“Young Master Wu, careful!”
Seeing Li Feng draw his pistols, an old man behind Wu De instantly shoved him aside.
At that exact moment.
Bang! Bang!
Two gunshots rang out. One bullet struck the old man, the other hit a burly man standing behind Wu De.
“Kill them all. Leave no one alive.”
Li Feng spat the words coldly. The pistols in his hands kept firing without pause.
Bang, bang, bang…
A hail of bullets shot towards Wu De. At the same time, the Blood Kill Twin Eagles heard the order and instantly joined the fray. Their long swords flashing as they charged into the crowd. The Twin Eagles were ferocious by nature; this kind of unrestrained slaughter was what they loved most. They had thought that after following Li Feng they would no longer enjoy such massacres, yet not long after joining him they were once again free to kill to their hearts’ content. Excitement surged through them; they fought at one hundred and twenty percent of their usual strength.
“Run!”
The old man who had been shot paled dramatically. Clutching Wu De, he retreated deeper inside and took cover behind a sofa.
Bang, bang, bang…
Gunfire continued without stop. Thanks to the old man’s protection, Wu De escaped harm, but the others were not so lucky. Under the combined assault of Li Feng and the Blood Kill Twin Eagles, blood flowed like rivers. In less than a minute, twenty burly men lay in pools of blood. The survivors scattered and hid far away.
“Damn it!”
Wu De’s face was livid behind the sofa. He had never imagined Li Feng would possess guns, nor that the two middle-aged men at his side would be this powerful. His own subordinates were simply no match for them.
“Young Master Wu, I will go kill Li Feng,” the old man said gravely. He had taken two bullets while shielding Wu De; blood poured from his wounds, and nothing remained in his heart but towering hatred for Li Feng.
“No,” Wu De thought for a moment and shook his head. “The two men beside Li Feng are too strong. With them there, no one can get close to him.”
“Then what do we do?” The old man’s pupils contracted. He had already noticed the strength of the Blood Kill Twin Eagles when they attacked; apart from himself, no one present could rival them.
“Old Mu, you hold off those two subordinates of Li Feng. Everyone else, kill Li Feng,” Wu De said ruthlessly. He turned to the youth beside him. “You are no match for those two. Li Feng himself is yours to kill. Any problem with that?”
“None,” the youth nodded, then added with slight worry, “Li Feng’s gun arts are formidable. I need an opening to get close enough to finish him.”
“I’ll use lives to create that opening. I refuse to believe he has unlimited ammunition,” Wu De replied, ruthlessness flashing in his eyes. After all his meticulous planning, he had never expected Li Feng to possess such terrifying gun arts. In that single exchange just now, more than a dozen of his men had died by Li Feng’s hand alone.
What Wu De could not understand was how Li Feng had mastered such advanced gun arts. Gun arts were not something one gained simply by holding a pistol. The very foundation of gun arts required one to be a divine marksman first. Only then could one begin cultivating true gun arts.
According to the intelligence he had gathered earlier, Li Feng had barely spent any time in the military. How could he possibly have cultivated gun arts? Could they be innate? Impossible. Wu De had never heard of anyone being born with such a gift.
Yet the stronger Li Feng proved to be, the more determined Wu De was to kill him tonight. If he missed this chance, killing Li Feng later would be far more difficult. Moreover, with gun arts like these, Li Feng would give him no peace in the future.
“Good.” A cold killing intent burst from the youth’s eyes.
Third floor.
“Gunfire!” Su Kou shot to his feet and hurried to Mu Jiajia’s side. “Commander Mu, could that be the Black Hawk Squad arriving?”
“Didn’t you post men on the roof? Ask them,” Mu Jiajia replied coldly.
Tap, tap, tap…
Footsteps echoed. A young man ran up, panting. “Captain Su! Young, Young Master Feng is here!”
“What did you say? Young Master Feng is here?” Su Kou froze, then his face lit up with joy.
“Yes! I saw Young Master Feng enter Tianya Pavilion with my own eyes!”
“You’re certain? No mistake?” Su Kou asked gravely.
“I could mistake anyone else, but never Young Master Feng. He’s really here. We’re saved!” the youth replied.
“Excellent! Haha, perfect!” Su Kou laughed in delight. He had personally witnessed Li Feng’s massacre at the entrance of Tianya Pavilion last time. He knew how terrifyingly strong Li Feng was. Now that he had arrived, no problem was unsolvable.
Mu Jiajia stood up.
“Commander Mu, where are you going?”
“Counter-attack. Wipe out every last one of those assailants,” Mu Jiajia said, icy killing intent flashing in her eyes. During the earlier clashes earlier, the attackers had hurled filthy insults at her. She had long wanted to tear them apart. Now that Li Feng was here, those men were dead for certain. She refused to let Li Feng kill them all by himself.
“Yes! Counter-attack! We strike from inside while he strikes from outside. Leave none alive!” Su Kou reacted instantly. Drawing his machete, he charged towards the staircase.
Bang, bang, bang…
Mu Jiajia led the way, twin pistols blazing nonstop. The men guarding the stairs never expected a sudden counter-attack. Caught completely off guard, they were driven back to the second floor by Mu Jiajia’s group. A one-sided slaughter began.
First-floor lobby.
“Kill!”
Once Wu De issued his orders, Old Mu grabbed a nearby tea table and hurled it at Li Feng, then shot forward like lightning.
At the same moment, an overwhelming, majestic aura erupted from Old Mu’s body. It surged towards Blood Eagle like a raging tidal wave.
Whoosh!
His robes fluttered though there was no wind. A gentle breeze swept through the entire lobby. In that instant, everyone felt as though a mountain were pressing down on their hearts.
Seeing Old Mu charging, a cold smile touched Blood Eagle’s lips. He raised his long sword slightly. The aura of a seventh-layer Houtian expert burst from him.
“Die!”
Sensing Blood Eagle’s aura, Old Mu’s eyes flashed. He swept out his palm. A whistling sound tore through the air as a gigantic palm of force hurtled towards Blood Eagle.
Blood Eagle gave a cold laugh and swung his sword. Several sword rays shot through the air.
Boom!
With a thunderous explosion, the sword rays collided with the palm force and vanished. The palm force continued undiminished, slamming towards Blood Eagle.
Blood Eagle’s expression changed slightly. He stamped hard on the floor and retreated swiftly.
Boom!
The palm struck the ground, leaving a deep crater.
Blood Eagle’s pupils shrank. This old man was at least eighth-layer Houtian. Not someone he could face alone.
“Kill Eagle, join Blood Eagle and finish this old fellow,” Li Feng called out coldly after dodging the flying tea table. He had already assessed Old Mu’s strength.
Eighth-layer Houtian? So what? Even ninth-layer would die before the Blood Kill Twin Eagles.
“Yes!” Kill Eagle immediately charged towards Old Mu.
“Haha, perfect!” Old Mu laughed in delight. He had hoped Kill Eagle would come. Even if he could not kill the Twin Eagles, holding them both back was enough. Others would deal with Li Feng.
“Die!”
The Blood Kill Twin Eagles exchanged a glance. Their long swords shot forward simultaneously. They knew they were no individual match for Old Mu. Their only way to kill him was their combined technique.
The two swords fused mid-air into a single purple scythe that slashed towards Old Mu.
“You’re the Blood Kill Twin Eagles?” Old Mu’s face changed drastically as realisation struck. Two ordinary seventh-layer Houtian experts he could handle easily, even with two gunshot wounds. But the Blood Kill Twin Eagles were different. Their combined technique could slay ninth-layer Houtian experts. Even at his peak, Old Mu was no match for them, let alone now that he was wounded.
He could not understand why the infamous Blood Kill Twin Eagles, lone wolves who lived by murder and robbery, were now serving Li Feng.
But there was no time to think. Their attack had arrived. Old Mu could only focus on defending against the Twin Eagles.
While Old Mu tangled with the Twin Eagles, the men who had received Wu De’s orders charged at Li Feng from all directions. Each one was well-trained, their auras powerful, machetes gripped tightly, killing intent soaring.
“A mob of rabble.”
A cold smile curved Li Feng’s lips. If his true qi were still abundant and he were uninjured, these men would be nothing to him. But now he could only rely on his gun arts.
With that thought, he holstered the pistols and drew two sub-machine guns. He looked at the charging men, eyes filled with icy mockery.
Rat-tat-tat-tat…
Twin tongues of flame spat forth. The men, caught completely unprepared, were gunned down where they stood.
“How is this possible?” Wu De’s face drained of colour behind the sofa. He stared in disbelief. “How can Li Feng be carrying two sub-machine guns on him? Were they hidden in his trousers?”
He could not comprehend how Li Feng had produced two sub-machine guns as though by magic. Pistols were easy enough to conceal, but sub-machine guns? How could anyone carry those on their person?
“Do you know what’s going on?” Wu De turned to the youth. He knew the youth’s background and experience were extraordinary.
“If I’m not mistaken, Li Feng possesses a spatial pouch,” the youth replied, greed flashing in his eyes.
“A spatial pouch? What’s that?” Wu De asked blankly.
“Haven’t you read web novels, Wu De? It’s exactly like in the stories. A spatial pouch can store items,” the youth explained. He had never considered the possibility before; even among the younger generation of Hua Xia’s eight peak families, no one possessed such a treasure.
A cold glint appeared in Wu De’s eyes. “So no one knows how many guns or how much ammunition he has?”
“Exactly. If we don’t want to die here, we must kill Li Feng right now,” the youth said gravely.
