“Qu Gang?”
Li Feng gave a cold laugh and looked at him. “I have been around Tianhai City for years, yet I have never once heard your name. Are you, Qu Gang, supposed to be famous?”
“Haha, you have never even heard of Gang Shao? No wonder you are so arrogant.” Wang Mengying burst into loud laughter.
“Wang Mengying, what are you laughing at? I honestly have never heard of any Qu Gang. I do not know which rich family this playboy crawled out of. Threaten me? Hah, you think I will believe that?” Li Feng sneered.
“You…”
Wang Mengying opened his mouth, but Qu Gang stopped him. He stared at Li Feng. “Kid, so you really have not heard of this young master? Hah, no wonder you dare act so cocky. Still, I must admire your guts for being this arrogant in front of me. Do you know what happened to the last people who dared act arrogant before me?”
“What happened to them?” Li Feng asked cooperatively.
“They all died.” Qu Gang enunciated each word while staring at Li Feng.
“Died? How is that possible?” Li Feng put on a look of “shock”.
Seeing his reaction, Qu Gang felt very satisfied and said smugly, “Exactly. Anyone who offended me is dead. From then on, nobody dared cross me. In all these years, you are the first.”
“So I am going to die too?” Li Feng sneered inwardly. This Qu Gang was unbelievably arrogant. He had no idea where such confidence came from.
Hold on. Qu Gang, surname Qu. Could he be from the Qu family, one of Tianhai City’s four great families?
At that thought, Li Feng studied Qu Gang carefully and noticed he did indeed resemble Qu Xiuwen.
A cold smile flashed across Li Feng’s mind. He had been looking for a way to deal with the four families, and now Qu Gang had delivered himself right to his door. It seemed he might be able to use this fool as a breakthrough against them.
“Of course.” Qu Gang nodded without hesitation. He had no idea the man before him was someone even his father Qu Xiuwen feared. He looked at Li Feng with a cold smirk. “However, I, Qu Gang, am not the type to kill without mercy. Kowtow, apologise, and hand over your girlfriend Xu Qing nicely. Maybe I will spare your worthless life.”
Li Feng sneered inwardly but put on a frightened face. “But earlier Wang Mengying said he wanted me to hand Xu Qing over to him.”
“Wang Mengying, you want Xu Qing too?” Qu Gang turned and stared coldly at Wang Mengying.
“Gang Shao, I…” Wang Mengying looked close to tears. He never expected Qu Gang to take a fancy to Xu Qing. Yes, she was breathtakingly beautiful, but Qu Gang had seen every kind of woman. Why her? Xu Qing was supposed to be his.
“So you really did want her?” Qu Gang said icily.
“Gang Shao…” Wang Mengying took a deep breath, hesitating. Everything he had today came from Qu Gang’s support. Without Qu Gang, there would be no Wang Mengying. Moreover, he knew Qu Gang’s character well. This was a ruthless playboy who would stop at nothing. Someone like him was far beyond Wang Mengying’s ability to resist.
“Gang Shao, if you like Xu Qing, she is yours. How would I, Wang Mengying, ever dare compete with you?” Faced with a choice between a woman and his future, Wang Mengying chose his future without hesitation. With money, what woman could he not get?
His classmates all looked at him in disbelief. They never imagined Wang Mengying would say such a thing just to curry favour with Qu Gang.
“Now you can hand Xu Qing over to me, right?” Qu Gang looked triumphantly at Li Feng.
“When did I ever say I would hand Xu Qing over to you?” Li Feng laughed coldly.
“You are courting death.” Qu Gang flew into a rage.
“Courting death? Qu Gang, is there something wrong with your brain? I never said I would give Xu Qing to you. You are just full of yourself. Xu Qing is my girlfriend. Why should I give her to you? Gang Shao? Who knows if you are even the real deal.” Li Feng sneered.
“You…” Qu Gang was livid. This was the first time anyone had ever questioned his identity.
“Wang Mengying, tell him who I am.” Qu Gang ordered coldly.
“Yes.” Wang Mengying knew he had lost all face in front of his classmates today, but he had no choice. His only option was to cling tighter to Qu Gang’s thigh.
He glared at Li Feng. “Listen well. Gang Shao is Qu Gang, eldest young master of the Qu family, one of Tianhai City’s four great families. He is the Qu family heir.”
“The eldest young master of the Qu family? It cannot be that Qu family, can it?”
“Is there any other Qu family in Tianhai City? There is only one.”
“The Qu family heir? A true favoured son of heaven. So he really is the Qu family successor.”
“Wang Mengying has hit the jackpot, clinging to the Qu family. From now on he will have whatever he wants in Tianhai City.”
“Yes, yes, who would have thought Wang Mengying had such capability.”
All of Wang Mengying’s classmates worked in Tianhai City and naturally knew what the four great families represented, especially the Qu family. Their eyes shone as they looked at him.
Several female classmates, in particular, had unusual glints in their eyes. They thought that if they could latch onto Wang Mengying, they might reach the Qu family, even if it meant trading their bodies.
Hearing the murmurs, pride flashed in Wang Mengying’s eyes. At this moment, he felt his choice had been absolutely correct.

“Regret? Why would I regret anything? Just a spoiled brat. You think I would fear him?” Li Feng laughed coldly. As expected, a Qu family member. Truly, you need not search far and wide; it comes without effort. He could not take on all four families alone, but breaking them one by one was another matter.
“You…” Wang Mengying stared at him furiously. In his mind, the moment Li Feng heard Qu Gang’s identity, he should have been trembling and begging for mercy on his knees. Yet not only was Li Feng not trembling, he was sneering.
Not just Wang Mengying. Qu Gang was also enraged. He stared coldly at Li Feng. “So there really is someone who does not fear death. Hah, since that is the case, do not blame me for being rude. Wang Mengying, teach him a harsh lesson.”
“…” Wang Mengying looked warily at Li Feng. He had not expected Qu Gang to order him to do it. Those two earlier slaps had caught him off guard. Now, asking him to fight Li Feng? He did not dare.
“What is it, Wang Mengying? You dare disobey me?” Qu Gang’s expression turned icy.
“You idiot.” Li Feng looked at Qu Gang with a cold laugh.
“What did you say?” Qu Gang exploded with rage and swung a slap at Li Feng.
Li Feng caught his wrist effortlessly. “What, your lackey will not move, so you want to do it yourself?”
“You…” Qu Gang glared furiously.
“Know who gave Wang Mengying those two slaps on his face? Me. You want him to teach me a lesson? Does Wang Mengying have the guts?” Li Feng sneered.
Qu Gang’s face turned livid. He shot Wang Mengying a vicious glare, then stared at Li Feng. “Let go of me.”
“Let you go? Sure.” Li Feng smirked and shoved with force.

Qu Gang crashed heavily onto the floor.
“You… you actually dared lay hands on Gang Shao?” Wang Mengying looked on in disbelief. In his eyes, Qu Gang was untouchable. From the day he met him, nobody had ever raised a hand against Qu Gang, not even cursed him.
Yet Li Feng had not only cursed him but struck him. Was Li Feng truly unafraid of death, or did he have something to rely on?
For a moment, even Wang Mengying could not tell.
“Idiot. He wanted to hit me first. Why can I not hit him back? Wang Mengying, I thought your backer would be somebody, but it turns out he is just a brainless spoiled brat. Looks like I overestimated you.” Li Feng said coldly.
“Ah, you are dead.” Qu Gang scrambled up from the floor and glared at Li Feng.
“Dead? Qu Gang, do you have the ability right now?” Li Feng laughed coldly and walked towards him.
“What are you doing?” Wang Mengying hurriedly blocked Li Feng. He could not let anything happen to Qu Gang. If Qu Gang got hurt, he would suffer too.
“Get out of my way.” Li Feng shoved Wang Mengying aside.
Wang Mengying tumbled to the floor. Seeing Li Feng step over him towards Qu Gang, he panicked and shouted at Xu Qing, who was still sitting on the sofa. “Xu Qing, stop your boyfriend! Offend Gang Shao and neither of you will come out of this alive.”
Xu Qing glanced coldly at Wang Mengying but said nothing. So what if Qu Gang was from the Qu family? Li Feng was not ignorant. Since he chose to act, he had his reasons. Why should she stop him?
“You, you, what are you doing?” Seeing Li Feng approach with an icy expression, fear appeared on Qu Gang’s face. He backed towards the door, watching Li Feng warily. He had never imagined anyone in Tianhai City would dare raise a hand against him.
“What do you think, Gang Shao?” Li Feng sneered.
“You are courting death. Men!” Qu Gang reached the door and shouted outside. Instantly, two bodyguards rushed in.
“Beat him senseless. I want him to know the price of crossing me.” Standing safely behind the two bodyguards, Qu Gang regained his confidence. He pointed at Li Feng, a ferocious cold smile on his face.
