Martial Champion Chapter 3429

“Didn’t they say only those with Miss Tantai Xing’er’s invitation could enter?”

“A waste like him shouldn’t qualify, right?” someone asked.

“He’s a waste at martial cultivation, sure, but he’s got plenty of shady tricks. If he could escape the fire prison at Ice Summit Peak, sneaking in here’s no surprise,” Xu Morong said.

“Brother Xu, you gonna let the Tantai Clan deal with him, or handle this trash yourself?” one of Xu Morong’s buddies asked.

“Well, I’ve got to give my future woman some face,” Xu Morong replied with a sly grin. He turned to Gong Mingyue and shouted, “Little Sister Mingyue, that waste you’re engaged to is here!”

His voice boomed across the peach orchard, clear to everyone.

Where only a few had noticed Chu Feng before, now all eyes were on him.

“That jerk,” Wuma Shengjie muttered, itching to step forward and teach Xu Morong a lesson.

But before he could move, Chu Feng grabbed his wrist and said via private transmission, “Just a bunch of clowns. Let’s see how far they’ll jump.”

With that, Chu Feng flashed Wuma Shengjie a mischievous grin.

Seeing Chu Feng like this, Wuma Shengjie rolled his eyes but held back. Chu Feng’s words piqued his curiosity—he too wanted to see what Xu Morong and his crew would pull next.

Gong Mingyue and her group had no clue what Chu Feng and Wuma Shengjie were plotting. The moment she saw Chu Feng, her head started pounding.

Especially now, with everyone’s eyes on her, the pressure mounted.

She knew she had to make a choice today.

“That bastard dares to pester you still? I’ll drive him off,” a Gong Clan member said, stepping forward as if sensing her distress.

“No need,” Gong Mingyue raised a hand to stop him.

“Mingyue, you’re just gonna let him be?” the clansman asked.

“I’ll handle this myself,” Gong Mingyue replied. With everyone watching, she walked toward Chu Feng.

Gong Qing hurried after her, whispering, “Sis, that’s not… your fiancé, is it?”

“Mm,” Gong Mingyue nodded, too flustered to elaborate.

But that simple confirmation stunned Gong Qing. While Gong Mingyue had been the one stressing, now Gong Qing’s head was spinning too.

One was her sister, who’d been by her side since childhood; the other was the benefactor who’d saved Little Thorn. She didn’t want them to become enemies.

But if forced to choose, she’d stand with Gong Mingyue. So, she stopped following and stood still, unsure what to do.

“Chu Feng, some things need to be cleared up sooner or later. Let’s settle it today,” Gong Mingyue said.

“Go ahead,” Chu Feng replied calmly.

“You and I are impossible. Stop bothering me from now on,” Gong Mingyue stated.

“Bothering?” Chu Feng chuckled. “You’ve got me all wrong.”

“Seems I wasn’t clear enough. Let me be blunt: the kind of man who’d catch my eye has top-tier character and cultivation—not a lowlife like you,” Gong Mingyue pressed.

At that, Wuma Shengjie’s eyes flashed with anger, but Chu Feng showed no trace of it. Instead, a smile spread across his face.

Chu Feng was smiling because he found Gong Mingyue genuinely amusing.

The crowd, though, didn’t see it that way.

“He’s still laughing? Does this guy have no shame? This must be the pinnacle of shamelessness!”

“Utterly disgraceful!”

Many hurled insults at Chu Feng.

“Sister!”

Just then, a figure darted to Gong Mingyue’s side.

“Hey, kid, fancy meeting you again! How’s your little hedgehog doing?” Chu Feng waved at Gong Qing with a grin.

But Gong Mingyue shot him a fierce glare before turning to Gong Qing. “Xiao Qing, you know him?”

Her tone was off—like she was waiting for Gong Qing to deny it, ready to pounce on Chu Feng if she did.

Sadly, Gong Qing’s answer let her down.

“Yeah, Sister. He’s… the one I told you about—the expert who taught me the array to heal Little Thorn,” Gong Qing said.

“What?”

“Wait—this waste is the ‘expert’ that girl mentioned?!”

Not just Gong Mingyue and the Gong Clan, but everyone else was floored.

Before this, no one had seriously connected Gong Qing’s “expert” with Chu Feng.

But if Chu Feng really was that expert…

He wasn’t a waste.

“It’s really him?” Gong Mingyue asked.

“Sister, it’s really him,” Gong Qing confirmed.

“If it’s him, then he must’ve tricked you. How could someone like him have that kind of skill?” Gong Mingyue said.

Her stance wasn’t just twisting facts—she genuinely believed it.

Deep down, she despised Chu Feng, convinced he was beneath her. Anything impressive couldn’t possibly be his doing. If it was linked to him, it had to be a scam.

“But Sister, Little Thorn’s healed—that’s a fact,” Gong Qing tried to explain.

“Enough, Xiao Qing. You’re my sister—I don’t want you tied to this guy,” Gong Mingyue said sternly, then turned to Chu Feng.

“Chu Feng, I’ve said all I need to. Don’t pester me or my sister again, or you’ll regret it,” she warned.

“Miss Mingyue, can I say something?” Chu Feng finally spoke.

“I didn’t come here for you—there’s no ‘pestering’ involved.”

“Also, that engagement? My clan’s patriarch never even mentioned it to me. If the Wuma Clan’s patriarch hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have known.”

“And frankly, you’re not my type either. So… you’ve got it all wrong. Even if you agreed, it’d still be three words for us.”

“No.”

“Way.”

“In.”

!!!

“What? No way in?!”

Chu Feng’s words stunned the crowd—especially Gong Mingyue.

She stood there, facing him, her expression a mask of awkwardness.

She could reject others no problem, but being rejected? That stung. And Chu Feng had just done it publicly, in front of everyone. It left her reeling, humiliated.

*So this waste didn’t even want me?*

*Looked down on by a waste…*

The more she thought, the worse Gong Mingyue felt.

Clap—Clap—Clap—

“Well done, brilliantly done!”

Suddenly, applause broke out. Xu Morong approached Chu Feng, flanked by his posse of cronies.

“Master Chu Feng, you’ve really opened my eyes today—a perfect showcase of shamelessness at its peak,” Xu Morong sneered.
