Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 5 - LiddRead

Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 5

Under the disdainful gaze of the salesperson, Li Feng took a stack of documents and drove his new car out of the dealership.

In the era he originally came from, such an antique car would be unattainable even with wealth. Li Feng had only encountered them a few times in the military, so although this was his first time truly driving, the journey went smoothly. Humming a tune, he drove back to his residence. The songs he hummed were all from beyond this era, incomprehensible to people here.

In the days that followed, Li Feng adapted to this new world while modifying his new car, keeping himself busy and content. Though he had no choice but to buy a QQ, with his personality, the car’s comfort fell far short of his standards. Upgrading this unremarkable vehicle to meet his needs was essential.

In his original era, Li Feng was an elite, exposed to all sorts of things. This antique car posed no challenge.

In just over an hour, he mastered the principles of the car’s components. After another hour, though he hadn’t yet worked hands-on, his knowledge of car modification rivaled any world-class expert.

This wasn’t because Li Feng’s intelligence was extraordinary, but because his knowledge far surpassed that of the 21st century. It was like a high-level mathematician tackling basic addition and subtraction; even without prior experience, it was effortless.

After grasping the car’s principles and modification theories, Li Feng began a comprehensive overhaul of the QQ. Three days later, the car’s frame, suspension, engine, brakes, and even tire surfaces were thoroughly transformed.

The most significant change was the car’s comfort. Though it still looked like an ordinary QQ from the outside, Li Feng was confident that even the most advanced limited-edition Porsches of this era couldn’t compare.

During this time, he also fully understood his identity. In Tianhai, he and Hu Yuanyuan co-owned a company, where he was the vice president. He rarely went to the office and, compared to the genius businesswoman Hu Yuanyuan, he was utterly unremarkable.

That day, Li Feng drove to the city, parked in a secluded spot, and planned to visit a pharmacy for body-refining herbs. But just then, a jarring voice disrupted his good mood from behind, “Kid, hand over your wallet!”

Hearing this, Li Feng spun around and saw four young men with brightly dyed hair leaning against his new car. Holding iron rods, they grinned menacingly. At the same time, he noticed two others approaching from the other end of the road, effectively trapping him.

Never having faced such a situation, Li Feng looked at them with interest and asked, “Hand over my wallet? Why?”

The group paused at his words. Then one youth brandished his iron rod, snarling, “This is a robbery. Don’t cooperate, and we’ll ruin you!”

“So it’s a robbery!” Li Feng laughed. From historical records, he knew the 21st century was rife with crime. He just hadn’t expected to encounter a legendary robbery so soon.

“Now you get it. Hand over the wallet, or it’s a white blade in, red blade out!” Seeing Li Feng understand, the leader continued his threats.

As Li Feng spoke, the robbers closed in, subtly surrounding him. With their numerical advantage, they were confident he’d soon surrender and hand over his valuables.

“I’ve got money, just don’t hurt anyone!” Li Feng feigned fear, “How much do you want to let me go?”

“Isn’t that obvious? All you’ve got!” the robber snapped.

“Alright,” Li Feng opened his bulging wallet in front of them, “I don’t have much cash, just a few tens of thousands.”

“Enough, hand it over!” The thugs, expecting only pocket change, were overjoyed at catching such a fat target. Even their leader was stunned, stumbling over his words.

“But this money’s for shopping,” Li Feng teased, watching their greedy eyes. “I’m a few thousand short. Got any on you? Lend me some to get by.”

“You punk, daring to mess with us!” Even a fool could see Li Feng was toying with them. The leader roared, “Brothers, beat him to death!”

At their boss’s command, the thugs rushed forward to teach Li Feng a lesson.

Li Feng’s lips curled into a cruel smile. Even as a beginner in cultivation, his reflexes were several times faster than the robbers’, and his muscle strength was over ten times greater. Though the thugs gave their all, to Li Feng, their movements were painfully slow, like clumsy slow-motion scenes in a bad action movie.

Without using any combat techniques, relying solely on his speed and strength, Li Feng dealt with the thugs effortlessly.

In less than a minute, all but the leader were down.

Seeing his men fall, the leader shouted, thrusting a dagger at Li Feng’s abdomen. Seeing the thug meant business, Li Feng showed no mercy. With a casual palm, he knocked the dagger away, then kicked the leader’s arm.

Using only a third of his strength, the kick was enough to break bone. A sharp crack sounded, and the leader collapsed, clutching his arm, screaming in agony.

The thugs, expecting an easy mark, were stunned by this refined-looking man’s ruthless fighting. They’d always relied on numbers to rob small change, never facing an opponent like Li Feng. Now, they were terrified.

Li Feng stepped on the leader’s face, saying coldly, “This is your skill, and you dare rob people?”

“Y, yes, we didn’t know better!” Thinking they’d found a fat sheep, they’d hit a steel plate. The leader, enduring excruciating pain, whimpered, “We won’t dare cross you again, sir. Please let us go!”

With a cold laugh, Li Feng pressed harder, not believing a word.

“What are you doing?” A woman’s voice rang out behind him as Li Feng considered how to resolve this for good. Turning, he saw a uniformed policewoman striding toward him.
