Clearly, it could only be Li Feng.
“Zhong Shuhui, do you think the young master will come?” Xu Jie did not know where Li Feng had gone. Earlier Zhong Shuhui had only said he was busy and might not answer his phone, so her tone carried uncertainty.
“If the young master finds out, he will definitely come,” Zhong Shuhui replied without hesitation. So many people were here, whether Hu Yuanyuan or the Black Eagle team, none of them were people Li Feng could abandon. The moment he learned they were under attack, he would rush here without a second thought.
Still, she could not be certain whether Li Feng had received the news yet. After all, he had gone to the Empire Hotel, and she had no idea when that matter would finish.
“Commander Zhong, when we set out, Su Kou had already got through to Young Master Feng on the phone,” one of the Hawk-Eye sharpshooters behind Zhong Shuhui said at that moment. “Young Master Feng said he would arrive in the shortest possible time.”
“What?” The faces of Zhong Shuhui and Xu Jie both changed. Whatever they feared most had come to pass.
Xu Jie especially paled. She did not know the extent of Li Feng’s strength. Even if he was as formidable as Zhong Shuhui claimed, he could hardly stand against so many black-clothed attackers. Far from saving them, Li Feng would be walking straight into a trap.
Zhong Shuhui’s expression changed for a different reason. She was shocked that Li Feng was arriving so quickly. Unlike Xu Jie, she knew his true power, and that was precisely why she was more worried. If Li Feng was the real target, the enemy could not possibly have prepared only these black-clothed men. There had to be a large number of hidden experts waiting. No matter how strong Li Feng was, two fists could not fight four hands.
At that moment, Zhong Shuhui became certain the enemy was indeed besieging the point to strike the reinforcements. From the very beginning, their true target had probably been Li Feng.
Who on earth had laid this trap? Fu Yanxiong? Qin Feng? Li Wu? Zhu Yuanyang?

Unlike any other organisation, Hongmen was a worldwide underground power. Apart from its own forces, countless large and small underground groups were affiliated with it. With a single order, Hongmen could assemble huge numbers of people in any major city on earth.
Tianhai City originally had three great underground powers: Blackstone Gang, Brotherhood, and Blade. Blackstone and Brotherhood had already been destroyed, leaving only Blade, which belonged to their own side and would never move against them. Yet one must not forget that besides those three, Tianhai City still harboured countless smaller underground groups. Individually they were nothing compared to the big three, but united, their strength was not to be underestimated.
As an international metropolis, Hongmen could not possibly have ignored Tianhai City. Apart from its own local branch, numerous subordinate groups existed here. Moreover, as a vital north-south hub in China, Hongmen would surely have hidden considerable forces in the city to control its nationwide operations.
Now Hongmen suspected Li Feng of killing Chen Haotian. Chen Junyi had already dispatched Blood Shadow to Tianhai City. The moment Blood Shadow arrived, his first move would surely have been to contact and consolidate these Hongmen forces.
From this, it was clear that Blood Shadow had united some of Tianhai City’s underground groups with Hongmen’s own power and set this grand trap.
Yet Zhong Shuhui still felt puzzled. Had Blood Shadow arranged all this simply to kill Li Feng? If the sole aim was Li Feng’s life, was such an elaborate scheme really necessary?
By chance her gaze fell on Hu Yuanyuan, who was bandaging the wounded inside the store. A horrifying thought flashed through Zhong Shuhui’s mind.
Blood Shadow did not merely want Li Feng dead. He wanted to wipe them all out in one net. They, trapped here, would only become Li Feng’s burden.
With that realisation, Zhong Shuhui said gravely to Xu Jie, “Xu Jie, we cannot sit here and wait for death.”
“You mean…” Xu Jie was taken aback.
“Break out at all costs,” Zhong Shuhui replied.
“Break out?” Xu Jie stared in shock. When the Hawk-Eye sharpshooters had first arrived, they had been unable to match the black-clothed men outside, which was why they had holed up in the store. Only minutes had passed, yet Zhong Shuhui had changed her mind.
“Yes, immediately. Xu Jie, there’s no time to explain. I’ll take the front, you guard the rear. Break out no matter what it takes,” Zhong Shuhui said solemnly.
“Understood.” Xu Jie knew her friend’s character well enough to trust that this decision had good reason. Without hesitation, she began organising everyone.
“Kill!”
Zhong Shuhui charged out of the convenience store first, four Black Eagle team members right behind her.
The black-clothed attackers had not expected such a sudden counter-attack and were caught completely off guard. Zhong Shuhui and her people seized the chance and fought their way out of the store.
“Damn it!” Han Yuxia, the woman in red, flew into a rage. Their sudden breakout had taken her by surprise. If Zhong Shuhui’s group escaped the store, using the bomb to kill them would become impossible.
At once she ordered coldly, “Sixth squad, seventh squad, all forces forward. Drive them back into the store.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Two black-clothed leaders behind her acknowledged the order and led over a dozen men each in a charge.
“When will the bomb arrive?” Han Yuxia asked.
“If nothing goes wrong, three more minutes,” one of her subordinates replied.
“Three minutes?” A glint flashed through Han Yuxia’s eyes as she watched the fighting at the store entrance. “Are you certain? I don’t want any surprises.”
“Absolutely.”
“What about the fifth squad? Still no word?” Han Yuxia suddenly remembered and asked coldly.
“No message yet. They probably haven’t finished. Shall we send someone to check?” the subordinate answered.
“No need. The security guards from Fengyuan Group are hardly anything special. If the fifth squad can’t even deal with them, they don’t deserve to exist,” Han Yuxia said icily.
Ding!
A soft tone sounded. The subordinate who had just spoken hurriedly activated his earpiece. After listening for a moment, his expression changed. He quickly reported to Han Yuxia, “Lord Blood Shadow says Li Feng has arrived.”
“Li Feng is here…” Han Yuxia’s face shifted.
At that instant, a furious roar rang out: “Every single one of you dies today!”
Han Yuxia whipped around and saw a figure shooting towards them like lightning.
“That’s Li Feng?” A chill gripped Han Yuxia’s heart. She ordered sharply, “Eighth squad, ninth squad, stop him!”
“Yes, ma’am.” Two leaders behind her immediately led their men charging towards Li Feng.
“Li Feng, perfect timing. Today you can watch Hu Yuanyuan and the rest die. Three minutes, just three minutes, and they’re all dead,” Han Yuxia declared, murderous intent blazing in her eyes.
“Courting death.”
Seeing twenty or thirty black-clothed men rushing at him, cold light flashed in Li Feng’s eyes. His figure leapt high, and dazzling blade radiance burst forth like the blazing sun.
Swish, swish, swish!
The blade lights streaked through the air like bolts of silk, weaving a vast silver net that descended upon the attackers. In an instant, thunderous explosions rang out, sparks flying everywhere.
Several men at the front were struck by the blade lights and let out agonised screams.
“Damn it!” The two squad leaders at the rear paled. Li Feng’s strength was far beyond what they could handle, but Han Yuxia’s orders left them no choice.
“Brothers, charge! There’s only one of him! Whoever kills him gets ten million!”
Under heavy reward there must be brave men. At their captains’ words, greed replaced fear in the attackers’ eyes. Howling wildly, they threw themselves at Li Feng.
Killing intent blazed in Li Feng’s eyes. His figure flashed into the crowd, and a massacre began.
“How can Li Feng be this strong?” Han Yuxia watched in disbelief as he tore through her men like a tiger among sheep. Shock filled her heart. She had known Li Feng was powerful, but not this powerful. At this rate, her two squads would be wiped out in under a minute.
What now?
Han Yuxia’s mind raced. She had no expert left who could match Li Feng. If Hu Yuanyuan’s group had not counter-attacked, she could have spared two squads to delay him, but now she had no reserves to send. Even if she went herself, she would be no match for him.
Bang!
At that moment, a muffled gunshot rang out. A bloody hole appeared in Han Yuxia’s forehead. Eyes wide with unwillingness, she collapsed heavily to the ground.
At the same time, on a balcony some distance away, Zhu Yuanyang said to Chang He, who was putting away his sniper rifle, “Chang He, your marksmanship just keeps getting better.”
“Miss, now that she’s dead, will Blood Shadow really make a move?” Chang He asked.
