Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 221

“Finally broke the Blood Refining Formation.”

In the secret chamber, Li Feng looked at the destroyed core of the formation, letting out a sigh of relief. By sabotaging the Blood Refining Formation, he had prevented Kunyang Town from being refined, marking the first step of his plan a success. Next was to kill Du Wu and deal with Zheng Xiaoyang.

Bending down, he picked up a compass from the ground, glanced at it, but couldn’t make sense of it.

After a moment’s thought, Li Feng tossed the compass into his storage pouch. This compass was a formation disk, essential for setting up grand formations, and might come in handy later.

Looking at the empty chamber, Li Feng smirked with satisfaction. This was a great haul for him. He even wondered if Du Wu would be furious enough to spit blood upon seeing the emptied chamber.

But Li Feng didn’t linger. After collecting the formation disk, he headed out immediately. The chamber had only one passage, and he didn’t want to be trapped in it.

His next goal was to kill Du Wu and Zheng Xiaoyang, but only if they were both weakened from fighting each other and he could overpower them. If he couldn’t, he’d flee without hesitation.

Doing the impossible was for fools. If he couldn’t kill them today, there would be other chances. With the herbs and jade he’d acquired, his strength would surpass theirs in a few months, and killing them would be effortless then.

Of course, if there was even a slim chance, he’d take it to eliminate them for good.

Tap, tap, tap…

As Li Feng ran out of the aluminum alloy door, he heard footsteps approaching.

“Damn it, I didn’t expect Du Wu to react so quickly.”

Li Feng cursed under his breath, his face darkening. If Du Wu caught him in this chamber, escape would be impossible.

No, wait.

He quickly realised the footsteps were chaotic, clearly not from one person.

Could Du Wu have brought people to storm in?

Li Feng dismissed the idea. Du Wu was a peak Acquired Realm martial artist, too proud to charge in with ordinary men. Besides, the Blood Refining Formation was crucial. If Du Wu were among them, he’d have rushed into the chamber at full speed.

The only explanation was that Du Wu wasn’t among those coming.

If not Du Wu, then it must be other Du Clan members.

This thought put Li Feng at ease. It meant the fight between Du Wu and Zheng Xiaoyang wasn’t over.

Other Du Clan members?

Li Feng sneered. In Kunyang Town, he only feared Du Wu and Zheng Xiaoyang. The rest didn’t concern him.

With a cold glint in his eyes, two submachine guns appeared in his hands.

For ordinary Du Clan members, using martial techniques would waste his true energy. His marksmanship was more than enough to handle them.

Before, he might have worried about running out of bullets if there were too many enemies, but now his storage pouch held plenty of submachine guns. If one ran dry, he could switch to another.

“Quick, quick, quick…”

Wild Leopard’s voice came from the passage entrance. A cold smile flickered on Li Feng’s lips as he stomped the ground and charged out.

“Go to hell.”

Li Feng sneered, raising his submachine guns and firing at the Du Clan members rushing in.

“Rat-tat-tat…”

Twin streams of fire spat out, bullets reaping lives.

“Ah…”

“Help…”

Screams rang out as the frontmost Du Clan members fell.

“Take cover, return fire!” Wild Leopard roared in fury, retreating behind a rock, his eyes blazing as he glared at the cave.

“Rat-tat-tat…”

Gunfire and screams continued. Wild Leopard knew each scream meant another Du Clan member’s death, his heart bleeding.

“Hahaha, what a thrill.”

Li Feng laughed, charging forward while firing nonstop. With his marksmanship, nearly every bullet took a life. He lost count of how many he’d killed, but bodies littered the ground.

Reaching the cave entrance, he’d already switched guns several times.

“Li Feng, it’s really you.” From behind a rock, Wild Leopard glared at him, teeth gritted. Though he’d suspected Li Feng was behind the formation’s destruction, confirming it now fueled his rage.

“Wild Leopard, today’s your day to die.” Li Feng sneered. Wild Leopard’s voice was loud; how could he miss it? He hadn’t killed him last time, but this time, he wouldn’t let him escape.

“Hmph, Li Feng, you’re the one who’ll die today.” Wild Leopard snorted. With only one arm, he knew he wasn’t Li Feng’s match, but if he could stall him, Du Wu would surely come to kill him.

“Want me dead? I’ll kill you first.” Li Feng snorted and lunged at Wild Leopard.

“Stop him!” Wild Leopard shouted.

“Die!” Du Clan members emerged from hiding, rushing at Li Feng with gleaming machetes.

Indeed, machetes.

They had guns, but at just a few meters away, Li Feng’s speed left no time to shoot without risking friendly fire. Machetes were their only option for close combat.

Their goal was to force Li Feng into melee, denying him the chance to use his terrifying marksmanship, which had already claimed many of their brothers.

“Perfect timing.” Li Feng sneered, his submachine guns vanishing, replaced by a large blade.

“Today, I’ll slaughter to my heart’s content.” Li Feng wasn’t one to fear close combat; as a martial artist, it was his forte.

With a roar, he charged.

Li Feng stomped the ground, leaping into the air. His legs lashed out in rapid kicks, striking two burly men like lightning. He vaulted over one’s head, his left foot stomping down, propelling him upward again. Like an eagle pouncing on a rabbit, he dove at two others.

His blade flashed.

Crack!

One man was cleaved in two, collapsing with a thud.

Seeing this, the two beside him froze in terror, but with no time to think, they swung their machetes at Li Feng.

Li Feng’s eyes glinted coldly, his blade dancing.

Clang, clang.

He knocked their machetes flying, then lunged forward, his left fist shooting out.

Crack!

His punch crushed one man’s nose, blood spraying as the bone shattered. The man screamed, dropped his machete, clutched his nose, and staggered back.

Landing, Li Feng raised his blade, eyeing Wild Leopard with a cold smile. “Wild Leopard, you think these losers can kill me? Aren’t you the head of the Du Clan’s Four Diamonds? Since when did you become a coward hiding behind others?”

Wild Leopard’s face twisted with rage. He stepped out, machete in hand. “Li Feng, you think I’m scared of you?”

“Aren’t you?” Li Feng sneered, his eyes flashing with killing intent. “Du Wu wanted to use the Blood Refining Formation to refine Kunyang Town, and you’re his accomplice. Today, you’ll die, and so will Du Wu.”

“Hahaha.” Wild Leopard laughed, then fixed Li Feng with a chilling stare. “Li Feng, your scheme worked, even fooling me. But do you think you can leave Kunyang Town now? Today, not only will you die, but the Zheng family will too.”

“You? You’ve got the strength for that? Or are you counting on your old man, Du Wu, one of the Du Clan’s founders?” Li Feng scoffed. “Du Wu’s probably struggling to save himself. You think he’ll survive today?”

“Hmph, the old master’s skills are unmatched. You wouldn’t understand.” Wild Leopard snorted.

“Really? Why don’t you turn around and see?” Li Feng smirked.

“As if I’d believe you.” Despite his words, Wild Leopard glanced back, just in time to see Du Wu wounded by Zheng Xiaoyang’s fire talisman. His face paled. He hadn’t expected Zheng Xiaoyang, so clearly outmatched, to land such a fierce counterattack.

“Hahaha, Wild Leopard, see that? That’s your old master, the one with unmatched skills.” Li Feng mocked.

Wild Leopard whipped around, glaring at Li Feng. “Li Feng, the old master won’t lose. I’ll kill you first.”

“Kill me? You? Got the ability?” Li Feng sneered, charging at Wild Leopard with his blade.

Wild Leopard snorted, raising his machete to meet him.

Clang!

Their blades clashed, sparks flying. Wild Leopard gripped his handle tightly, pressing against Li Feng.

Li Feng grinned coldly. “Wild Leopard, even with two arms, you weren’t my match. Now with one, you think you stand a chance?”

Wild Leopard’s forehead veins bulged. “Is that so, Li Feng? You’re nothing special. Today, I’ll kill you.”

“You’ve got the skill for that?” Li Feng smirked, launching a fierce kick at Wild Leopard.

Wild Leopard snorted, meeting the kick with his own. “Try me, Li Feng. This is Du Clan territory. You think I’m alone?”

“These losers?” Li Feng scoffed.

Wild Leopard sneered. “Li Feng, you never should’ve come to Kunyang Town or ruined the old master’s plan.”

As he spoke, Du Clan members closed in, slashing at Li Feng with their machetes.

“Kill.”

Their blades gleamed, silver arcs slicing through the night toward Li Feng.

“Courting death.”

Li Feng roared, his left hand forming a palm strike and slamming out.
