“Oh no!!!”
“That vortex is about to suck in Ruyi Castle.”
As they watched Ruyi Castle move toward the black vortex, Master Tangchen and Fairy Muzhi’s first instinct was that the castle was being pulled in.
So, almost simultaneously, they sprang into action, each using their own techniques, trying to pull Ruyi Castle back.
But to their dismay, despite their combined strength, they couldn’t affect Ruyi Castle in the slightest.
They couldn’t even slow it down. The castle’s movement toward the vortex didn’t falter one bit.
This made Master Tangchen and Fairy Muzhi even more panicked.
At that moment, they felt the vast gap in power.
Even they, compared to the vortex’s force, were far inferior.
“Old fool, aren’t you going to help?” Master Tangchen shouted at Old Taoist Niubi in his urgency.
After all, Chu Feng was still inside Ruyi Castle, and Chu Feng was Niubi’s disciple.
Even Fairy Muzhi was so worried about Chu Feng’s safety, yet Old Taoist Niubi stood there as if watching a show.
This made Master Tangchen furious.
“What are you two doing? Come down!” Old Taoist Niubi not only refused to help but even told Master Tangchen and the others to stop.
“What are we doing? We’re saving Chu Feng, obviously! What nonsense are you spouting?” Master Tangchen gritted his teeth in anger, roaring under his rage.
But just then, the voice of Old Man Ruyi came from within Ruyi Castle.
“Everyone, don’t worry. I’m taking Chu Feng to handle something. We’ll be back soon.”
Hearing this, everyone was stunned.
They realised something shocking.
“What’s going on? Is that vortex caused by Old Man Ruyi?” Fairy Muzhi watched, wide-eyed with astonishment, as Ruyi Castle entered the vortex.
Even Master Tangchen was dumbfounded.
“Do you even need to ask? It’s obviously his doing,” Old Taoist Niubi said again.
“My heavens, it really was Old Man Ruyi. Does he have such power? We underestimated him. He’s such a formidable existence.”
Though people had suspected it, Old Taoist Niubi’s words confirmed their guesses.
But for everyone, this was earth-shattering news.
Clearly, they hadn’t truly known Old Man Ruyi before. His strength was so immense it was indescribable.
He was a hidden master.
“Old fool, you knew all along it was Old Man Ruyi’s doing?” Master Tangchen flew down, questioning Old Taoist Niubi.
“Of course. Who else here could do it? He’s the heir of Ruyi Castle,” Old Taoist Niubi replied.
“You already saw that Old Man Ruyi was hiding his strength?” Master Tangchen asked.
“He never hid it. He just never fully revealed it,” Old Taoist Niubi said.
This made Master Tangchen realise how little he truly knew about Old Man Ruyi.
But it wasn’t his fault. Apart from Old Taoist Niubi, almost no one in the entire Holy Light Galaxy realised Old Man Ruyi was such a terrifying figure.
Under the shocked gazes of the crowd, Ruyi Castle completely vanished into the massive barrier gate.
“It was Old Man Ruyi. So, he’s the hidden master,” Fumo Xin’er said.
“No, it’s not him,” Lord Gusu stated.
“Lord Gusu, it’s not that old man?” Fumo Xin’er was surprised.
“Indeed not, because that person’s aura is still here, meaning they haven’t left,” Lord Gusu said.
“What? So, besides Old Man Ruyi, there’s another master? Could it be the lord of the Ancient Spirit Domain? The one who passed the inheritance to Chu Feng?” Fumo Xin’er asked.
“Xin’er, how did you get so slow? Haven’t you realised the Ancient Spirit Domain has no lord? It was all orchestrated by that hidden master. And I can confirm, this is a contemporary martial cultivator, not someone from ancient times,” Lord Gusu said.
“A contemporary martial cultivator? So, someone has long controlled the Ancient Spirit Domain but didn’t take the inheritance, deliberately setting up this scheme? What are they after?” Fumo Xin’er’s face was full of shock, completely beyond her expectations.
“It seems we’ve underestimated the Holy Light Galaxy. The Holy Light Clan, as rulers, may be lacklustre, but there are quite a few hidden masters in the galaxy,” Young Master Fumo said with a smile.
“Young Master, could they be our enemies?” Fumo Xin’er was a bit worried.
She felt the Holy Light Galaxy, long in decline, shouldn’t have such powerful masters. So, she suspected those masters came from other galaxies.
Whatever their purpose, she hoped they weren’t targeting her group.
“Probably not. It feels like their target is more likely Chu Feng,” Young Master Fumo said.
“Chu Feng?” Hearing this, Fumo Xin’er’s worry didn’t lessen but grew.
If those people were their enemies, they at least had a fighting chance. Both Lord Gusu and her young master were incredibly powerful.
But Chu Feng was different. Though his talent was undeniable, growing up in a barren land with scarce resources, his progress was slower. Compared to the masters of the vast martial world, he was still too weak.
If someone even Lord Gusu couldn’t handle was targeting Chu Feng, he was in real danger.
“Young Master, what do we do now?” Fumo Xin’er asked.
“Let’s find Chu Feng first.” As Young Master Fumo spoke, he flew toward the vortex.
Seeing this, Lord Gusu grabbed Fumo Xin’er and followed.
The vortex was formidable. Even with Fumo Xin’er’s cultivation, she couldn’t enter alone. Only with Lord Gusu’s help could she make it.
…
Passing through the massive barrier gate, Ruyi Castle arrived above the Nine Dragons Anomaly Ridge.
Returning to the Nine Dragons Anomaly Ridge, Chu Feng was filled with emotion.
When he first came here, it was to compete for the Ancestral Martial Ten Stars ranking. Back then, his cultivation was weak, and he couldn’t match Linghu Hongfei. It was only with Yu Sha’s help, fighting Linghu Hongfei to a draw, that Chu Feng earned a shared first place in the Ancestral Martial Ten Stars.
In truth, not much time had passed since then.
But now, Chu Feng was a different person.
He had long surpassed the Ancestral Martial Starfield. The geniuses of that starfield could no longer compare to him.
Among his generation, only those from the Upper Starfields could likely rival him.
Even Lü Jie, hailed as the strongest junior spiritist in the Holy Light Galaxy, had been defeated by Chu Feng.
“What do they want me to do? The answer should be revealed now. Come on, show me your true face.”
After saying this, Chu Feng flew downward, heading straight for the depths of the Nine Dragons Anomaly Ridge.
Entering its depths was no easy task.
But for Chu Feng, now with Supreme cultivation and mastery of the second level of the Dragon Transformation Sense, nothing here could stop him.
The only threat to him was that mysterious existence.
