“Wait a moment.”
Mun Jiajia called out to Zhong Shuhui, then turned to the intelligence operative. “You said Situ Qiang’s subordinates have moved. What about Cai Die’s men?”
“They have not moved.” The operative replied.
“Not moved?” Mun Jiajia’s eyes narrowed. She sneered. “It seems things are more troublesome than we imagined.”
“At this juncture, I did not expect Cai Die to still hold back.” Zhong Shuhui said coldly. From their analysis, Blood Shadow had centred his trap on Tianfu Building, designing it to encircle Li Feng. Even with Li Feng’s strength, breaking out would be difficult.
Li Feng’s plan, meanwhile, used the maglev car as bait, setting an ambush in Tianfu Building to net Blood Shadow and his allies in one sweep.
As the ones tasked with eliminating Blood Shadow, Zhong Shuhui and her team had to wait until Blood Shadow and his forces acted before moving. Now Li Feng had entered Tianfu Building, and the men of Situ Qiang and Zhu Yuanyang had mobilised. Yet unexpectedly, Cai Die remained inactive.
“Do we really need to keep waiting? We can wait, but Young Master Feng and the others may not have that luxury.” Cang Ying said.
“We cannot wait any longer.” A glint flashed in Zhong Shuhui’s eyes. She said gravely, “However, we also cannot ignore Cai Die.”
“Commander Zhong, what do you mean?” Cang Ying asked gravely.
“Cang Ying, take men immediately and attack Situ Qiang’s forces.” Zhong Shuhui pondered briefly before speaking to Cang Ying. “Your goal is to draw Cai Die into action. Then, Mun Jiajia, you lead men to deal with Cai Die’s forces.”
“Commander Zhong, if Situ Qiang’s men include ancient martial artists, I fear I may not be their match.” Cang Ying said gravely.
“Rest assured. I will have Lu Shuang assist you covertly. If you encounter ancient martial artists you cannot handle, he will intervene.” Zhong Shuhui said gravely.
“Good.” Cang Ying acknowledged and turned to leave.
“Commander Zhong, you plan to use us as bait?” Mun Jiajia looked at Zhong Shuhui gravely. She was not like Cang Ying. Her thoughts were not so straightforward.
“Exactly.” Zhong Shuhui nodded. “If you do not act, those hiding in the shadows will not move. Only when you act will they reveal themselves. Then we will have the chance to net them all.”
Zhong Shuhui currently had limited forces. Of the five Black Hawk squads, two and a half were inside Tianfu Building. She had only two and a half squads left, plus dozens of Hawk Eye elites and over a hundred Hawk Eye intelligence personnel.
Fortunately, she still had the Blood Kill Double Eagles, Lu Shuang, and Lin Ge, warriors capable of facing ninth-level post-natal experts. Add to that several dozen men from Song Zhiyuan, Miao Xingyun, herself, Mun Jiajia, and covert cooperation from Fu Yanxiong. Their combined strength was formidable.
Yet Zhong Shuhui knew better. Besides the known enemies, many lurked in the dark. Until those hidden forces were drawn out, she could not confidently deploy other assets. Moreover, their numbers were insufficient to fully encircle the enemy. This was why Li Feng’s plan designated two battlefields.
If the enemy attempted to break out, they could be encircled and killed on the second battlefield. Thus, Zhong Shuhui had positioned part of their forces there.
“If that is the case, I believe it should be you who acts.” Mun Jiajia said gravely.
“Me?” Zhong Shuhui’s gaze flickered.
“Yes. Among all the forces in Tianhai City now, who does not know you, Zhong Shuhui, are Li Feng’s right-hand woman? If you do not act, they will suspect Li Feng has reserved forces in the shadows. They will certainly hesitate to move.”
At this point, Mun Jiajia glanced at Zhong Shuhui and continued gravely. “But if you act, it will be different. Those people will assume Li Feng has committed all his forces. Then they will certainly strike against you. That is when the opportunity arises.”

“Why would I not trust you? You are my deputy. If I do not trust you, whom would I trust?” Zhong Shuhui said calmly.
“You are not afraid I will sabotage Young Master Feng’s plan?” Mun Jiajia asked gravely.
“Would you?” Zhong Shuhui smiled. “Mun Jiajia, I hear that when you first met the young master, you tried every means to seduce him. I wonder if you still harbour such thoughts?”
“You are talking nonsense.” Mun Jiajia’s face flushed.
“If you still have such intentions, I can help you. Though the young master is ruthless to enemies, he is particularly soft-hearted towards women. If you seduce him once more, I believe he will surely fall under your spell. Then I might even have to call you young mistress.” Zhong Shuhui said with a smile.
“Commander Zhong, stop talking nonsense.” Mun Jiajia said with some embarrassment and annoyance. For her, that attempt to seduce Li Feng had been her greatest mistake. If not for that incident, she would not now be in Li Feng’s hands.
“Am I talking nonsense? Mun Jiajia, you are so beautiful that even I feel my heart stir looking at you. How much more the young master? I have seen how his eyes nearly pop out when he looks at you.” Zhong Shuhui said with a smile.
“Commander Zhong, enough about me. You are no less attractive. I refuse to believe Li Feng has no interest in you.” Mun Jiajia countered.
Zhong Shuhui was momentarily stunned, recalling that meaningful gaze Li Feng had once given her.
Seeing Zhong Shuhui’s expression, Mun Jiajia’s eyes turned slyly.
While Zhong Shuhui and her team finalised their plans, on the twenty-fifth floor of Tianfu Building, the Black Hawk team had reached a critical moment of life and death.
Upon receiving Blood Shadow’s orders, the black-clad men no longer merely surrounded but launched frenzied attacks against Tian Lang and his group.
Though Tian Lang’s team had guns, the black-clad men had countermeasures. They used doors torn from who knew where as shields, charging into the small office.
With these doors as cover, the firepower from Tian Lang’s guns lost much of its effectiveness.
“What do we do?”
Watching the defensive lines he had painstakingly built being breached one by one, Tian Lang grew anxious. He knew his men could not hold for three minutes. In just three minutes, the black-clad men would storm in, and everyone would die.
“Boss, this won’t work. I am almost out of ammunition.” A Black Hawk team member said.
“Boss, me too.” Another member called from nearby.
“If we run out of bullets, use knives. At worst, we die.” A ruthless glint flashed in Tian Lang’s eyes. For people like them who lived on the edge of blades, death held no terror.
“Right. At worst, we die. What is there to fear in death?” A nearby team member nodded.
“Good. Brothers, follow me and charge out. If we die, we die with scars.” Tian Lang said gravely. He refused to sit and await death. At worst, it was death.
“Good.”
At that moment.
“Tian Lang, Tian Lang…”
A voice came from behind. Tian Lang was startled. Turning, he saw An Hu outside the window.
What was going on?
Tian Lang’s mind filled with confusion.
“Tian Lang, quick. Have the brothers withdraw through the windows.” An Hu said urgently.
After receiving Li Feng’s orders, An Hu had easily dealt with the minor nuisance at Fengyuan Group, then come down to assist.
However, An Hu knew his strength was insufficient to rescue Ge Feng and Ge Ying. Thus, he prioritised saving Tian Lang’s group.
“Tian Lang, there are ropes outside the windows. You can reach the twenty-sixth floor, but you must be fast. Otherwise, the black-clad men might shoot you down. A fall would shatter you to pieces.” An Hu said gravely.
“Rest assured. This will not trouble us.” A gleam flashed in Tian Lang’s eyes. Having a chance to escape was a tremendous boon. In their mercenary days, this would not have fazed him. Now as martial artists, it was even easier.
“I am going to save Hunter Leopard and the others.” With that, An Hu grabbed the rope and climbed up.
“Brothers, pool the remaining ammunition. I will cover the rear. You withdraw first.” Tian Lang said gravely.
“Boss, let me cover instead.”
“Yes, boss. Let us cover.”
The other Black Hawk members spoke up.
“No need for discussion. Follow my orders. We have no time to argue now.” Tian Lang said gravely.
“Good.” The several Black Hawk members nodded quickly.
As Tian Lang’s group organised their withdrawal, on the twenty-eighth floor, Ge Feng and Ge Ying had reached an extremely critical juncture.
Though Ge Feng and Ge Ying were at the fifth level post-natal, the several opponents they faced were also fifth-level, and outnumbered them. Despite fighting desperately, they were outmatched.
“You two, surrender quickly. Perhaps we will spare your lives. Otherwise, I will leave you without even bones.” A black-clad man fighting Ge Feng said coldly.
“Hmph. If you want to kill us, it depends on whether you have the ability.” Ge Feng sneered. His attacks did not weaken. Though facing two enemies was exceedingly difficult, no matter how hard, he would not surrender.
“Kid, you may hold out, but that little girl cannot. It would be a pity for such a delicate girl to die. Better to let the brothers enjoy her properly.” The black-clad man sneered.
“You court death.” Ge Feng flew into a rage. Ge Ying was his sister. He would never allow her to be insulted.
With this thought, after blocking a palm from the black-clad man, Ge Feng stamped the ground and charged fiercely at him.
“Kid, I have been waiting for you.” The black-clad man sneered coldly. His hands struck out. Ferocious qi manifested, forming a giant wolf in the air that pounced towards Ge Feng with bared fangs and claws.
“Not good.” Ge Feng’s expression changed repeatedly. He hurriedly unleashed several palms.
Boom!
A massive explosion rang out. The palm strikes from Ge Feng were swallowed by the giant wolf. Its momentum unchecked, it slammed viciously into Ge Feng’s chest.
Bang!
Ge Feng grunted, flying backwards. He crashed heavily to the ground, spewing a mouthful of blood with a retch.
“Kid, die.” The black-clad man pounced towards Ge Feng with a ferocious grin.
