This world was barren, with no grass, no sky, and no ground.
The endless red that stretched across every corner, coupled with the pungent smell of blood in the air, made this place feel extremely eerie and even terrifying.
But Chu Feng had no time to pay attention to any of that.
Because not far away, he had already spotted Song Yun.
However, black flames now surrounded her.
Those black flames extended from the space around her, like countless tentacles wrapping around her body.
The black flames continued to multiply. The more they entwined her, the deeper the pain on Song Yun’s face became.
At that moment, black flames also began appearing in the surrounding space.
Seeing this, Chu Feng hurriedly tried to dodge, only to discover that the black flames were incredibly fast. He could neither evade nor sever them.
Even his boundary techniques could not block the black flames.
Once they wrapped around him, Chu Feng could still move, but he felt the power within his body being rapidly drained. The more black flames that coiled around him, the faster they sucked it away.
“This Holy Healing Bead is actually so dangerous?”
Chu Feng’s brows furrowed tightly. He had no way at all to free himself from these black flames.
Most terrifying of all, no matter how he sensed or observed, he could not figure out how to escape this place.
Seeing Song Yun grow increasingly weak and finally fall unconscious, Chu Feng desperately rushed to her side, holding her tightly in his arms. He wanted to shield her with his own body.
This was an act of desperation, yet unexpectedly, it worked.
Black flames kept surging forth, coiling endlessly around Chu Feng, but Song Yun, cradled in his embrace, was spared.
However, as the black flames increased, the suction force enveloping Chu Feng became utterly horrifying.
Chu Feng felt as though his body was about to be completely hollowed out by them.
If this continued, he feared he would perish here.
Yet he was powerless. He did not know how to escape this predicament.
Soon, the weakened Chu Feng also fell into a coma.
As for Song Yun, she had long since lost consciousness.
“Delicious. Truly delicious.”
“I never imagined I would encounter something so delicious.”
Suddenly, a sinister voice echoed from the surrounding space.
Then, a black silhouette emerged from within the void.
The creature stood hundreds of metres tall, its form resembling a crab, but with tens of thousands of black tentacles.
It turned out that the earlier black flames were this monster’s tentacles.
Though previously they had been gaseous, now they were solid.
The monster had no eyes, only a massive mouth lined with blood-red fangs.
Opening its gaping maw, it rapidly moved towards Chu Feng and Song Yun, intent on swallowing them whole.
Yet who could have expected that, as it drew near, Song Yun, who had been unconscious, suddenly opened her eyes.
“At last, you have shown yourself.”
Upon seeing the monster, Song Yun showed no fear. Instead, a smile appeared on her face.
“You!”
Seeing that smile, the monster seemed to realise something. Its body twisted as it tried to retreat back into the void.
“Humph.”
Song Yun let out a cold snort. Then she vanished.
When she reappeared, she was behind the monster. Her entire body had become like a sharp sword, piercing straight through its form.
Aaargh.
Amidst waves of anguished howls, a huge hole appeared in the monster’s body. Green liquid sprayed out continuously, and its wails echoed without end.
The monster swayed unsteadily, clearly desperate to flee but unsure where to go.
“You wretched thing. You actually ambushed this exalted one. You ambushed this exalted one!”
The monster cursed furiously at Song Yun.
But Song Yun ignored it completely, focusing instead on the object in her hand.
It was a golden bead.
Swish.
Suddenly, the bead in her hand released a vast suction force.
Aaargh.
The black monster let out even more miserable screams. Its flesh began to tear apart, forcibly drawn into the bead.
Soon, the entire monster was sucked into the golden bead.
Song Yun swallowed the golden bead. Immediately afterwards, a strange power burst forth from within her body.
Grabbing Chu Feng, she vanished into the void.
Though it seemed she had entered the void, in reality, she had left the world of the Holy Healing Bead.
When Chu Feng and Song Yun reappeared, they were back on the grassy area from before.
The weed-like Holy Healing Bead remained there, but now it had withered, as if its life had reached its end.
Song Yun supported Chu Feng onto the grass.
At this moment, Chu Feng looked extremely frail, even frightening.
His body resembled a desiccated corpse. Almost all flesh had vanished, leaving only wrinkled skin clinging tightly to his bones.
Yet gazing at Chu Feng in this state, Song Yun showed no disgust. Her eyes were filled only with heartache.
“Thanks to you, I was able to obtain this Holy Healing Bead.”
“You have done me a great favour. I will not let you die.”
After saying this, Song Yun’s appearance shifted, returning to her true form.
Then, she did something astonishing. She lowered her head and kissed Chu Feng.
Miraculously, as her lips met his, Chu Feng’s withered body began to recover. Soon, he returned to his original appearance.
Not only was his flesh intact, but his complexion became rosy. Apart from still being unconscious, he looked even better than before entering the world of the Holy Healing Bead.
Only after Chu Feng had recovered did Song Yun stop kissing him.
She opened her mouth, and the golden bead taken from the black monster fell into her hand.
The aura flowing from the golden bead was identical to the one now emanating from Chu Feng.
It turned out that Song Yun had used this golden bead to save him.
After saving Chu Feng, Song Yun did not rush to wake him. Instead, she sat obediently by his side, reaching out with her fair hand to gently stroke his cheek.
The gesture was deeply intimate.
“I thought no one in this world could move my heart.”
“Who would have thought I would meet you.”
As she caressed his cheek and gazed at him, a rare gentleness appeared in her clear eyes.
“Oh my, oh my. What have I discovered here?”
“Not only the legendary Holy Healing Bead, but also such a delectable little beauty.”
At that moment, a voice sounded from behind.
It was actually Yin Tianchou.
“This fellow is truly impressive. He even managed to obtain the Holy Healing Bead.”
“I have heard that the world inside the Holy Healing Bead is extremely terrifying. Those who enter never return.”
“Even Old Demon Black Fiend could do nothing about it. Yet you two actually acquired it.”
“But if I am not mistaken, it was thanks to that fellow, right?”
“He really does have some skill.”
Yin Tianchou said as he looked at Chu Feng.
“How did you find this place?”
Song Yun finally turned to look at him.
Yin Tianchou did not answer. Instead, he reached out and grasped.
Swish.
An object flew out from Chu Feng’s embrace. It was the silver bowl.
The bowl shot forth and landed in Yin Tianchou’s hand.
“In our earlier confrontation, that fellow must have thought he won.”
“Little did he know, I deliberately left this treasure behind.”
“This treasure has formed a contract with me. As long as the distance is not too great, I can sense it.”
“I originally planned to find an opportunity to teach him a lesson. I never expected to encounter such a delicacy instead.”
Yin Tianchou said with a broad smile.
“You want to seize my Holy Healing Bead?”
Song Yun toyed with the golden bead in her hand as she asked.
“No, no, no. I have no interest in such treasures. The delicacy I speak of is you, young lady.”
As he spoke, Yin Tianchou even licked his lips with a grin.
His appearance was like a starving wolf that had caught a little white rabbit, so excited that drool was nearly dripping.
“Is that so?”
Yet who could have expected that, faced with such a Yin Tianchou, Song Yun showed no panic. Instead, a smile appeared on her beautiful, youthful face.
Seeing that smile, Yin Tianchou’s expression changed slightly.
He could not quite explain it, but upon seeing Song Yun’s smile, he inexplicably felt a surge of unease.
