“Then, Senior, how should I address you?” Song Ge asked.
“No need for ‘Senior,’ just call me Shura,” Chu Feng said with a smile.
“Shura?” Song Ge paused at the name, then said, “That’s quite a unique name.”
“Are you also thinking I should add ‘World Spiritist’ after Shura?” Chu Feng asked, chuckling.
“Has someone said that before?” Song Ge asked.
“Of course,” Chu Feng replied.
“Please don’t take offence, Senior. I didn’t mean to mock you. It’s just that ‘Shura’ immediately brings to mind a Shura World Spiritist,” Song Ge explained.
“No worries, but… can you stop calling me Senior? I told you, I’m younger than you,” Chu Feng said.
“Sorry, Senior, I… no, no, I mean Shura,” Song Ge said, flustered.
Seeing her embarrassment, Chu Feng waved it off with a smile, “Call me whatever you like, as long as you’re happy. It doesn’t matter.”
“Then I’ll stick with Senior Shura. Though you’re younger, you’re my saviour. Calling you by name alone feels disrespectful,” Song Ge said. “But, Senior Shura, this Ma Liang’s identity isn’t simple. Yunyao Cave Heaven is the strongest sect in this region, and its leader is a Fourth-Rank Venerable. Yunyao Cave Heaven acts domineeringly, unreasonably, and even Water Mirror Cave Heaven avoids provoking them. Killing him could bring trouble if word gets out.”
“No matter, I’m not afraid of them,” Chu Feng said nonchalantly.
Hearing this, Song Ge’s expression shifted. She realised Chu Feng might be even more formidable than she’d imagined, considering Yunyao Cave Heaven was an untouchable giant in her eyes.
“Though Senior Shura doesn’t care about Yunyao Cave Heaven, I think you shouldn’t be entangled in unnecessary trouble. We should destroy the body and cover our tracks. Would you agree, Senior?” Song Ge asked.
Chu Feng realised that, despite Song Ge’s delicate appearance, she was quite ruthless.
“I was thinking the same, but seeing you were shaken, I held off. Since you agree, let’s do it,” Chu Feng said. With a wave of his sleeve, a cloud of dust rose.
Song Ge’s face paled with fear.
She realised the dust wasn’t ordinary but Ma Liang’s body, disintegrated.
Chu Feng had destroyed the body with a mere wave, and his calm demeanour showed he was seasoned and decisive.
Afterwards, Chu Feng and Song Ge talked for a long time.
Under Chu Feng’s lead, Song Ge relaxed, no longer constantly addressing him as Senior with awe.
She began treating him like a peer, calling him Shura directly.
Chu Feng shared that he wasn’t from the Zhutian Starfield and was here for certain matters.
As for Song Ge, Chu Feng learned she grew up with her mother, not knowing her father.
Yet Song Ge deeply wished to meet him one day.
She harboured no resentment for her father abandoning them.
Song Ge even mentioned recently feeling as if someone was watching her.
Chu Feng smiled, “Maybe it’s not an illusion. Perhaps your father is secretly observing you?”
“My father? Impossible. If he’s alive and willing to acknowledge me, why wouldn’t he meet me?” Song Ge shook her head with a bitter smile.
In her view, it was just an illusion, not her father watching her.
“Maybe he has his reasons?” Chu Feng suggested.
“If it really is my father, that would be wonderful,” Song Ge said.
“Song Ge, if your father acknowledges you, would you resent him?” Chu Feng asked.
“Of course not. My parents gave me life, the greatest gift. What right do I have to resent him just because he didn’t raise me or stay with me?” Song Ge replied.
“If everyone thought like you, the world would be better,” Chu Feng said. “Have you told your mother this?”
“No, my mother refuses to talk about my father. She hates him, so I never mention him or say I want to meet him,” Song Ge said.
“I see,” Chu Feng said, understanding.
He felt that Tang Old Monster, Song Ge’s father, must have reasons for not acknowledging her.
But Tang surely wanted to. He might fear Song Ge rejecting or blaming him.
Since Song Ge was so open-minded, Tang could reunite with her.
Of course, this was Chu Feng’s guess. Tang might have other reasons.
Still, Chu Feng felt compelled to tell Tang, letting him know his daughter was waiting for him.
Tang’s time was running out. If they didn’t reunite, they might never get the chance.
Whether Tang chose to acknowledge Song Ge was his decision.
After chatting more, Chu Feng took Song Ge to a safe area and left.
Before parting, he told her not to mention meeting him to anyone.
Song Ge agreed.
After leaving, Chu Feng went to find Tang Old Monster.
He thought sharing this would be good news, and Tang wouldn’t trouble him further.
“Come in,” Tang’s voice called from the blacksmith shop before Chu Feng could speak.
Chu Feng was surprised.
With Tang’s cultivation, sensing his arrival was normal.
But his tone had shifted dramatically, not angry but gentle, as if he’d been waiting for Chu Feng.
Entering the shop, Chu Feng was even more shocked.
Tang had prepared a table of food and wine, with two sets of bowls and chopsticks, the wine already poured.
“Sit, let’s talk,” Tang gestured to Chu Feng.
Chu Feng sat, now certain Tang had been waiting for him.
Though unsure why Tang’s attitude had changed, Chu Feng knew Tang had something to say.
