Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 446

Da da da…

The burly man strode forward like a tiger, radiating menace. He marched straight up to Li Feng and swung a heavy slap towards his face.

“Get lost.”

Li Feng had been teaching Mu Xiuzhen a body-tempering technique while taking a few liberties. He never expected someone to interrupt. Anger flared inside him. Without thinking, he threw a punch.

Bang!

His fist met the man’s palm dead centre. The burly fellow felt an immense force surge through him. He grunted, then flew backwards through the air.

Bang!

He crashed onto the floor with a dull thud. Yet the man was tough. Despite the heavy landing, he rolled like a donkey, sprang back to his feet, and stared at Li Feng in disbelief.

“Lei Dong, what do you think you’re doing?” Mu Xiuzhen looked coldly at the burly man, clearly displeased.

“Mu Xiuzhen, you’re asking me what I’m doing?” Lei Dong glared, pointing at Li Feng. “I should be asking you what you’re doing with him. Don’t you realise he’s taking advantage of you?”

Li Feng had been annoyed that Lei Dong had barged in and was ready to teach him a lesson. Only after hearing their exchange did he understand. So this Lei Dong was one of Mu Xiuzhen’s admirers, and they had run into him here by sheer coincidence.

“Does it concern you?” Mu Xiuzhen replied icily.

“How is it not my concern? I won’t allow any other man to touch you.” This fitness club was a place Lei Dong often visited to train. He had no missions today, so he had arranged to meet a few friends here. He had barely arrived when he saw Li Feng’s hands all over Mu Xiuzhen. Rage instantly consumed him.

Back at police academy, he had fallen for Mu Xiuzhen. For years he had pursued her. Although she had always ignored him, Lei Dong believed he would eventually win her heart.

He never imagined he would see her with another man in this gym. He could not tolerate it. Without hesitation he charged over, intending to slap Li Feng flying and teach him that Lei Dong’s woman was untouchable.

In Lei Dong’s mind, one slap would send Li Feng sprawling. Reality, however, turned out very differently. Not only did Li Feng remain standing, Lei Dong himself was casually knocked flying by a single punch.

The result was unbearable. Burning fury ignited in his chest.

Then he heard Mu Xiuzhen’s words. The flames of his anger reached their peak.

“Kid, you’ve got guts. Fight me one-on-one,” Lei Dong snarled at Li Feng. Although he had just been sent flying, he told himself he simply hadn’t used his full strength.

“You?” A trace of disdain flickered across Li Feng’s lips.

“You look down on me?” Seeing that sneer, Lei Dong flew into a greater rage. At police academy and in the armed police unit, everyone knew how formidable Lei Dong was. Now a pretty boy dared to belittle him.

“Yes, I do. So what?” Li Feng gave a cold laugh.

“You… good, good, good. Fine, kid, we’ll fight one-on-one.” Lei Dong gnashed his teeth, glaring at Li Feng.

“Lei Dong, stop making a fool of yourself. You’re no match for Li Feng,” Mu Xiuzhen couldn’t help saying. Li Feng was a super-strong martial artist. Lei Dong was decent, but he was nowhere near Li Feng’s level.

“What? I’m making a fool of myself?” Lei Dong’s face turned livid. Being looked down on by Li Feng was already more than he could stomach. Now even Mu Xiuzhen was looking down on him. How could he accept that?

“I’ll show you whether I’m making a fool of myself.” Fury blazed in Lei Dong as he pointed at Li Feng. “Kid, I’ll let you see what real strength looks like.”

With that, he stamped hard on the floor and shot towards Li Feng like an arrow, throwing a powerful punch.

The wind from his palm howled, the air cracked and boomed. Even before the fist arrived, ferocious qi surged forward.

Li Feng gave a cold laugh and watched the oncoming Lei Dong. Originally he hadn’t planned to bother with him, but since Lei Dong refused to back off, he needed to be taught a memorable lesson.

Just as Lei Dong’s fist was about to connect, Li Feng lifted his foot.

Bang!

A light thud sounded. A figure flew backwards and slammed heavily into the ground. Lei Dong had been kicked flying by a single strike from Li Feng.

“This is impossible!” Lei Dong scrambled up, staring at Li Feng in disbelief. If he had thought the first time was an accident, now he truly felt Li Feng’s terrifying strength.

“Nothing is impossible. Lei Dong, I already told you, fighting Li Feng means courting humiliation,” Mu Xiuzhen said with a sigh. How could she not know Lei Dong’s feelings for her? She had simply never felt anything for him.

Lei Dong’s expression darkened. He hadn’t lasted a single move against Li Feng. How could he talk about teaching anyone a lesson? No wonder Mu Xiuzhen didn’t like him. It was probably because she thought he was too weak.

Li Feng glanced at Lei Dong, then turned to Mu Xiuzhen. “It’s getting late. I need to head back. Keep practising the technique I taught you. When you feel a warm current inside your body, come find me.” With that, he left the gym without waiting for her reply.

Mu Xiuzhen stared at his retreating back, stunned. Was Li Feng angry because of Lei Dong?

“Mu Xiuzhen, who is he?” At some point, Lei Dong had come to her side.

“He’s called Li Feng,” Mu Xiuzhen replied curtly, then walked away.

“Li Feng?” A glint flashed in Lei Dong’s eyes. His face turned sinister. “Li Feng, one day I will defeat you.”

Meanwhile, after leaving the gym, Li Feng headed towards the training base in the suburbs.

He thought nothing of Lei Dong’s interruption. Lei Dong was just an ordinary person, slightly stronger than most, nothing more. What surprised him was Mu Xiuzhen’s talent. The body-tempering technique he had taught her was the one used by the Black Eagle squad. Even Tian Lang, the strongest fighter in Black Eagle, had needed half a day to grasp the first stance. Yet Mu Xiuzhen had mastered seventy to eighty per cent after a single demonstration. With proper resources and training, someone like her could genuinely become a top expert.

If he weren’t currently facing retaliation from Chen Junyi of the Hongmen, he would seriously consider recruiting and training her. She might even become a valuable ally in future.

For now, however, it was only a thought.

“Big brother, are you Li Feng?”

Just then, a little boy blocked Li Feng’s path.

“Who are you?” Li Feng asked, startled by the child.

“Big brother, an uncle asked me to give you this.” The boy handed over an envelope.

“What is it?” Li Feng took the envelope, puzzled.

“I don’t know.” The boy ran off without waiting for a reply.

Li Feng paused, opened the envelope, and his expression instantly darkened.

In a presidential suite, a middle-aged man sat quietly in a chair. A short distance away, several black-clothed men stood coldly.

If Li Feng were here, he would recognise the middle-aged man as Boss Jiang, the biggest business partner of Fengyuan Group.

At that moment, a young man hurried in.

“Have you done what I asked?” Boss Jiang asked in a low voice.

“Boss, rest assured. I’ve already contacted some people as you instructed, though a few refused to join,” the youth replied.

“Hmph, short-sighted fools,” Boss Jiang snorted. It was within his expectations.

“Boss, my men at Fengyuan Group reported today that people from Xingxing Group visited,” the youth continued.

“Xingxing Group? Do we know why they went?” Boss Jiang’s expression shifted slightly. He knew Xingxing Group very well. If they got involved, seizing Fengyuan Group would become much harder.

“I heard they wanted to acquire Fengyuan Group,” the youth answered.

“Acquire it?” A cold light flashed in Boss Jiang’s eyes.

“But Li Feng had them thrown out,” the youth added.

“Thrown out?” Boss Jiang was stunned. “You mean Li Feng had the Xingxing Group representatives physically ejected?”

“Yes. In the end, the police took them away. My informant holds a decent position at Fengyuan Group and saw it with his own eyes,” the youth confirmed.

“Good, good, good. I never expected Li Feng to be such an idiot, daring to offend Xingxing Group. Heaven is helping me,” Boss Jiang said, excitement gleaming in his eyes.

“Excellent. We can now proceed to the second phase. You lot, do this and this.” Boss Jiang gave instructions to the black-clothed men.

“Yes.” They acknowledged and left the room.

“Boss, can they really pull it off?” the youth asked doubtfully as he watched them leave. “This is a major matter for Young Master Wu. If they fail, the consequences will be dire.”

“Don’t worry, I have full confidence in them,” Boss Jiang replied firmly. “If Fengyuan Group hadn’t offended Xingxing Group, they might not succeed. But now, no one is more suitable.”

He took out his phone and made a call. “Young Master Wu, I’ve done as you instructed. What next?”

On the other end, Wu De replied, “I’ll leave the next steps to you.”

He hung up, then turned to a youth beside him. “Everything is arranged. Whether we can deal with Li Feng now depends on you.”

“Young Master Wu, I still think you’re making this too complicated. We could just kill Li Feng directly,” the youth said.

“Kill him?”

Wu De gave a cold laugh, his tone sinister. “Killing him outright would be letting him off too easily. I want him captured alive, then tormented slowly until he begs for death.”
