Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 379

“At last, we’re out.”

Having left the underground city, Li Feng let out a long breath. The rewards there had been immense, but the atmosphere was far too oppressive.

“Yes, finally out.” The only one who said this was Ge Ying, though from her expression she would happily have stayed much longer.

“Zhong Shuhui, take those two and leave first,” Li Feng said with a cold laugh after sensing several auras locking onto him.

Zhong Shuhui nodded.

“You two follow her. I’ll deal with a few tails first,” Li Feng told the Ge siblings.

“Be careful,” Ge Ying said quickly.

“Don’t worry. No one could harm me inside, and no one will harm me outside either,” Li Feng smiled, then strode towards the abandoned factory’s exit.

He was not worried about Zhong Shuhui and the others. All the valuable items were on him, so most pursuers would not bother following them. Even if a few did, he had already made arrangements outside; shaking them off would be easy.

Moreover, once he left alone, the majority of trackers would naturally follow him.

After Li Feng departed, Zhong Shuhui led the Ge siblings away.

Whoosh!

Moments after they left, a figure appeared where they had parted.

“Heh heh, I didn’t expect you to split up. This couldn’t be better. Kid, your death is coming soon.”

The figure stared in the direction Li Feng had taken, cold killing intent flashing in his eyes. With a cold laugh, his body turned into a streak of light and silently shot forward.

Under the pitch-black night sky, a waning moon hung high, surrounded by scattered stars.

After leaving the abandoned factory, Li Feng sped towards the seaside. Fortunately, it was almost dawn and the roads were empty; otherwise people might have mistaken him for a ghost.

Suddenly, Li Feng stopped. Cold killing intent glinted in his eyes.

“As expected, some fools who don’t know when to quit,” he laughed coldly and continued walking. If someone wanted trouble, he didn’t mind sending them to the afterlife.

“Who exactly is it?”

While walking, Li Feng released his divine sense, scanning in all directions, but the earlier feeling of danger had vanished completely, as if it had never existed.

“Was my feeling wrong?”

Li Feng frowned, puzzled.

After he left, a figure emerged from a dark corner.

“This kid is so vigilant. I almost got discovered. Damn it,” the figure muttered, glaring at the quiet road.

He had thought tailing Li Feng would be easy, but reality proved far different. The boy’s perception was terrifyingly sharp. If he had not kept his distance, he might have been exposed.

Being forced into such a sorry state while stalking someone left him deeply frustrated.

“Kid, just wait. I’ll send you to the afterlife soon,” he gritted his teeth, killing intent flashing again before he melted back into the darkness.

At the seaside.

Li Feng sat cross-legged in a small grove, eyes gleaming as he considered his options.

He knew he had drawn too much attention in the underground city. Many people now coveted what he had. Inside the city, under the Ancient Martial Artists Association’s domain, they dared not act, but outside was different.

The earlier sense of danger was proof enough.

“Right now I don’t know how many are following me. I’ll have to wait and see,” Li Feng decided, a little glad he had separated from the others. Now he could fight without restraint.

About half an hour later, Li Feng stood up and fixed his sharp gaze on a thicket behind him.

“No need to keep hiding. Come out,” he said icily.

Inside the thicket, the hidden figure’s expression changed upon hearing him.

“Did this kid really spot me?”

His eyelids twitched. He almost bolted out.

“No, the distance is so great. There’s no way he noticed me. Right, he’s just trying to provoke me into revealing myself.”

The moment the thought of being discovered surfaced, he dismissed it. His stealth and concealment skills were top-class; there was no way he had been found.

“Hmph, kid, you’re too green to play mind games with me,” he thought, squinting at Li Feng with a cold inner laugh, perfectly blending his aura with the surroundings.

“Hmph, if you won’t show yourself, then don’t blame me for being rude,” Li Feng said after waiting three minutes with no response. He laughed coldly, flicked his finger, and a large sabre appeared in his hand.

“If you won’t come out, let me help you,” he added with another cold laugh, then slashed fiercely. A brilliant blade glow surged forth, ruthlessly chopping towards the thicket.

Not good!

The hidden figure’s face blanched in shock. Without another thought, he frantically circulated his true qi and shot out like an afterimage, instantly appearing ten metres away.

Boom!

A massive explosion shook the ground. The huge blade glow carved a shocking scar where the man had been hiding.

Seeing this, the figure’s expression turned ugly.

Run!

Without hesitation, he pushed his speed to the limit and turned to flee.

“Leaving now? Too late,” Li Feng’s voice seemed to come from all directions. The man’s face changed drastically. Looking up, he saw two identical Li Fengs, one in front and one behind, both feeling completely real.

“How is this possible?”

Seeing two Li Fengs, panic seized him. Only by pushing his movement technique to its peak could he escape.

He was extremely confident in his footwork, believing few in the world could match it.

But before he could fully execute it, Li Feng appeared in front of him, staring coldly.

“What do you want?” the man asked anxiously, trying to sound calm, though a bead of cold sweat rolled down his forehead.

“I think that’s the question I should ask you,” Li Feng replied, casually stroking his sabre while looking indifferently at the middle-aged man. “You followed me all the way from the underground city. What’s your purpose?”

The middle-aged man’s expression shifted. He had not expected Li Feng to know of his presence from the very beginning.

Taking a deep breath and forcing a smile, he said, “What are you talking about? I don’t understand. I was just passing by.”

“Passing by?” A faint smile appeared on Li Feng’s face.

The man relaxed slightly.

Just when he thought he could bluff his way out, Li Feng suddenly said coldly, “Then you can die.”

As the words left his mouth, icy killing intent exploded from his eyes. The sabre swung fiercely, slashing through the air towards the man standing more than ten paces away.

“Damn it!”

The man’s face paled. He had not expected Li Feng to turn hostile so abruptly. With no time to prepare, he desperately circulated his true qi. His palms glowed white as he thrust them forward.

In an instant, the air distorted. Two millstone-sized white palm imprints burst from his hands, carrying scorching heat that ignited sparks in the dry grass around them.

Boom!

The blade glow collided with the white palm imprints, producing a heaven-shaking explosion. Violent qi blasted outwards, stripping a layer of earth from the ground.

Pfft!

The middle-aged man grunted as the shockwave struck him, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Li Feng’s blade glow had been far more powerful than he anticipated.

Li Feng did not press the attack. He simply stared coldly and asked, “Who are you?”

The man gave a cold snort. “You’re not worthy to know.”

“Then why were you following me?” Li Feng continued icily.

Suppressing the surging blood in his chest, the man looked at Li Feng and curled his lips into a vicious grin. “What do you think?”

“So you’re after my wealth. But do you have the strength for it?” Li Feng laughed coldly. He did possess many treasures, but they were not things just anyone could take.

“Without strength, the only path is death,” he added, cold killing intent flashing in his eyes.

“Arrogant!”

Anger flashed across the man’s face. With a scornful snort, a clang rang out as a curved blade appeared in his hand.

“Kid, I was careless earlier and let you gain the upper hand. Did you really think you could kill me? If you want me dead, I’ll kill you first. Everything you gained in the underground city will be mine.”

With the curved blade in hand, the man’s entire aura changed, becoming sharp and confident. He thought to himself that his blade arts were already perfected; he might not lose. Even if he could not win, escaping with his movement technique should be no problem.

This middle-aged man knew Li Feng had obtained many treasures in the underground city, but he was unaware that Li Feng had slain a peak eighth-layer expert there. Otherwise, he would not be so confident now.

With that thought, killing intent grew thicker in his eyes. True qi surged through his body, and dazzling light burst from his curved blade.

“Is that so? Then let me see what strength you have,” Li Feng said with a cold laugh, facing the man with complete calm.

A mere sixth-layer Acquired Realm martial artist thought he could kill him? Utterly delusional.

“You’ll regret this soon.”

Provoked by Li Feng’s calm words, the man’s true qi erupted. He roared, “Die!”

“Heaven-Severing Slash!”

Buzz!

The blade glow from his curved blade surged, transforming into a long ribbon of light that slashed horizontally through the air.

Li Feng stood motionless, expression serene. To the man, it looked as though Li Feng had been stunned by the incoming attack.

Seeing this, a ferocious grin spread across the man’s face. His blade art was terrifyingly powerful; he had killed countless people with this very strike. Clearly, Li Feng had been overwhelmed by its domineering might.

But at that instant, sharp light exploded from Li Feng’s eyes like twin swords piercing straight into the soul.

“Die.”

The next moment, a brilliant blade glow appeared in mid-air and crashed ferociously onto the man’s attack. His blade glow shattered instantly, while Li Feng’s continued unabated, slashing straight towards the middle-aged man.
