“Li Feng, what, what do you want?” Liu Shichao’s face changed, looking at Li Feng with fear.
“What? Heh, Master Liu, what do you think I want?” Li Feng sneered, eyeing Liu Shichao like he was an idiot. “Seems you forgot about last time at Emperor Pavilion. Need me to jog your memory?”
As he spoke, a dagger appeared in Li Feng’s hand.
“You…” Seeing the dagger, Liu Shichao’s face turned ashen, the scene from Emperor Pavilion flashing before him.
“Li Feng, what do you want? Don’t you want me to help you make money?”
“Help me make money?” Li Feng laughed disdainfully.
“Exactly, don’t you want your billion to become ten billion?” Liu Shichao, seeing Li Feng’s smile, thought he was tempted and grew bolder.
“A billion to ten billion? Big talk.”
Li Feng sneered, squinting at him. “In Tianhai City, how do you, Liu Shichao, compare to Hu Yuanyuan? Even she can’t guarantee turning a billion into ten billion in a year. You think you’re better than her? I haven’t heard your name among Tianhai’s top ten outstanding youths.”
“You, you don’t believe…” Liu Shichao was stunned, looking at Li Feng in disbelief. He thought Li Feng believed he could turn a billion into ten billion when he signed the contract, but now Li Feng’s words confused him. If Li Feng didn’t believe it, why sign? Unless he knew the contract was…
“You, Li Quan, and Wang Xiong planned this to get my Xiangfeng Investment shares, didn’t you?” Li Feng said coldly.
“How did you know?” Liu Shichao’s face changed drastically. All along, they thought they had Li Feng in their grasp, but now he realised the Li Feng before him wasn’t the one they imagined.
He should’ve known.
Liu Shichao gave a bitter smile. At Emperor Pavilion, Li Feng’s behaviour was already different, but though scared, he didn’t take it seriously. Now, he saw his mistake.
“Figure it out, idiot,” Li Feng chuckled, his smile demonic in Liu Shichao’s eyes.
Suddenly, Li Feng’s expression shifted, his eyes glinting with killing intent. “Tell me, besides you, Li Quan, and Wang Xiong, who else is involved?”
“I, I don’t know,” Liu Shichao, just a spoiled rich kid, trembled under Li Feng’s menace.
“Not talking?” Li Feng sneered, moving in a flash to stand before Liu Shichao. Before he could react, Li Feng tapped a point on his body.
“What do you want?” Liu Shichao asked in terror, but he found he couldn’t speak, filling him with dread. How could a single tap silence him?
“Don’t worry, Master Liu, I’m just teaching you a lesson today.”
Li Feng patted him, and Liu Shichao felt as if a million ants were crawling and biting him, the pain so intense his face contorted.
“Liu Shichao, how’s it feel? Painful, right? You know, the worst pain isn’t death. It’s living worse than death. You wanted to harm me? Heh, taste this agony.”
Watching Liu Shichao writhe on the sofa, Li Feng’s lips curled into a cold smile. He had plenty of ways to torment, and this was the simplest, yet more than enough for a spoiled brat like Liu Shichao.
“Master Liu, want me to let you go?” Li Feng asked.
Liu Shichao nodded desperately.
“I can let you go, but you’ll cooperate with me from now on. Otherwise, hmph, you’ll feel this pain for forty-nine days.”
Releasing the pressure point, Li Feng said, “You can talk now, but if you dare call for help, heh…”
“No, no, Young Master Feng, I wouldn’t dare…” Liu Shichao was terrified, having seen Li Feng’s methods. He had no thoughts of resistance.
“Good. Now tell me, besides you three, who else wants to harm me?” Li Feng asked.
“I only know about Brother Peng. Li Quan handled the others, I don’t know,” Liu Shichao answered quickly.
“Brother Peng from Emperor Pavilion?” Li Feng frowned.
“Yes, yes.”
“You don’t know anyone else? Don’t lie, you know the cost,” Li Feng said coldly.
“No, I’m not lying, Young Master Feng.”
Li Feng nodded. Liu Shichao, a weak-willed rich kid, was easy to read. He wasn’t lying. It seemed he only knew about Brother Peng, nothing about the others.
Li Feng was slightly disappointed. He’d hoped to get more from this coward, but it seemed Liu Shichao was just a pawn, less useful than Li Quan. Still, it wasn’t a total loss. Controlling someone like Liu Shichao was easy.
With a flick of his finger, Li Feng shot a pill into Liu Shichao’s mouth.
“What, what did you give me?” Liu Shichao looked at Li Feng in horror, knowing it wasn’t candy.
“Five Poison Pill,” Li Feng said calmly. “It’s my special poison. It triggers once a month, and without my antidote, your insides will rot, and you’ll die.”
Liu Shichao’s face paled. He’d been planning revenge, but now, with this pill, his life was in Li Feng’s hands.
“Master Liu, obey me, and I won’t kill you. Who knows, I might even help you become the Liu family head. I hear, though you’re the eldest, your father favors your younger brother. The family head position might go to him, but with my support, you could take it,” Li Feng said, patting Liu Shichao’s shoulder.
Liu Shichao’s heart stirred. Not only was his life in Li Feng’s hands, but the offer was irresistible. Becoming the Liu family head was his dream.
He’d worked with Li Quan and Brother Peng to target Li Feng because they promised to make him the family head. Otherwise, as the unfavored eldest son of the Tianhai Liu family, how could he dare go against Li Feng from Yanjing?
Li Quan and Brother Peng said Li Feng was a useless fool, easy to handle, and he believed them. But now? Li Feng wasn’t just competent; he had uncanny skills. Laughably, Li Quan and the others were still smug about their scheme.
From what just happened, Liu Shichao knew Li Quan and Brother Peng would likely fall to Li Feng, maybe without even knowing how they died.
As for their promise to make him family head? Hmph, could they even save themselves?
But Li Feng was different. With his mysterious skills and status as a direct descendant of the Yanjing Li family, he was formidable.
Liu Shichao didn’t want to die, and he had no choice.
“Young Master Feng, I’ll follow your orders,” Liu Shichao pledged without hesitation.
“Good. Whatever Li Quan and the others tell you to do, do it,” Li Feng said.
“Young Master Feng, I wouldn’t dare,” Liu Shichao said, thinking Li Feng was testing him.
“Do as they say. Why so much talk? You think their plot will succeed?” Li Feng snorted. “But whatever they ask, you report to me first.”
Liu Shichao jumped, quickly saying, “Yes, yes.”
Li Feng tossed him a pill. “This is this month’s antidote. Li Quan’s coming back. Don’t let him notice anything.”
“Yes, yes,” Liu Shichao swallowed the antidote.
Just then, the door opened, and Li Quan walked in. Seeing him, Liu Shichao was in awe of Li Feng. Without uncanny skills, how could Li Feng know Li Quan was coming?
“Young Master Feng, how’s your chat with Master Liu?” Li Quan asked, all smiles.
“Great chat. I’m impressed by Master Liu’s money-making skills. I’m sure he’ll turn my billion into ten billion in a year. Haha, Li Quan, I owe you one. Without you, I wouldn’t know about Tiantian Loans, Manager Wang, or how valuable my Xiangfeng shares are,” Li Feng said, beaming and looking at Li Quan with admiration.
Li Quan quickly said, “Young Master Feng, it’s my duty. Oh, Manager Wang said to contact him anytime you need money.”
Liu Shichao, watching Li Quan, sneered inwardly. Li Quan was probably thrilled, thinking his scheme worked. Hmph, treating Young Master Feng like a fool, trying to harm him, not knowing the meaning of death.
Not to mention, he nearly got Liu Shichao killed too. Hmph, that score needed settling.
Each of the three had their own schemes. The difference was, before, Li Quan and Liu Shichao were plotting against Li Feng. Now, Li Feng and Liu Shichao were plotting against Li Quan.
