Martial Champion Chapter 3976

Chu Feng deduced that the bead, though dangerous, was a challenge he had to face.

If he didn’t confront it, even if he didn’t help the fox spirit unlock it, he would die.

Where would he die?

Perhaps at the entrance, where a deadly trap awaited.

Or perhaps by some other means.

In any case, Chu Feng was almost certain that challenging the bead was the only path forward.

And it had to be successful.

Otherwise, there was no chance of survival.

How did Chu Feng know this? It came to him just moments ago.

When the bead opened the barrier gate and the suction force emerged, he had this realisation.

Though the suction was immense, Chu Feng could sense a fragment of the atmosphere within that world through the gate.

It was terrifying, yet there was a peculiar aura, like a summons. His intuition told him the bead was the endpoint of this stone box world.

This led to his conjecture.

Chu Feng wasn’t sure if the fox spirit knew this.

But it didn’t matter, as long as he knew.

Once he understood, there was no choice to make.

He could only challenge the bead.

“Young Master, that spirit robe is quite a treasure.”

Suddenly, the fox spirit’s voice rang out.

Chu Feng noticed she was staring at his Nine Dragons Saint Robe.

The robe was on him, invisible when its power wasn’t active.

But when Chu Feng unleashed its power, the robe would manifest.

From the fox spirit’s gaze, he saw greed.

She seemed very interested in his robe.

“Miss, what did you do with the bodies of those who died outside?”

Chu Feng asked her.

He asked because there were no corpses here.

He figured the fox spirit must have dealt with them.

“If you come out safely, I’ll tell you,” she replied.

Seeing this, Chu Feng asked no more.

He withdrew the power resisting the suction and let himself be pulled in.

Rumble.

As Chu Feng entered that world, he felt as if he’d fallen into a vast starry sky.

But this world, though immense, had no starlight, only countless terrifying forces raging between heaven and earth.

Each force was like a bizarre, colossal dragon, too vast to measure, filling the boundless world.

The moment Chu Feng entered, those forces seemed to sense prey.

In the blink of an eye, he was ensnared by them, dragged into the depths of that terrifying world.

Meanwhile, the fox spirit closely observed the bead.

“This little guy analysed so well earlier, I thought he had some great skills. But once inside, he’s just swallowed by those forces, isn’t he?”

“Whatever, I’ll wait an hour.”

After observing, she lay on the bed.

The barrier gate on the bead remained open, but it seemed to have no effect on her.

Lying there, her posture was alluring.

Gone was her earlier demureness; her casual air now made her seem like the master of this place.

Perhaps out of boredom or habit, she toyed with her tail, playing like a cat.

Occasionally, she glanced at the bead.

But now, she could no longer spot Chu Feng within it.

Suddenly, a smile curved her lips.

“That little guy’s spirit robe isn’t bad. If I could devour it, my power might unseal significantly.”

“Thinking about it, even if he dies in there, it’s not bad.”

“I’ve waited years; a bit longer won’t hurt.”

She spoke openly, likely knowing Chu Feng couldn’t hear her.

Time flew, and an hour passed.

“No treasure’s been spat out yet. Is that little guy still alive?”

The fox spirit stood, closely inspecting the bead.

Its suction persisted, her long hair dancing wildly in its pull.

Yet she stood steady, unaffected by the force.

“Not dead after an hour? He’s got some skill.”

“I’ll wait a bit longer then.”

“After an hour and a half, there’ll be results.”

She lay back on the bed.

Soon, another half-hour passed.

This time, she stood again, disappointment on her face.

“No one can survive an hour and a half in there.”

“Like that guy back then, he died inside, but his treasures weren’t spat out.”

“Probably reached some region, so even in death, his treasures stayed with him.”

“What a pity. I waited so long and got nothing.”

Her words dripped with disappointment.

Still, she opened her palm, releasing her unique bloodline power.

This time, she aimed to close the bead’s barrier gate.

To end it all.

“What’s this?”

But soon after releasing her power, disbelief flashed in her eyes.

“Why can’t I close it?”

“Could that guy still be alive?”

“Alive after an hour and a half?”

Shock filled her eyes. She studied the bead intently, her gaze shifting as if using a special observation technique.

Yet, no matter how she looked, she couldn’t find Chu Feng.

Because he was now deep within the bead’s world.

Still entangled by countless forces.

But those forces were now retreating.

Finally, Chu Feng’s figure fully emerged.

His eyes were closed, his breathing steady, as if deeply asleep.

Swish.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes.

The moment he did, he changed dramatically.

No longer calm, he was visibly agitated, panting, his face full of fear.

He seemed gripped by extreme terror.

“Where am I?”

“What is this place?”

Looking around, Chu Feng’s expression was one of unfamiliarity.

But he didn’t dwell on it. Instead, he scanned his surroundings, shouting loudly.

“Wang Qiang, Wang Qiang!”

He called Wang Qiang’s name repeatedly, his eyes shifting from fear to worry.

In this savage world, filled with clashing, writhing forces, there was no one else, let alone Wang Qiang.

“Why does this place feel familiar?”

After observing, Chu Feng’s gaze changed.

Suddenly, his expression shifted dramatically.

“I remember!”

He exclaimed, instinctively looking at his right hand.
