Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 384

“Peak, Peak, save me, quick!”

The moment Li Feng answered the phone, Song Zhiyuan’s panicked voice burst through.

Li Feng was stunned. What was Song Zhiyuan playing at? Why was he suddenly crying for help? Wasn’t he supposed to be on his way to Tianya Pavilion? What was the meaning of this call?

Just as Li Feng was about to speak, a sinister voice came from the phone. “You’re Li Feng?”

“Who are you?” Li Feng froze. The voice sounded vaguely familiar, but he couldn’t place it.

“You don’t need to know who I am. If you want your friend to live, come alone to Huangfeng Forest in the suburbs.” The line went dead.

“What the hell is going on? What game is Song Zhiyuan playing?” Li Feng’s face turned ice-cold. He hated people joking about things like this. Even if Song Zhiyuan was his ally, this was unacceptable. He was certain it was nothing more than a stupid prank.

He tossed the phone aside and asked Zhong Shuhui, “What are the four great families up to now?”

“The four great families have gathered a group of experts. Their intentions are unclear,” Zhong Shuhui replied.

“Unclear?” Li Feng gave a cold laugh. “No need to guess. They’re obviously preparing to deal with me. That’s only to be expected. Last time I made all four families lose face completely. I just hope they don’t actually make a move against me. Otherwise…”

A murderous glint flashed in his eyes.

Now that he had reached the seventh level of Qi Refining, possessing combat strength equivalent to the ninth level of the Acquired realm, he no longer feared even peak ninth-level Acquired experts. If the four families really wanted to fight, he wouldn’t mind teaching them an unforgettable lesson.

“Zhong Shuhui, keep a close watch on the four families. The moment they make any move, inform me at once. I’m going to give them a harsh lesson,” Li Feng said gravely. If he didn’t have to consider the powers behind the four families, he would wipe them out right now.

Zhong Shuhui nodded, then added, “Young Master, I have people watching the four families, so I’m not worried about them. What worries me is that your identity from the underground city might have been exposed.”

“I was extremely careful when I left the underground city. The chances of exposure should be very small,” Li Feng said after a moment’s thought.

“I don’t know whether others discovered Young Master’s identity, but we absolutely cannot ignore the Bloodkill Twin Eagles,” Zhong Shuhui said, her face solemn.

“Bloodkill Twin Eagles? Zhong Shuhui, who exactly are they? Yesterday in the underground city, both you and the Ge siblings changed expression the moment you heard their name,” Li Feng asked curiously.

“Young Master, the Bloodkill Twin Eagles are two infamous robbers. They specialise in a thousand-mile tracking technique. No matter where you flee, even to the ends of the earth, they can find you,” Zhong Shuhui explained, looking at Li Feng. “There’s a saying: better to provoke the King of Hell than the Bloodkill. ‘Bloodkill’ refers to the Bloodkill Twin Eagles. Although their individual strength is only around the seventh level of the Acquired realm, they possess a joint-attack technique. Even ninth-level Acquired experts are not necessarily their match.”

“The middle-aged man who appeared before you in the underground city was one of the Twin Eagles. He deliberately got close to capture your aura. Right now they are probably searching for you. If they find you, it will be extremely troublesome.”

Bloodkill Twin Eagles… Bloodkill Twin Eagles…

Li Feng’s expression suddenly changed. He recalled the sinister voice on Song Zhiyuan’s phone, then looked up at Zhong Shuhui with a wry smile. “I’m afraid they’ve already found me. Song Zhiyuan has probably fallen into their hands.”

“What?” Zhong Shuhui’s face paled.

“I’m heading to Huangfeng Forest immediately,” Li Feng said, standing up with a grim voice.

“Young Master, this is far too dangerous!” Zhong Shuhui hurriedly tried to stop him. Even though Li Feng had broken through, she did not believe he was a match for the Bloodkill Twin Eagles. Countless people had died to their joint-attack technique.

“If I can’t deal with the Bloodkill Twin Eagles, that will be even more dangerous,” Li Feng said heavily.

Zhong Shuhui’s expression shifted. He was right. If the Twin Eagles revealed Li Feng’s actions in the underground city, the consequences would be unimaginable. Countless people would want him dead.

“But Young Master…” Zhong Shuhui was still worried. The Bloodkill Twin Eagles were no ordinary foes.

“This time I have no choice but to go,” Li Feng said, a sharp glint in his eyes.

“Young Master, what worries me is Song Zhiyuan. If he learns your identity from the Twin Eagles…” Zhong Shuhui looked at Li Feng gravely.

“Then he can only die.” A murderous light exploded in Li Feng’s eyes. His identity must never be revealed. Song Zhiyuan was merely a friend. He couldn’t guarantee Song would keep the secret. The only solution was to silence him.

Huangfeng Forest.

“Who are you people? Why did you kidnap me?”

Song Zhiyuan glared furiously at the two middle-aged men before him. He never imagined that on his way to Tianya Pavilion to meet Li Feng, he would be abducted right at the entrance.

“You don’t need to know who we are. Just shut up and behave,” the one who had captured him said coldly. It was, of course, the Bloodkill Twin Eagles. The fat one was called Blood Eagle, the thin one Killing Eagle. Together they were the Bloodkill Twin Eagles. Hearing Song Zhiyuan’s question, Blood Eagle spoke icily.

“Do you have any idea who I am?” Song Zhiyuan’s face darkened with rage.

“We don’t need to know who you are. But if you keep talking, don’t blame me for being rude,” Blood Eagle said, his gaze frigid.

“You…” Song Zhiyuan burned with fury. He was the second young master of the Song family. When had anyone ever threatened him like this?

“Hmph. Let me tell you, the moment you dared to kidnap me, you were dead men,” Song Zhiyuan said, staring coldly at Blood Eagle.

Smack!

Blood Eagle sneered and slapped him without hesitation.

“You… you actually dared to hit me?” Song Zhiyuan was incredulous. He was the second young master of the Song family. No one had ever slapped him!

“Hit you? Believe me, I’ll kill you if I feel like it,” Blood Eagle said, his eyes radiating killing intent.

Feeling the icy murderous aura, Song Zhiyuan paled. Fear flashed in his eyes. He felt that if he said one more word, he would certainly die.

At the same time, a trace of doubt rose in his heart. Why had the Bloodkill Twin Eagles kidnapped him? Why had they forced him to call Li Feng and lure him here? Were they planning to use him against Li Feng?

Remembering what Blood Eagle had said on the phone, he realised it was highly likely. The thought filled him with unparalleled anger. Did they really think he was some disposable pawn they could manipulate at will?

Song Zhiyuan now regretted not bringing Uncle Ning. But regret was useless now.

“It’s been half an hour. Do you think Li Feng will come?” Blood Eagle asked impatiently.

“Unless this person means nothing to him, he will definitely come,” Killing Eagle said, glancing at Song Zhiyuan with a cold laugh. “We’ll wait another half hour. If Li Feng still doesn’t show, we kill this kid and move on to the next target.”

Song Zhiyuan’s face drained of colour. He had never imagined the Bloodkill Twin Eagles would treat his life so lightly, deciding his fate as casually as flipping a hand.

“Who exactly are you?” Song Zhiyuan asked in a low voice.

“Bloodkill Twin Eagles,” Blood Eagle replied, giving him a cold glance.

“The Bloodkill Twin Eagles? You’re actually the Bloodkill Twin Eagles?” Song Zhiyuan’s expression changed drastically. Only now did he understand why they cared nothing for his life. In their eyes his status was worthless. Moreover, they didn’t even know who he was.

“Kid, do you think your Li Feng will come here to save you?” Blood Eagle asked icily.

“He will. He definitely will,” Song Zhiyuan nodded without hesitation. If he said no, the Twin Eagles would never let him live. Hadn’t they just said that if Li Feng didn’t appear, they would kill him?

He wasn’t about to gamble with his own life. Even though deep down he felt uneasy about whether Li Feng would actually come, in front of the Twin Eagles he dared not deny it.

“You’re sure?” Killing Eagle asked coldly.

“Of course he’s sure,” a frosty voice suddenly rang out.

“Who’s there?”

The Bloodkill Twin Eagles shouted in unison and spun round, and saw a young man standing not far away.

“Didn’t you want me to come? What, don’t recognise me now?” Li Feng said with a cold laugh. He had actually been there for some time and had heard a good deal of the conversation. Since Song Zhiyuan still didn’t know why the Twin Eagles were after him, Li Feng felt a wave of relief. At least he wouldn’t need to silence Song Zhiyuan.

“You’re Li Feng?” Blood Eagle’s gaze locked onto him. A strange aura flickered briefly around Li Feng. After a moment, Blood Eagle sneered. “Yes, it’s you.”

“I didn’t expect your name to be Li Feng,” Killing Eagle said with a cold laugh. “You know why we’re here. Hand it over obediently, or today you die without a burial place.”

“You want me to die without a burial place? That depends on whether you’re capable. Bloodkill Twin Eagles, we originally had no quarrel, but you just had to provoke me. Today I’ll let you know the price of offending me, Li Feng.” As he spoke, Li Feng’s aura rose steadily until it stopped at the early stage of Acquired level eight.

“Early Acquired level eight?”

Sensing the aura, the Bloodkill Twin Eagles laughed coldly. With a whoosh they leapt into the air, drew their swords, and stabbed straight at Li Feng from above.

“So what if you’re early Acquired level eight? Li Feng, you’re dead today!”
