Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 53

“Li Feng, shut your mouth,” Mu Xiuzhen slammed the table in fury. She finally realised what Li Feng was about to say. Last time in the interrogation room, he had stolen her first kiss. Even after a month, the memory was vivid. Sometimes, she even dreamed about it while sleeping. This was why she despised him so much.

Today’s case didn’t require her involvement, but seeing Li Feng’s name, she saw a chance to deal with him and took it. She never expected him to bring up that incident.

That event must never be known to others. Being forcibly kissed was a lifelong shame for her. With no immediate chance for revenge, she buried her hatred deep inside, waiting for an opportunity. But if others found out, how could she face the world?

“Officer Mu, did I say something wrong?” Li Feng looked at her, feigning innocence.

“You, step out,” Mu Xiuzhen wanted to explode but, mindful of her colleague nearby, suppressed her anger and told him to leave.

“Captain Mu…” Her colleague looked at her, puzzled. He hadn’t expected the usually cold Mu Xiuzhen to react so strongly. Recalling Li Feng’s words, he began to suspect something.

Did Li Feng and Mu Xiuzhen have some connection? Why else would she insist on handling his case personally after he was caught in a raid?

Questions swirled in his mind.

“Out,” Mu Xiuzhen said, her eyes blazing at Li Feng, oblivious to her colleague’s expression.

“Alright.”

Her colleague quickly complied, thinking it best to stay out of what seemed like a lovers’ quarrel. The idea of the fierce Mu Xiuzhen having a man felt odd to him.

Bang!

Once her colleague left, Mu Xiuzhen slammed the interrogation room door shut, glaring coldly at Li Feng.

“Li Feng, you’re done for.”

“Done for? Officer Mu, do you mean you want me to die in ecstasy?” Li Feng looked at her boldly.

“You…” Mu Xiuzhen, furious, aimed a kick at him.

“Officer Mu, your leg feels better every time,” Li Feng grabbed her leg.

“Let go of me,” Mu Xiuzhen struggled but couldn’t break free. She realised she was no match for this playboy. Last time, he had taken advantage of her like this. Would it happen again?

A wave of sadness hit her.

Li Feng looked at her, stunned. Was this really a policewoman, crying again? He feared nothing, but a woman’s tears left him helpless. Caught off guard, he had no idea what to do.

“Mu Xiuzhen, fine, you win,” Li Feng said, intending to tease her further but giving up at the sight of her tears. Yet, instead of stopping, she cried harder.

Li Feng was speechless. He hadn’t even done much, so why was she crying like this? Anyone would think he’d done something awful.

“Officer Mu, the cameras are on,” Li Feng reminded her kindly.

“You’re lying. I turned them off long ago,” Mu Xiuzhen glared at him, furious. After he humiliated her last time, she spent the past month training hard, determined to teach him a lesson. Her fighting skills had improved dramatically, and she had planned to confront him today, turning off the cameras in advance. But now, she had trapped herself.

Considering Li Feng’s skills, she felt he was even better than her academy instructors. Few in the force could match her, let alone Li Feng.

According to his file, he was a rich family’s young master. How could he have such formidable skills? Were all these elite family heirs so well-hidden?

“So the cameras are off, meaning no one can see what I do here?” Li Feng grinned mischievously.

“What do you want?” Mu Xiuzhen eyed him warily.

“Aren’t you crying? Believe me, I could…” Li Feng said with a sly smile.

“You,” Mu Xiuzhen stepped back, watching him cautiously. She didn’t doubt he was capable of anything, given his playboy reputation.

“I’m done playing, Officer Mu. When can I leave?” Li Feng asked.

“Leave? Dream on. Stay put,” Mu Xiuzhen snorted, retreating to the door and opening it, finally relaxing. After that moment, she dared not be alone with him. With his skills, she might end up like Qin Keqing.

She also thought Li Feng’s ability to coerce women likely stemmed from his skills and powerful background. Such a person was a menace to society.

Bang!

Mu Xiuzhen left the interrogation room, closing the door, only to find several colleagues staring at her in shock.

“What are you looking at? Get back to work,” she snapped, heading to her office. Once she was gone, the officers started whispering.

“Did you see? Captain Mu had tears on her face.”

“Yeah, who knew Captain Mu could cry?”

“Looks like that Li Feng is probably her boyfriend.”

“No wonder she’s so cold to men at the station. She already has someone.”

“I bet Li Feng’s a jerk. Having Mu and still fooling around.”

“Can you blame him? You know her temper. Poor guy, being her boyfriend.”

“Should we help her out?”

“How?”

“His offence isn’t big. Keeping him here might embarrass her. Why not let him go?”

“Good idea.”

And so, Li Feng was released. Half an hour later, Mu Xiuzhen returned to the interrogation room, seeing it empty. “Xiao Li, where’s Li Feng?” she asked.

“Captain Mu, we let him go,” Xiao Li replied.

“Let him go? Who told you to do that? He should be held for at least 24 hours,” Mu Xiuzhen barked.

“Captain Mu, old habits die hard. Locking him up for 24 days won’t change him. Better let him go home and reform,” Xiao Li said cautiously.

Mu Xiuzhen thought darkly, “Li Feng, you won’t be so lucky next time.”

Li Feng left the station, returning to his villa in a foul mood. Tonight had been exceptionally unlucky. First, Consul Su caused trouble, then he met Qin Keqing in the private room, thinking something might happen. But he ended up at the police station.

In the end, he got nothing out of it. Had he known this would happen, he never would have agreed to meet Wang Yilong at Tian Shang Ren Jian.

Wait!

Li Feng frowned suddenly. He went to Tian Shang Ren Jian because of Wang Yilong’s invitation. From arriving to being taken by the police, Wang Yilong never showed up. That was too odd. If Wang Yilong was busy, why did he text that he was on his way when Li Feng arrived?

From the text to being taken away, over two hours passed. Whatever kept Wang Yilong should have been done by then. And he went to room three because the waiter said Wang Yilong was waiting there. Yet Qin Keqing said he was coming soon.

But in reality? He chatted with Qin Keqing for nearly half an hour, and Wang Yilong never appeared. Only when he couldn’t resist her and was about to act did the police show up. Their timing was too perfect.

“It seems things aren’t as simple as I thought. Whether it was Consul Su’s provocation or Qin Keqing’s seduction, it was likely planned.”

A glint flashed in Li Feng’s eyes. He hadn’t cared before, but now, the situation was full of red flags.

“Wang Yilong, is this your move against me? Let’s see what you do next.”

The next day, after freshening up, Li Feng went to the living room and saw Hu Yuanyuan reading a newspaper on the sofa. Just as he was about to greet her, she snorted, tossed the paper down, and stormed off.

“What’s her problem? Did I offend her?” Li Feng looked at her, puzzled, then noticed the newspaper on the floor. A bold headline caught his eye.

“Rich Playboy Seeks Fun at Nightclub,” accompanied by a photo of Li Feng being led out of Tian Shang Ren Jian by the police.
