Hearing the loud explosion from the back mountain, not only Wild Leopard but also Wild Wolf’s expression shifted. He hadn’t expected someone to infiltrate the back mountain.
“It seems they’ve been planning this for a long time,” Wild Leopard said, his face dark as water. Only the four great guardians knew the old master was cultivating in the back mountain. For someone to locate him there so precisely, in Wild Leopard’s view, it must have been a carefully orchestrated plan.
The back mountain was also the core of the Blood Refining Array. If the core was destroyed, the entire array would collapse, and the old master’s plan would be ruined.
“Big Brother, who do you think is fighting the old master? Li Feng or that Third Master Zheng?” Wild Wolf asked, turning toward the back mountain.
“It’s Third Master Zheng. Li Feng is strong, but he’s no match for the old master. He wouldn’t cause such a commotion in a fight with him,” Wild Leopard replied without hesitation. Having fought Li Feng and lost an arm to him, he knew Li Feng’s strength well. Though formidable, Li Feng was no match for the old master. This level of disturbance clearly wasn’t caused by Li Feng.
“He’s courting death,” Wild Wolf sneered. In his eyes, the old master was invincible. Though Zheng Xiaoyang was strong, he was no match for the old master and might soon be killed.
Wild Leopard nodded, agreeing with Wild Wolf. For decades, the old master had been an undefeated figure in their minds.
Boom, boom, boom…
A series of loud explosions echoed, causing Wild Leopard and Wild Wolf, who had remained composed, to pale slightly.
“Big Brother, how can this Third Master Zheng be so strong? Could something be wrong?” Wild Wolf said uneasily. Three minutes had passed, yet the explosions continued, meaning the old master hadn’t subdued Zheng Xiaoyang. This was hard for Wild Wolf to believe.

“Alright, I’ll go now,” Wild Wolf said without hesitation, turning to leave.
Wild Leopard didn’t delay either. After Wild Wolf left, he led a large group toward the back mountain.
Meanwhile, Li Feng had entered the cave.
Upon entering, he faced a deep, dark passage. The cave was dimly lit, but energy-saving lamps on the rock walls provided faint illumination.
Li Feng didn’t hesitate and headed deeper into the cave. He knew time was short and he had to destroy the array’s core before Du Wu and Zheng Xiaoyang’s battle concluded.
Li Feng moved quickly, soon reaching the depths of the cave, where he found an aluminum alloy door.
“Is this Du Wu’s cultivation chamber?” Li Feng muttered. Perhaps because Du Wu had left in a hurry, the door was open.
“Who’s there?”
A cold shout rang out, and two burly men with submachine guns emerged from the door.
“It’s me,” Li Feng said, a cold smile curling his lips. In a flash, he reached them, grabbing their throats and lifting them off the ground.
“Shut up, or I’ll make you wish you were dead,” Li Feng said coldly.
The two men, clearly Du Wu’s loyal followers, ignored his warning and reached for their triggers to fire a warning shot.
“Seeking death,” Li Feng sneered, tightening his grip.
Crack!
He snapped their necks and tossed them to the ground, sneering, “I gave you a chance. If you want to die, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
With that, Li Feng stepped through the aluminum alloy door.
“This is…”
Li Feng was stunned by the sight before him. Unlike the chamber he’d imagined, this was a vast hall, as large as a football field. On either side were small rooms with closed doors, their contents unknown.
In the centre of the hall was a halo of glowing runes, beneath which lay a compass. If he wasn’t mistaken, this was the core of the Blood Refining Array.
It was Li Feng’s first time seeing an array, and he was awestruck by its mystical nature.
“How do I break this core?” Li Feng frowned, staring at the array’s core. He knew nothing about arrays and had no idea how to destroy it.
He had come to save the thousands of people in Kunyang Town by destroying the Blood Refining Array, but now, standing before its core, he was at a loss.
Li Feng approached the compass, which was covered in intricate symbols forming a complex diagram—the structure of the array’s core. The interlocking patterns were dizzying.
“No choice, let’s try and see if it works.”
With that, Li Feng struck the compass with a palm.
Just as his hand neared the compass, it emitted a soft glow, and the runes suddenly trembled. Thousands of spiritual threads wove together like electric currents, forming a barrier.

Li Feng’s palm struck the barrier, which shook but remained intact.
“What’s going on? Where did this barrier come from?” Li Feng’s expression changed. That strike, though not his full strength, carried eighty percent of his power, yet the barrier withstood it unscathed. How was that possible?
