Hu Yuanyuan stared at Li Feng, her mind blank.
She’d been kissed. Li Feng had kissed her.
She couldn’t believe it, frozen in place, just staring at him.
Li Feng savored her lips thoroughly before pulling back. He wanted to go further, but he knew restraint. Hu Yuanyuan wasn’t like other women; her pride and dignity were unmatched. Kissing her was already a big step, and she might not fully accept him yet. Though he longed to push forward, he knew the timing wasn’t right.
“Get up already,” Hu Yuanyuan said, her face flushed as she pushed him.
Li Feng grinned mischievously, like a kid caught stealing candy.
“Out!”
Hu Yuanyuan, somehow finding the strength, shoved and dragged him out of the room, then buried her face in her hands, collapsing onto the bed in embarrassment.
“Oh my God, I got kissed…”
Outside, Li Feng licked his lips, muttering, “So sweet!”
Glancing at her room, he was certain that while he’d only tasted her lips today, next time…
Heh. He owed Yu Su a thank-you. Without him, their relationship wouldn’t have progressed this fast.
Thinking of Yu Su, a cold glint flashed in Li Feng’s eyes.
To Li Feng, Hu Yuanyuan was already his woman. For Yu Su, that old lecher, to dare target her was unforgivable. Though he’d already beaten him to a pulp at Emperor’s Pavilion, ensuring he’d spend the rest of his life bedridden, it wasn’t enough.
He had to ruin him completely.
Back in his room, Li Feng pulled out his laptop.
Soon, he’d dug up everything on Yu Su. Looking at the data, he sneered, “Let’s see how I play you to death this time.”
Then, he leaked all of Yu Su’s criminal evidence—his properties, bank accounts, mistresses—across major websites.
In an instant, Yu Su’s crimes, complete with videos, appeared on computers worldwide, including those of the U.S. Intelligence Agency and Britain’s MI6.
“What’s going on? Someone explain this!” In the U.S. Intelligence Agency, Director Kari Wu’s face was ashen as he glared at his subordinates. The agency, a cornerstone of the U.S. government, held countless secrets, protected by the world’s strongest firewalls. Yet now, these files and videos had appeared, meaning someone had breached their defenses.
This was unforgivable. With so many secrets at stake, if someone could steal them, it’d be child’s play.
“Director, we can’t delete these files or videos,” a technician reported after attempting to remove them.
“What?” Kari Wu’s face darkened further. “What are you all good for? Aren’t you computer experts? You can’t even handle this?”
“Who is this Yu Su?”
“Director, Yu Su is the deputy director of the Technical Supervision Bureau in Tianhai City, China,” an agent quickly answered.
“A Chinese?” Kari Wu snorted. “Contact the Chinese government. I want an explanation.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Yakexi, this might be linked to the Chinese. Take our best agents to China and investigate. If it’s a Chinese, eliminate them by any means necessary.”
“Yes, Director.”
At the same time, in Yanjing, the National Security Bureau.
“This must be handled seriously,” the bureau chief said gravely. “I’m ordering Yu Su’s immediate arrest.”
“Chief, Yu Su’s a small fry. The real issue is finding out who did this. The entire Chinese internet is flooded with Yu Su’s files and videos. The mastermind’s capabilities are terrifying,” a middle-aged man said solemnly.
“Exactly. Someone like that is far more dangerous than Yu Su. We can’t let them run free,” a young man added. “They caused a storm over Yu Su. If they sell out national interests later, the consequences would be catastrophic.”
“Agreed.”
“I agree too.”
The chief gave a wry smile. “The problem is, do any of you know who did this?”
Silence fell over the room.
“Yaoji, even you can’t trace them?” the chief asked a young woman nearby.
Yaoji shook her head. “Their methods are untraceable. I can’t find out who they are.”
“There might be a way,” a voice piped up.
All eyes turned to a bald young man.
“Fozhu, what’s your idea?” the chief asked.
“Chief, these files and videos clearly show someone’s targeting Yu Su. He must’ve offended the wrong person. If we start with Yu Su, we might find a lead,” Fozhu said.
The chief nodded. “Good thinking, Fozhu. You’re in charge. Head to Tianhai City immediately and get to the bottom of this.”
“Yes, sir.”
Ring, ring!
Just then, the red phone on the desk rang. The chief’s expression shifted as he picked it up.
A minute later, he said heavily, “This is worse than we thought. These files and videos aren’t just in China—they’re on computers at the U.S. Intelligence Agency, MI6, and worldwide. The U.S. and Britain are pressuring us for an explanation.”
“What?” The room was stunned. A global breach, bypassing the U.S. and MI6’s firewalls, was beyond even their best hackers.
The chief said gravely, “This is the biggest case in our bureau’s history. We must go all in.”
“Chief, this might not be all bad,” Yaoji interjected. “Given their methods, they’re likely Chinese. If they are, and we can recruit them…”
The chief’s eyes lit up. “Yaoji’s right. This could be a chance for China to soar. Someone who can breach the U.S. and MI6 could target the U.S. Defense Department, even control their strategic weapons. This is a rare opportunity. Fozhu, go to Tianhai City. If they’re Chinese, protect them at all costs.”
“Yes, Chief.”
