Hidden Dragon Heir Chapter 66

As the culprit, Li Feng was unaware that his unintentional actions had shocked the world, nor did he know they had inadvertently brought him significant trouble.

At that moment, he was lying on his bed, chuckling foolishly. His mind was filled with the sensation of pinning Hu Yuanyuan beneath him and kissing her.

“Damn, when did I turn into some innocent boy who’s never been with a woman?”

Li Feng shook his head, smiling self-mockingly, “She’s just a woman. With my skills, isn’t she within easy reach? Do I need to be so hung up on her?”

Pushing the thoughts aside, Li Feng fell asleep.

The next day, after washing up and leaving his room, he saw Hu Yuanyuan coming down the stairs. The moment he saw her, he asked with concern, “How did you sleep last night? Why do you look so pale? Don’t tell me you were thinking about me all night.”

“Full of yourself,” Hu Yuanyuan said, her face flushing. She hadn’t slept a wink, her mind consumed with thoughts of Li Feng. But she’d never admit that to him.

“If you’re not feeling well, don’t go to the company today. Work is important, but your health is the foundation,” Li Feng said.

“I know my limits. There’s a lot to handle at the company. I have to go today,” Hu Yuanyuan replied, thinking of how Li Feng had beaten Yu Su the night before. The Technical Supervision Bureau issue still needed a solution. If it wasn’t resolved, the company’s products couldn’t be sold, which would have a huge impact.

Li Feng didn’t press further, only saying, “Be careful. If you’re going out to negotiate, call me. I’ll go with you.”

“Alright,” Hu Yuanyuan nodded.

After breakfast, Hu Yuanyuan drove to the company, while Li Feng received a call from Liu Shichao, asking him to go to the suburban warehouse to watch stone-cutting.

“Finally making a move?”

Li Feng’s lips curled into a cold smile. Stone-cutting? The raw stones in Liu Shichao’s batch that could yield jade had already been taken by him. The stones in the warehouse were just rubbish. Even the best stone-cutting experts couldn’t produce jade from them.

When Li Feng arrived at the warehouse, Liu Shichao, Li Quan, and Wang Xiong were at the entrance, along with two middle-aged men, presumably the stone-cutting experts Liu Shichao mentioned.

“Young Master Feng, you’re here,” Liu Shichao, Li Quan, and Wang Xiong greeted him as he approached.

“Yeah,” Li Feng nodded, his gaze landing on Li Quan. This was the first time he’d seen him since their last meeting at Tianya Pavilion.

“Young Master Feng.”

“Li Quan, how are your injuries? All healed?” Li Feng asked with ‘concern.’

“Thanks for your concern, Young Master Feng. My injuries are mostly healed,” Li Quan said calmly.

“Good to hear,” Li Feng said, as if relieved, though he sneered inwardly. If Li Quan had shown anger, Li Feng might have respected him more. But his calm tone suggested a deeper cunning than Li Feng had expected, and he couldn’t afford to underestimate him.

“That bastard Song Zhiyuan went so hard on you. Next time I see him, I’ll teach him a lesson, let him know my people aren’t to be touched,” Li Feng said fiercely.

“Thank you, Young Master Feng,” Li Quan said, feigning ‘surprise.’

“But Li Quan, honestly, it was my fault last time. I saw you training at the gym and thought you were preparing to mess with Song Zhiyuan. That’s why I said those things to him at Tianya Pavilion. You know he’s our sworn enemy. Back in Yanjing, we all suffered under him. I just didn’t expect that after all this time, Song Zhiyuan’s strength is still so formidable.”

Li Feng spoke with regret, “Li Quan, you don’t blame me, do you?”

“Young Master Feng, how could I blame you? It was my own lack of skill. I couldn’t beat Song Zhiyuan,” Li Quan quickly shook his head.

“Good, good,” Li Feng said, seemingly relieved.

“Young Master Feng, we’re here to cut stones, not chat,” Wang Xiong interjected impatiently.

“Isn’t this Manager Wang? What are you doing here?” Li Feng looked at Wang Xiong, puzzled. “Since when did Manager Wang become a stone-cutting expert?”

Uh…

Wang Xiong froze, then laughed, “Young Master Feng, you’re joking. I’m no stone-cutting expert. I’m here to watch you cut stones.”

“But what does our company’s stone-cutting have to do with Manager Wang?” Li Feng asked.

“Young Master Feng, this concerns Tiantian Loan’s 1.5 billion loan issue. I have to take it seriously, so I came to check it out,” Wang Xiong said.

“Manager Wang is truly dedicated,” Li Feng said, a cold smile flickering across his lips. Wang Xiong couldn’t wait to see him lose everything. People like him deserved to die.

Wang Xiong’s eyes showed some helplessness. He knew his actions were inappropriate, but it was orders from above, and he had no choice.

“Manager Wang, do you think this batch of raw stones will make a profit or a loss?” Li Feng asked with a grin.

“With yours and Young Master Liu’s abilities, of course you’ll make a profit, a huge one,” Wang Xiong said with a smile.

“Oh, I thought Manager Wang believed we’d lose everything,” Li Feng said, smiling broadly, then his face darkened. “Since Manager Wang thinks Young Master Liu and I can make a fortune with these stones, why worry about us not paying back the loan?”

“Uh, well…” Wang Xiong stammered, caught off guard by Li Feng’s sharp tongue, unsure how to respond.

“Young Master Feng, Manager Wang is just concerned about you,” Li Quan quickly chimed in. “Besides, Manager Wang has overseen Tiantian Loan for years. He’s experienced. Having him here might help us strategize.”

“Look at me, why didn’t I think of that? Li Quan, you’re like my strategist. I’d be so lost without you,” Li Feng said, tapping his forehead in mock frustration, looking relieved.

“I’m Young Master Feng’s follower. How could I ever leave you?” Li Quan hurriedly pledged his loyalty.

“Young Master Feng, let’s head inside,” Liu Shichao said, somewhat awkwardly.

“Right, let’s go,” Li Feng said, as if snapping out of it, leading Li Quan, Wang Xiong, and the others into the warehouse.

Inside, piles of raw stones were stacked. Seeing them, Wang Xiong said excitedly, “Wow, so many stones. Young Master Feng, if just a few yield jade, you’ll make a fortune.”

Li Feng glanced at him, a cold glint in his eyes. Jade? He’d heard from Liu Shichao that after he took a few stones last time, Wang Xiong had brought experts to sweep through, taking stones likely to yield jade. The ones left in the warehouse were just rejects.

“Let’s start,” Li Feng said to Liu Shichao.

Liu Shichao nodded, instructing the two stone-cutting experts to begin.
