dream.

“Come on, let’s go check over there,” the burly man urged, eager at the thought of a South Vietnamese beauty.

Li Feng was pulled along, but thanks to the burly man’s presence and his own caution, no one suspected him. Even Wild Leopard wouldn’t imagine that the Li Feng he sought was mingling with Du Sect members.

By nightfall, Li Feng and the others were relieved by another group, and Li Feng made an excuse to leave the villa complex.

That afternoon, Li Feng witnessed the terrifying extent of Du Sect’s power in Kunyang Town. Nearly half the adult men in town were Du Sect members. No wonder they could act with impunity.

But after leaving the villa complex, Li Feng didn’t go far. He hid in a corner. He wanted to disrupt Du Sect’s Blood Refining Grand Formation and kill Du Wu, but the information he had wasn’t enough. He needed more insider details.

After an hour, Li Feng spotted his target.

Wild Fox.

The man who had chased him from the outskirts of Kunyang Town was approaching from not far ahead, with several underlings.

As one of Du Sect’s Four Great Vajras, Wild Fox surely had useful intelligence.

With that in mind, Li Feng quietly followed.

Kunyang Town was just a small town. Streetlights lined the roads, but the place wasn’t brightly lit. Moonlight cast a serene glow.

Li Feng trailed Wild Fox and his men off the main street into a narrow alley with a few quiet households.

Seeing no one around, Li Feng quickened his pace.

“Bloody hell, who does that Zheng Kai think he is, yapping in front of me like that? If Big Brother weren’t there, I’d have bashed his skull in today,” Wild Fox grumbled.

A young man behind Wild Fox said, “Wild Fox sir, these Zheng family folks are so arrogant. Won’t Wild Leopard sir do something? This is Du Sect territory. When did outsiders get to strut around like this?”

“Wild Fox sir, I hear Wild Leopard sir wants to use the Zheng family against Li Feng. Li Feng’s tough, sure, but we Du Sect can handle him ourselves. Even if we need their help, they shouldn’t ride roughshod over us. Are we just going to watch them crap on our heads?” another added, displeased.

“Shut up. Big Brother’s decisions aren’t for you to question,” Wild Fox snapped. But inwardly, he agreed with his underlings. Without his brother, he might have lashed out at the Zheng family, especially that Zheng Kai with his nose in the air, acting like hot stuff.

At that moment, Li Feng stepped forward and threw a punch.

With a bang, it struck one man’s temple. He grunted and collapsed unconscious. Without a word, Li Feng unleashed a swift assault. In less than two seconds, all of Wild Fox’s underlings were dead or down, leaving Wild Fox stunned in place.

Wild Fox’s mouth hung open, staring incredulously at the scene, pointing at Li Feng in shock. “You, you, you…”

“If you shout, you die today,” Li Feng said coldly, a submachine gun suddenly in his hand, its dark barrel aimed at Wild Fox. Though he could kill Wild Fox without it, the gun’s intimidation was greater for someone like him.

“I, I… you… don’t kill me,” Wild Fox dropped to his knees, terrified. Faced with death, he had to fear it. As one of Du Sect’s Four Great Vajras, he was still just an ordinary man, afraid of dying like anyone.

Li Feng eyed Wild Fox, a cold killing intent flashing in his gaze.

“Don’t… don’t kill me…” Wild Fox said, trembling. “Li Feng, spare me. I, I can help you leave Kunyang Town.”

“Leave Kunyang Town?” Li Feng sneered, looking at him like a fool. “Do you think this little Kunyang Town can trap me? I come and go as I please. Do I need you to lead me out?”

Wild Fox’s face changed. He realised the man before him had bested even his brother and slipped away from the villa complex’s defences with ease. Du Sect couldn’t stop him from leaving now.

He had tried to kill Li Feng repeatedly before. Li Feng must hate him to the bone and might kill him any second.

Panic surged. He didn’t want to die, but how to escape Li Feng’s grasp?

“I have questions for you. Answer honestly, or next year today will be your death anniversary,” Li Feng said coldly, staring at Wild Fox.

“A, ask away. I’ll answer truthfully,” Wild Fox stammered.

“Who’s the Du Sect boss?” Li Feng asked.

“Old Master Du,” Wild Fox replied.

“Hmph, I mean his name,” Li Feng snorted, kicking Wild Fox hard. “Shout, and I end you now.”

The kick was vicious, drawing cold sweat from Wild Fox, but he bit back any cry. He didn’t think Li Feng was joking and wouldn’t gamble his life. He endured the agony, curling on the ground.

“Speak. Who is Old Master Du?” Li Feng demanded coldly.

“It’s, it’s Du Wu,” Wild Fox gasped.

“As I thought,” Li Feng’s eyes gleamed. Du Wu was indeed alive. He must be the one cultivating with the Blood Refining Grand Formation.

Wild Fox glanced up in surprise. How did Li Feng know Old Master Du’s name? Even in Du Sect, only the Four Great Vajras knew it.

Had Li Feng come to Kunyang Town because of Old Master Du?

As Wild Fox pondered, Li Feng spoke again. “I want to know what divine technique your Old Master Du is cultivating.”

Indeed!

Wild Fox’s suspicion grew.

“What, didn’t hear me?” Li Feng said coldly.

“I, I don’t know…” Li Feng snorted, grinning darkly at Wild Fox. “Is that so? Don’t know, or won’t say? You’re one of the Four Great Vajras. How could you not know? Do you think I’m an idiot?”

“I, I really don’t. I know Old Master is cultivating a divine technique, but what it is, I truly don’t know. Among us Vajras, only Big Brother Wild Leopard knows,” Wild Fox said, quaking.

“Is that right?” Li Feng stared into Wild Fox’s eyes, searching for deceit, but they seemed calm, truthful.

“Yes, really. I know he’s cultivating something, but I rarely see Old Master, maybe once every few months. I don’t know what technique,” Wild Fox insisted.

“Aren’t you one of the Four Great Vajras? How do you see Du Wu only every few months? What’s going on?” Li Feng asked, puzzled. As Du Sect’s boss, Du Wu should meet with his Vajras often.

“Because Old Master often retreats. Except for Big Brother Wild Leopard, others rarely see him,” Wild Fox explained.

Li Feng nodded, then fixed Wild Fox with a stare. “Now tell me, what’s Old Master Du’s plan?”
