Three days later.
Li Feng signed the share transfer agreement, then smiled at Su Xin, “Congratulations, Young Master Su. You’re now a shareholder of Xiangfeng Investment.”
“Haha, great, great. Here’s the three billion cash cheque. Please take it,” Su Xin handed over the cheque to Li Feng.
“As expected of Young Master Su, such a big move,” Li Feng said with a smile, looking at Su Xin. “Not many in Tianhai City can pull out three billion at once. I’m a bit curious, Young Master Su, where did this three billion come from?”
“That’s not your concern, is it?” Su Xin’s lips twitched. He wasn’t about to tell Li Feng the money belonged to someone else. Even with his grandfather’s help, he couldn’t scrape together three billion, no matter how much he tried.
Su Xin certainly wouldn’t admit to Li Feng that the three billion came from Qin Feng, lent to Sun Xipeng to suppress Xiangfeng Investment.
Over the past three days, to secure the three billion, Su Xin had promised Sun Xipeng plenty of benefits and used Qin Feng’s name to get the funds.
In Sun Xipeng’s mind, the three billion was worth it. With Xiangfeng Investment’s Smart One, he could recoup the money in a year and repay Qin Feng, who likely wouldn’t mind.
“Heh, just asking casually,” Li Feng smiled.
“Li Feng, this isn’t your company anymore. Please leave,” Su Xin said smugly. Finally, he’d driven out that pest Li Feng, achieving his goal.
“Leave? Why should I leave?” Li Feng asked, feigning confusion.
“You’re no longer a shareholder of Xiangfeng Investment. Do you still want to stay here? Oh, I forgot, you’re still the vice president. Well, as a shareholder of Xiangfeng Investment, I’m now relieving you of your vice president duties,” Su Xin declared triumphantly, relishing the chance to order Li Feng around, something he’d dreamed of.
“Oh, got it,” Li Feng nodded nonchalantly.
“You’re still not leaving? Should I call security?” Su Xin snapped, seeing Li Feng had no intention of moving.
“Young Master Su, I think you’ve got something wrong,” Li Feng said calmly.
“This isn’t Xiangfeng Investment. This is Fengyuan Group,” Li Feng said slowly, looking at Su Xin. “Didn’t you see the sign at the entrance?”
“What?” Su Xin stared at Li Feng in disbelief, his mind blank. This place was Xiangfeng Investment yesterday. When did it become Fengyuan Group? And what was Fengyuan Group?
“This is the headquarters of Fengyuan Group, not Xiangfeng Investment. Don’t get it wrong, Young Master Su,” Li Feng said calmly.
“What Fengyuan Group? Li Feng, are you joking?” Su Xin said incredulously.
“Fengyuan Group is a company Hu Yuanyuan and I established two days ago, with a registered capital of three billion,” Li Feng said, waving the cash cheque with a grin. “If it weren’t for your three billion, Young Master Su, Fengyuan Group wouldn’t have been set up so quickly. Honestly, I owe you a big thank you.”
“You…” Su Xin took a deep breath and asked, “What about Xiangfeng Investment?”
“Xiangfeng Investment? Yesterday, I rented a warehouse in the suburbs to serve as its headquarters. If you want to visit, the address is in the contract,” Li Feng said casually.
Su Xin checked the contract and, sure enough, Xiangfeng Investment’s address wasn’t Tianfu Tower but some place he’d never heard of.
“You played me?” Su Xin glared at Li Feng, his face ashen.
“Played you? You’re not a woman, how could I play you?” Li Feng quipped humorously, earning a sharp pinch on the waist from Hu Yuanyuan.
Holding Hu Yuanyuan’s mischievous hand, Li Feng continued, “Young Master Su, you didn’t read the contract carefully when you signed it. Who’s to blame for that?”
“Li Feng, you’re good,” Su Xin said angrily, glaring at him. He hadn’t expected to be tricked by Li Feng. But he wasn’t worried. At worst, he’d rent another place to move Xiangfeng Investment’s headquarters back. After all, the company still had tens of millions in stocks and Smart One’s core technology. He had a chance to recover.
“Thanks for the compliment, Young Master Su. I’m doing great, eating well, sleeping well,” Li Feng smiled, then said to Su Xin, “Young Master Su, it’s working hours. Don’t you think it’s time to leave?”
“Li Feng, don’t get cocky,” Su Xin shot him a cold look. The rent for Tianfu Tower was only a few million a year, pocket change to him.
Wait, wasn’t Tianfu Tower owned by Xiangfeng Investment? Realising this, Su Xin grew smug.
“Li Feng, Tianfu Tower belongs to Xiangfeng Investment, right? Now that I’m a shareholder, I own Tianfu Tower. Please move your company out of Tianfu Tower.”
“Young Master Su, are you confused? Since when was Tianfu Tower owned by Xiangfeng Investment? It clearly belongs to Li Group,” Li Feng said with a mocking smile. Tianfu Tower was only nominally under Xiangfeng Investment. Li Group had merely transferred the tower’s profits to Xiangfeng Investment, or rather, to Li Feng. The property title hadn’t been transferred. How could it belong to Xiangfeng Investment? It was, in fact, Li Group’s.
By procedure, Tianfu Tower wouldn’t be transferred to Xiangfeng Investment until next year at the earliest. Now that Xiangfeng Investment had been sold, Tianfu Tower naturally wouldn’t be transferred to it.
Otherwise, with Li Feng’s cautious nature, how could he make such a huge mistake and hand over Tianfu Tower?
Su Xin didn’t really believe Tianfu Tower belonged to Xiangfeng Investment either. He’d only asked because of hearsay. Now, with Li Feng’s explanation, it was likely true.
Li Group was a titan in China, even globally. He didn’t dare provoke them.
Looking at the busy employees, Su Xin immediately said, “Pack up your things and come with me.”
“Young Master Su, are you ill?” Li Feng looked at him oddly. “These are Fengyuan Group’s employees. Why would they go with you? Are you trying to poach them right in front of me? You really don’t take me seriously.”
“They’re clearly Xiangfeng Investment’s employees,” Su Xin said.
“They were, but as of yesterday, they’ve terminated their contracts with Xiangfeng Investment and become Fengyuan Group employees,” Li Feng said calmly.
“You… Ruthless,” Su Xin glared at Li Feng coldly, realising he’d been played.
But Su Xin wasn’t too worried. A few employees? He could just hire more. Li Feng was only good at these petty tricks and wouldn’t amount to much.
“Oh, Young Master Su, I forgot to mention one thing,” Li Feng said, as if suddenly remembering. “The tens of millions in stocks under Xiangfeng Investment were transferred to Fengyuan Group yesterday.”
“But don’t worry, Young Master Su. The transfer came with a fee, though it was only one yuan.”
“What? You, you…”
Su Xin was so furious his heart burned with rage. Pointing at Li Feng, he stammered, speechless.
