Sun Xipeng’s face was ashen, his heart consumed by unprecedented rage.
He never imagined things would escalate to this point. Had he known Li Feng would be so ruthless, he would never have provoked him. Hu Yuanyuan was beautiful, but she wasn’t worth more than Sun Corporation. With money, what beauty couldn’t he have?
But now, the shares were in the hands of the company’s executives. If they chose to sell, no one could stop them. With Li Feng’s generous offer, who wouldn’t be tempted by such immense profit? If Sun Corporation weren’t his own creation, he might have sold his shares to Li Feng too.
The thought of the executives selling their shares was unbearable. If Li Feng acquired them, he would control Sun Corporation entirely, and all of Sun Xipeng’s hard work would be handed to someone else.
“Everyone, think carefully. Li Feng is just a spoiled rich kid. Do you really believe he has the money to buy your shares? Impossible. He’s toying with you. Come on, stop wasting time here and get back to work,” Sun Xipeng said, his gaze fixed on Li Feng.
Li Feng smiled, “Young Master Sun, you’re quite the joker. If I didn’t have money, why would I come here to acquire Sun Corporation’s shares?”
He pulled out a cashier’s cheque and addressed the executives, “This is a three-billion-yuan cheque. I believe it’s more than enough to buy your shares.”
Seeing the cheque in Li Feng’s hand, Sun Xipeng’s mouth twitched. That cheque was the one he had given to Su Xin yesterday, now turned into a weapon against him.
Damn Su Xin!
Sun Xipeng cursed inwardly. If it weren’t for him, Li Feng wouldn’t be so arrogant now. He couldn’t understand why the mysterious Young Master Feng had sent such an idiot.
With three billion, he could have bought the executives’ shares himself. Even if he couldn’t turn the tables, he could at least stand equal to Li Feng. Now, he had no way to fight back.
The executives’ eyes lit up at the sight of the cheque. They knew that agreeing meant immediate cash.
“Everyone, have you decided? This is your only chance. After today, your shares might be worthless,” Li Feng said, then muttered to Xu Qing, “Assistant Xu, if I dumped all my shares on the stock market, how much do you think Sun Corporation’s stock would be worth?”
“Mr. Li, Sun Corporation’s stock is currently at twenty-three Hong Kong dollars. It might crash to under one,” Xu Qing said with a smile.
“One Hong Kong dollar is too high. I’ve got plenty of money. If Sun Corporation’s stock rises, I’ll smash it down until the company delists,” Li Feng added.
The executives’ faces paled at Li Feng and Xu Qing’s words. If Sun Corporation’s stock fell from twenty-three to under one Hong Kong dollar, theirshares would be worthless.
As executives, they knew Sun Corporation’s finances well. The company didn’t have enough funds to protect its stock price. They didn’t know Li Feng’s background, but with a three-billion cheque, he could absolutely do it.
To ordinary people, crashing the market would mean heavy losses, but who could fathom a rich man’s mind? To them, billions were just numbers.
The executives couldn’t sit still.
“Mr. Li, are you serious about buying our shares at a hundred twenty percent premium?” a middle-aged man, Lu Ping, stepped forward and asked.
“Lu Ping, what are you doing? Young Master Sun has treated you well. Are you betraying him?” Shen Changyu snapped.
Sun Xipeng’s gaze turned icy.
“My son needs to study abroad. I need the money,” Lu Ping said, lowering his headក
System: head sheepishly.
“Good, a wise man makes his way,” Li Feng praised. “You’re the first to sell your shares, so I’ll give you an extra five percent premium. Go sign the transfer agreement with Assistant Xu.”
“Thank you, Mr. Li,” Lu Ping said, overjoyed. His ten-million-yuan stake would gain an extra half-million, equivalent to a year’s salary. Any guilt toward Sun Xipeng vanished.
The other executives regretted not stepping forward first. Pride was worth nothing compared to money.
“Mr. Li, I’ll sell my shares.”
“Mr. Li…”
“Mr. Li…”
One by one, the executives stepped forward, eager to sell.
“Good. One at a time,” Li Feng nodded, satisfied. Except for Shen Changyu’s one percent, all the executives were willing to sell. With his original forty percent, he now held forty-nine percent of Sun Corporation’s shares.
“You… you’re betraying Young Master Sun! You’ll regret this!” Shen Changyu roared, furious.
“Shen Changyu, shut up. We’re selling our own shares. What’s it to you? Hmph, even if you offered your shares, Mr. Li wouldn’t want them,” Lu Ping sneered. Shen Changyu, always acting superior as Sun Xipeng’s lackey, had long irritated him.
“You…” Shen Changyu was speechless with rage.
“Li Feng, you’re ruthless,” Sun Xipeng said, taking a deep breath, a cold glint in his eyes.
“Haha, you flatter me, Young Master Sun,” Li Feng said with a smile. “Mr. Sun, I’m officially notifying you that, as the controlling shareholder, I’m dismissing you as Sun Corporation’s CEO.”
“Li Feng, on what grounds? I’m a shareholder too, and I don’t agree,” Shen Changyu jumped in.
“Hmph, who are you to speak to me like that? I, Li Feng, don’t need your approval to do anything,” Li Feng sneered. A clown like Shen Changyu dared to challenge him? If he didn’t know his place, Li Feng wouldn’t mind dealing with him too.
“You…” Shen Changyu glared at Li Feng, eyes flashing with menace.
“Li Feng, you win this time,” Sun Xipeng said, clenching his fists, veins bulging, a trace of murderous intent in his eyes. “Shen Changyu, go get that bottle of ’85 Lafite from my OFFICE. I want to celebrate Young Master Feng’s takeover of Sun Corporation here.”
“Yes.”
Shen Changyu left the meeting room with his head down, his eyes chillingly cold in the moment he stepped out.
Li Feng. I’ll make you pay!
