Hatred?
Of course, Chu Tianxing harbored hatred. Nearly seventy to eighty percent of the Great Chu clan had been slaughtered—how could he not hate, how could he not want revenge?
But he had no other choice!
Seeking vengeance could lead to the clan’s annihilation!
After a long silence, Chu Tianxing shook his head slightly. “Focus on developing War Desolation City!”
With that, he turned and left.
War Desolation City!
Great Chu had already secured War Desolation City, establishing a foothold there. However, losing control over the Other Shore Star was a severe blow. After all, Great Chu had earned substantial cosmic divine veins from the Other Shore Star each year!
Now, the Other Shore Star was dominated by the Immortal Treasure Pavilion and Guanxuan Academy!
Chu Tianxing sighed softly.
Chu Nan had committed a grave sin!
If he weren’t a Heart Realm Breaker, he’d deserve death!
…
Somewhere in the starry sky, Ye Xuan and Qin Guan stood before a massive teleportation array.
Ye Xuan turned to Qin Guan. “We’re going now?”
Qin Guan nodded. “We can take a look!”
Ye Xuan asked, “Has your technological path broken through?”
Qin Guan nodded.
Ye Xuan blinked. “Can I see it?”
Qin Guan’s lips curved slightly. “Plenty of chances later!”
Ye Xuan smiled wryly. “Alright!”
Qin Guan said, “Little Xuan, let’s go!”
They stepped into the teleportation array. As they entered, a voice echoed, “Please authorize!”
Qin Guan glanced at Ye Xuan, who hesitated before saying, “I authorize?”
Qin Guan smiled. “Give it a try!”
Ye Xuan nodded. “I authorize!”
The voice responded, “Authorization successful!”
*Boom!*
The array trembled violently, and the next moment, they vanished into the starry sky.
…
Inside the spatial teleportation channel, Ye Xuan and Qin Guan sped through at incredible speed.
Ye Xuan glanced at Qin Guan, noticing she wasn’t using any external tools yet seemed completely unaffected!
Could this rich lady really not cultivate?
He wanted to ask but held back.
Qin Guan suddenly said, “Our destination is the edge of Ancient Desolation, a very remote area compared to the whole region!”
Ye Xuan, curious, asked, “How big is Ancient Desolation?”
Qin Guan thought for a moment. “My people haven’t figured out its exact size, but I can confirm that the Other Shore Star is like a drop of water in the ocean compared to Ancient Desolation!”
Ye Xuan was stunned.
Qin Guan smiled. “Shocked?”
Ye Xuan nodded, saying gravely, “It’s that vast?”
Qin Guan nodded slightly. “That place is essentially the endpoint of our parallel world and the pinnacle of our parallel universe’s martial civilization!”
Ye Xuan looked at her. “Will we become insignificant there?”
Qin Guan laughed. “We don’t know yet!”
Ye Xuan shook his head with a smile.
Qin Guan said softly, “Little Xuan, this world is never fair. The stronger you are, the more exceptional you can be. You get what I mean?”
Ye Xuan glanced at her and nodded.
Qin Guan smiled. “We both need to work hard. I’ll strive to achieve my goals, and you should aim to be as outstanding as those three swords.”
Ye Xuan grinned. “Deal!”
He had to keep pushing—lazing around wasn’t his style!
Of course, he’d still call for help when needed!
Qin Guan suddenly said, “We’re here!”
Ye Xuan snapped out of his thoughts and looked ahead. A white light appeared in the distance.
They soon plunged into the white light.
*Boom!*
The teleportation channel closed instantly.
Ye Xuan slowly opened his eyes. He was now standing before an ancient city—small, dilapidated, and desolate.
Qin Guan smiled. “Guanxuan City!”
Ye Xuan froze. “Guanxuan City?”
Qin Guan nodded. “It’s an abandoned ruin, nearly empty, perfect for our base!”
Ye Xuan glanced around, his brow furrowing as he noticed countless skeletal remains scattered outside the city!
Qin Guan explained, “We investigated. This place is near the Demon Beast Mountain Range, where beasts often raid the surroundings. No faction wants to claim it, so it became an empty city over time!”
Ye Xuan asked, “Are the Demon Beast Mountain Range’s creatures strong?”
Qin Guan blinked. “Don’t know yet!”
She patted his shoulder. “Little Xuan, remember: we don’t start trouble, but we’re not afraid of it!”
Ye Xuan laughed heartily.
Qin Guan led him into the city. An old man hurried over, bowing respectfully. “Greetings, Pavilion Master, Young Master Ye!”
Qin Guan smiled at Ye Xuan. “This is Old Zeng. He’ll oversee the management and development of this city.”
Ye Xuan smiled at Old Zeng. “Hello, Old Zeng!”
Old Zeng quickly said, “Young Master Ye, just call me Old Zeng!”
Qin Guan smiled. “Old Zeng, tell us about Ancient Desolation!”
Old Zeng nodded, his expression growing serious. “Pavilion Master, this place is no simple matter. Let me explain in detail!”
Qin Guan nodded. “Go ahead!”
Old Zeng said, “Let’s find a quieter spot!”
Qin Guan agreed. “Lead the way!”
Old Zeng brought them to a small tavern—empty but clean.
As Ye Xuan and Qin Guan sat, Qin Guan said to Old Zeng, “Sit!”
Old Zeng quickly shook his head. “I’ll stand!”
He produced a fine bottle of wine and two bowls, pouring for them.
Qin Guan smiled. “Tell us!”
Old Zeng nodded and took out a map. He said gravely, “Pavilion Master, Young Master Ye, we’re at the edge of Ancient Desolation, an extremely remote area. Various factions from different universes gather here for two reasons. First, this is the endpoint of the parallel universe and the pinnacle of its martial path—further progress requires coming here. Second, there are legendary dimensional crystals!”
Ye Xuan frowned. “Dimensional crystals?”
Old Zeng nodded. “A very special crystal. Consuming one boosts cultivation. There are four types: low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, and supreme-grade. It’s said a supreme-grade crystal can add three hundred years of cultivation!”
Three hundred years!
Ye Xuan glanced at Qin Guan, who smiled. “He’s right. A supreme-grade crystal can add at least three hundred years. Beyond that, there’s a special type—purple dimensional crystals, called Crystal Kings. One can add at least a thousand years of cultivation!”
Ye Xuan said softly, “That powerful?”
Qin Guan nodded. “These crystals aren’t from our parallel universe but from dimensional universes, containing pure dimensional divine power, which can greatly enhance our cultivation!”
Old Zeng nodded. “Very precious. Many powerhouses come here for these crystals!”
Ye Xuan asked, “How do we get them?”
Old Zeng was about to answer when the space around them trembled violently. Ye Xuan frowned, instinctively gripping his Qingxuan Sword.
The three looked up to see countless cracks forming in the sky. A massive object emerged, and its bottom opened, spilling out heaps of miscellaneous items.
Ye Xuan was puzzled, but suddenly, roars echoed from all directions as countless powerhouses surged toward the scattered items!
Ye Xuan frowned. “What’s that?”
Old Zeng said gravely, “Garbage!”
“Huh?” Ye Xuan looked at him. “Garbage?”
Old Zeng explained softly, “That’s garbage dumped from the dimensional universe. Among it might be fragmented dimensional crystals or damaged dimensional divine artifacts. In their universe, it’s trash, but here, it’s treasure! Lucky ones might find something valuable and trade it for dimensional divine crystals!”
Ye Xuan, silent for a moment, asked, “Why do they dump their garbage into our parallel universe?”
Old Zeng looked at him. “Many reasons, but one I know is they look down on our parallel universe—dumping is an insult.”
Ye Xuan gazed at the pile of garbage, his expression complex.
The crowd grew, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, fighting fiercely over the scraps.
Suddenly, Ye Xuan looked up at the massive garbage vessel. On its deck, a woman slowly walked to the edge.
She had long hair, with two strands framing her face, and wore a snow-white dress, cradling a small white pet that nestled in her arms, eyes half-closed.
The woman looked down at the crowd below, her expression indifferent.
Sensing something, she suddenly looked up, locking eyes with Ye Xuan in the city.
Seeing his gaze, her brow furrowed.
A man joined her, following her gaze to Ye Xuan.
The woman smiled faintly. “Interesting. He’s not scrambling for it… I want to see how much backbone he has. I love testing human nature!”
The man was puzzled. “What do you mean?”
She stepped forward, appearing instantly before Ye Xuan and Qin Guan.
Ye Xuan froze.
Qin Guan glanced at the woman’s chest, scoffed, and curled her lip in disdain.
The woman opened her palm, and a fist-sized crystal appeared on the table.
She looked at Ye Xuan. “Kneel, and this supreme-grade crystal is yours!”
Supreme-grade crystal!
At that moment, Qin Guan opened her palm, and a fist-sized purple crystal appeared on the table!
Seeing it, the woman froze.
Qin Guan stared at her. “Kneel, and this Crystal King is yours!”
Ye Xuan and Old Zeng were stunned!
The rich lady had a Crystal King?
Qin Guan suddenly laughed. “Not enough?”
With a wave of her sleeve, ten Crystal Kings appeared before the woman. She stared at her. “Trying to insult us with money? Who do you think you are? Damn pauper!”
Ye Xuan: “…”
