Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 375

“It’s you lot?”

Li Feng’s expression turned cold the moment he saw who was blocking the way. It was none other than the tiger-headed youth and his group.

“I finally found you.” The tiger-headed youth stared at Li Feng with icy eyes. He had searched for ages, thinking Li Feng had already left the underground city. If that had happened, revenge would have been impossible.

Fortunately, his efforts had paid off.

“What, have you come to gift me more treasures?” Li Feng looked at him and gave a frosty smile.

“You…” The tiger-headed youth flew into a rage, itching to tear Li Feng into pieces.

“Surely that’s it?” Li Feng said disdainfully. “Get out of my way. I have no time to chat with you.”

The tiger-headed youth took a deep breath. “I want another wager with you.”

“Another wager?” Li Feng laughed with contempt. “Do you actually have anything left worth betting? If not, stop wasting my time.”

“You…”

“You, you, you. I’m not interested in your proposal in the slightest.” Li Feng sneered. A wager? He would consider it only if the youth offered something good.

“I have a profound-tier martial skill…” the tiger-headed youth said gravely.

“Profound-tier martial skill? Not interested.” Li Feng shook his head. He already possessed several profound-tier skills, enough to study for a long while. Besides, before reaching the innate realm, cultivating profound-tier skills was extremely difficult. To him, betting for one was less valuable than going home to train.

“What did you say?” The tiger-headed youth was stunned. He had never imagined Li Feng would turn down a profound-tier skill. This was completely outside his expectations.

“Did I stutter? If you want to wager, bring out something else. I’m not short of profound-tier skills.” Li Feng looked at him coldly.

“I’ll bet this against your Foundation Establishment Pills, Heavenly Origin Spirit Fruit, and Wind-Thunder Array Talisman.” The tiger-headed youth produced a fist-sized stone.

Li Feng curled his lip in disdain. “A rock? You think a rock is worth all my treasures? Are you stupid, or do you think I am?”

“A rock?” The tiger-headed youth burst out laughing. “You call what I’m holding a rock? What a country bumpkin. No wonder you’ve never seen one.”

“It’s a spirit stone!” Ge Feng and Ge Ying cried out in unison beside Li Feng.

A spirit stone?

Li Feng froze, his pupils contracting. He truly had not expected the lump in the tiger-headed youth’s hand to be a spirit stone.

How could spirit stones still exist in this era?

But he trusted the Ge siblings would not lie. If they said it was a spirit stone, it almost certainly was. All the same, he quietly released a thread of divine sense. Sure enough, he sensed the vast spiritual energy contained within the stone.

“At last, someone with a bit of vision,” the tiger-headed youth said, glancing at the Ge siblings in surprise. Earlier Li Feng had only two companions; now there were two more. Friends of his, perhaps?

He quickly returned his attention to Li Feng. “Kid, I bet you’ve never seen a spirit stone in your life. This one piece is easily worth your Foundation Establishment Pills, Heavenly Origin Spirit Fruit, and Wind-Thunder Array Talisman combined. So, shall we wager?”

“Not really.” Li Feng gave a cold laugh. “You say it’s worth that much, and I’m supposed to believe you? You want to trade all those treasures for one spirit stone? Do you take me for an idiot?”

“What did you say?” The tiger-headed youth stared at him in disbelief. In the current age, a spirit stone was priceless. He had been certain Li Feng would accept the moment he showed it.

“You can wager, but one spirit stone isn’t enough.” A glint flashed in Li Feng’s eyes. Wagering was something he loved. He had already won a fortune doing it. Now that the tiger-headed youth was offering another round, he was more than willing, but he would not agree too quickly.

Especially after seeing the spirit stone, he had almost accepted on the spot. He held back, however, because he suspected the youth might have even better items. This was a perfect chance to fleece him thoroughly.

“Fine. I’ll throw this in too.” Gritting his teeth, the tiger-headed youth produced a pitch-black dagger.

Li Feng’s pupils shrank, excitement flickering in his eyes. He favoured daggers himself, but modern materials were limited. The one he currently used only had a little diamond mixed in. It was fine against ordinary opponents, but as his strength grew, it could no longer withstand his true qi.

The instant this black dagger appeared, Li Feng knew it was extraordinary.

“This is a first-grade spiritual weapon. Surely even you know what that is?” the tiger-headed youth said with a cold smirk.

Spiritual weapons were a category above mortal weapons. Mortal weapons, no matter how sharp, had limits to the true qi they could channel. Innate-realm experts, with their vast true qi, would shatter even diamond-forged blades.

Spiritual weapons, forged from special materials, could withstand innate-level true qi. They were graded one to nine, with first-grade being the lowest. Yet even a first-grade spiritual weapon was a treasure one might never encounter.

During this trip to the underground city, Li Feng had seen Heavenly Origin Spirit Fruits, Wind-Thunder Array Talismans, thousand-year ice dew, the Divine Control Art, and now a spirit stone. He had never expected to see a spiritual weapon as well.

“Fine. I accept your wager.” A sharp glint shone in Li Feng’s eyes. Both the spirit stone and the first-grade spiritual weapon were things he absolutely had to have.

“Let’s go to the arena right now.” A vicious gleam flashed in the tiger-headed youth’s eyes. He was not simply trying to win back what he had lost. He wanted Li Feng dead.

“I hope you don’t regret it,” Li Feng said with a cold laugh.

“Hmph. You’re the one who’ll regret it,” the tiger-headed youth replied, malice in his gaze.

The group reached the arena. After registering their stakes, the tiger-headed youth looked coldly at Li Feng. “Kid, are you fighting personally this time?”

“Of course. Unlike certain cowards who don’t even dare step into the ring themselves.” Li Feng sneered. He actually hoped the youth would fight personally. That way he could kill him and eliminate the problem once and for all.

“Hmph. I don’t need to dirty my own hands to deal with you.” The tiger-headed youth gave a cold snort.

“Scared, are we?” Li Feng laughed mockingly, then swept his gaze over the people behind the youth. “So which one of you is coming up to die this time?”

“The one dying will be you.”

A cold snort sounded. A towering figure stepped forward from behind the tiger-headed youth. He wore brown robes, his eyes were fierce, and a brutal aura rolled off him.

Li Feng’s pupils narrowed, then he laughed coldly. “So it’s you looking for death. You’ll end up just like that leopard-masked fellow, dead on the stage.”

The man wore a Grim Reaper mask. He stared at Li Feng, licked his lips, and his eyes gleamed with killing intent. “I hope your strength matches that mouth of yours.”

“You’ll find out soon enough,” Li Feng replied, a cold light flashing in his eyes.

“Kid, stop wasting time. Get on the stage,” the tiger-headed youth said impatiently.

“What’s the rush?” Li Feng shot him a cold glance, then turned to Zhong Shuhui and the others. “Any way you three can scrape together some money quickly? This is a perfect chance to make a fortune.”

Zhong Shuhui shook her head. She had not brought much to begin with, and after shopping in the Ghost Market she had only a few hundred thousand left.

Ge Feng and Ge Ying also shook their heads. They had spent heavily at the auction, lent Li Feng a billion (of which he had used about seven hundred million), and spent the rest in the Ghost Market.

Li Feng frowned. The Ghost Market was open, but the arena was still packed. His wager with the tiger-headed youth would definitely open betting. This was a golden opportunity to earn money, but without capital he could not place a bet.

“I have an idea,” Ge Ying said suddenly, looking up at Li Feng.

“What?” Li Feng asked quickly.

“Your golden invitation. Only diamond-level VIPs of the Ancient Martial Arts Association possess it. I’ve heard diamond VIPs can overdraw credit from the association. I don’t know if it’s true, but we could try. Take the invitation and see if they’ll let you borrow against it.” Ge Ying suggested after a moment’s thought.

Li Feng’s eyes lit up. He immediately headed toward the betting counter. The arena was run by the association; there would be someone in charge.

“Kid, not running away, are you?” The tiger-headed youth blocked his path with a sneer.

“Idiot,” Li Feng said coldly, giving him a sidelong glance.

“What did you say?” The tiger-headed youth exploded with anger.

“This young master is only going to place a bet. You’re handing me such a perfect chance to make money. Why would I run?” Li Feng laughed coldly, ignored him, walked to the counter, produced the golden invitation, and said to the old man behind it, “I want to overdraw funds for a bet. How much can I borrow?”

“Hahaha, moron! That’s an invitation, not a credit card!” The tiger-headed youth burst into laughter when he saw Li Feng trying to borrow against the invitation.

Li Feng gave him an icy glance, then fixed his eyes on the old man.

The old man looked at the invitation. A glint flashed in his eyes. “Maximum overdraft one hundred billion. Daily interest three percent.”

“Deal. I’m putting everything on myself to win.” Three percent daily interest was worse than loan sharks, but Li Feng did not hesitate. To him this was a guaranteed profit. Even ten percent would have been fine. If he lost, he would be dead anyway, and a hundred billion debt would be the least of his worries.

With that, Li Feng turned back to the dumbfounded tiger-headed youth and gave a cold smile. “Now we can begin.”
