Master Of The Blade Chapter 2569

Southern Emperor was in despair.

A sword pierced straight through her forehead.

Ye Xuan walked up to Southern Emperor, taking her storage ring. She looked at him. “Are you trying to humiliate me?”

Ye Xuan frowned. “What’s wrong with you?”

With that, he swung his sword.

Swish.

Southern Emperor’s head flew off.

Her body and soul were completely destroyed.

With Southern Emperor’s fall, all the powerhouses of the Defying Path Alliance in the field were dead.

Ye Xuan acquired dozens of storage rings, including over fifty million dimensional holy crystals and countless divine treasures.

He was rich.

Filthy rich.

At that moment, Qing’er turned to face the spirit of the Immortal-Slaying Formation on the platform. Its expression changed drastically. “That sword cultivator just said he wouldn’t kill me.”

Qing’er frowned. “He said that, not me.”

With that, she swung her sword.

Swish.

The spirit’s head flew off.

Its body and soul were annihilated.

The Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation also turned to nothingness at that moment.

Everything settled.

Ye Xuan turned to Qing’er, smiling. “It’s over.”

Qing’er nodded.

At that moment, a middle-aged man appeared nearby. It was the Heavenly Path of the New World.

The Heavenly Path bowed respectfully to Qing’er, his voice trembling. “Greetings, Lady Destiny.”

In that moment, he was terrified.

He feared Qing’er might end the entire New World with a single sword.

Ye Xuan suddenly said, “Senior Heavenly Path, thank you for searching everywhere to save me earlier.”

The Heavenly Path quickly replied, “No need to thank me.”

He gave a bitter smile. “Young Master Ye, forgive me. I couldn’t help much earlier.”

Ye Xuan smiled. “Your heart was enough.”

Qing’er said, “You can go now. My brother and I need some time alone.”

The Heavenly Path bowed respectfully again, then turned and left.

After he departed, Qing’er turned to Ye Xuan, sizing him up. “Outer Path?”

Ye Xuan nodded.

Qing’er smiled. “You’re close.”

Ye Xuan shook his head, chuckling. “In their eyes, I’m still like an ant.”

Qing’er shook her head. “Don’t think that way. How long have they lived? How long have you?”

Ye Xuan said gravely, “Qing’er, can you tell me what you’re working on?”

Qing’er replied, “I’m in another cosmic world.”

Ye Xuan frowned. “Another cosmic world?”

Qing’er nodded. “I’ve been studying something recently. It’s keeping me a bit busy.”

Ye Xuan smiled. “Then go do your thing. I can take care of myself now.”

Qing’er looked at him. “As long as you don’t feel your efforts are enough, just tell me.”

Ye Xuan’s expression froze.

Qing’er hugged him gently, saying softly, “If I’m invincible, doesn’t that mean you are too? Why tire yourself out?”

Ye Xuan hugged her back, chuckling. “I can’t always rely on you. I need to grow too. I hope one day I can protect you… I know it’s not very realistic, but I still have to try. I don’t want to be useless.”

Qing’er nodded slightly. “Alright. Whatever you do, I’ll support your decision.”

Ye Xuan smiled. “Thanks.”

Qing’er looked up at him. “Why say thanks between us siblings?”

Ye Xuan laughed. “True.”

Qing’er buried her head in his chest.

In that moment, she was no longer the invincible, aloof Lady Destiny. She was just Ye Xuan’s sister.

All her gentleness was reserved for one person.

An hour later, Qing’er left.

Ye Xuan gazed into the depths of the starry sky, lost in thought.

What was Qing’er researching?

What could be worth her attention?

After a moment of silence, Ye Xuan turned and left.

Now, he could establish the Guanxuan Academy in the New World.

The Guanxuan Universe, Ancient Wilderness, Dimensional Universe, New World.

These were the worlds he currently ruled.

Of course, he didn’t seek dominion. His goal was to change the entire universe.

The order of the mortal world.

That was Ye Xuan’s lifelong ambition: to establish a new order, one that all would follow.

Shortly after Ye Xuan left, a white-haired middle-aged man appeared in the field. He looked at the departing Ye Xuan, silent for a long time before whispering, “Backing King…”

His eyes flashed with a ferocious glint. “Wubian, what you couldn’t finish, I’ll complete.”

With that, he vanished.

Elsewhere, Wubian Lord, crossing the void, suddenly stopped. He glanced back and shook his head. “Gone.”

Behind him, Monk Wu asked, puzzled, “What do you mean?”

Wubian Lord said, “The Defying Heaven Path is gone.”

Monk Wu’s expression froze.

Wubian Lord sighed softly. “Those guys…”

His eyes held a complex emotion.

Back then, he had dealt with the Defying Heaven Path’s people. They weren’t friends, but they were acquaintances. Now, seeing them completely wiped out, he felt a pang of regret.

All those years of hard cultivation, gone just like that.

What a pity.

Monk Wu said gravely, “They’re all gone?”

Wubian shook his head. “Two are still alive.”

Monk Wu glanced at Wubian. “Wubian, can you tell us, how vast is this universe?”

Wubian looked up at the endless starry sky. “I don’t know.”

The two were stunned.

Wubian continued, “I once tried to explore this vast universe, crossing star domains for centuries, yet I never reached its end. But I gained much. In this boundless universe, there are many fascinating civilisations.”

Monk Wu asked, “Fascinating civilisations?”

Wubian nodded. “Where we’re headed next is the Star River Domain. There, a supreme powerhouse, the Star River Emperor, cultivates in a unique way. He draws power from time, residing within the River of Time, imperceptible to outsiders. Quite remarkable.”

Monk Wu immediately asked, “Compared to you?”

Wubian glanced at him. “Guess.”

Monk Wu gave an awkward smile, then said, “Wubian, can you give us a straight answer? Just how strong are you?”

Wubian walked off without answering.

Beside Monk Wu, Divinity asked, puzzled, “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Monk Wu was silent for a moment, then said, “No idea.”

Divinity: “…”

At that moment, the distant starry river began to churn. Soon, an ancient golden dragon slowly flew from the far reaches of the starry sky.

Its wings spanned a million zhang, its body a brilliant crimson-gold, radiating terrifying dragon might. Wherever it passed, the starry river trembled.

The three stopped.

Divinity stared at the approaching golden dragon, his expression grave.

Then they noticed a woman standing atop the dragon’s head.

She wore a purple gown, hands clasped behind her back, her long hair a pale blue.

At that moment, the golden dragon stopped. The purple-gowned woman looked at the three. “Who are you?”

Wubian Lord said calmly, “Wubian.”

The woman looked at him. “This is the Star River Domain. Outsiders may not enter without permission.”

Wubian thought for a moment, then raised his right hand and pressed downward.

Boom.

A terrifying pressure descended over the woman’s head, instantly causing the surrounding starry river to boil.

Seeing Wubian act, the golden dragon’s eyes flashed with ferocity. It roared, a wave of dragon might surging skyward.

Boom.

But as soon as the dragon might appeared, it was crushed. The overwhelming pressure enveloped the dragon.

Crack.

In an instant, the dragon’s body split open.

Seeing this, the woman’s face changed drastically. “You… you’re in the Divine Knowledge Realm.”

Wubian said calmly, “Don’t measure me by realms.”

With that, he walked off.

Monk Wu and Divinity hurriedly followed.

The woman clasped her fists. “Senior, I was rude earlier. Please forgive me.”

The Star River Domain indeed barred outsiders, but exceptions were made for those too powerful.

Wubian stopped and turned to her. “You’re no ordinary person. Why are you guarding the border?”

The woman quickly replied, “I made a mistake in the palace and was punished to guard the border.”

Wubian said softly, “Was it your ancestor Li Xinghe who sent you?”

Li Xinghe.

A flash of shock crossed the woman’s eyes. “Senior… you know my ancestor?”

Wubian smiled. “I once debated the path with him.”

The woman’s expression changed again, and she bowed deeply. “Junior greets Senior.”

Wubian smiled faintly. “You’re quite polite, young lady. You have a bright future.”

The woman respectfully asked, “Is Senior here to find my ancestor?”

Wubian nodded. “I’m just passing through, but since I’m here, I should see him. Is he still in the Time Realm?”

The woman nodded. “Yes, always has been.”

Her heart was overwhelmed with shock.

The Time Realm.

Fewer than five people knew her ancestor was in the Star River Domain. This man knew, clearly indicating he was truly acquainted with her ancestor.

Wubian thought for a moment, then said, “Young lady, I’ll offer you an opportunity. Want it?”

The woman nodded eagerly. “Yes.”

Who would refuse such a chance?

Wubian nodded. “Soon, a young man named Ye Xuan may come here. He carries great karma. If he arrives, befriend him. If you can become his friend, your future will be limitless.”

Ye Xuan.

The woman was stunned, then asked, “Senior, may I ask what karma he carries?”

Wubian smiled. “You don’t need to know that. Just know he’s an opportunity for you and for the Star River Palace. Even if you can’t befriend him, don’t become his enemy. Your ancestor’s cultivation wasn’t easy. Don’t ruin it, understand?”

With that, he turned and left.

The woman stood frozen, her expression stiff.
