Yun Qi opened her palm, revealing a wooden token, which she waved. “Northern Sect. Understand?”
Ye Xuan was speechless.
Yun Qi put away the token and said, “Let’s go.”
Ye Xuan looked at her. “Is the Northern Sect really that terrifying?”
Yun Qi replied calmly, “What do you think?”
She glanced at Ye Xuan. “You’ve got backing too, don’t you?”
Ye Xuan nodded. “A few.”
Yun Qi asked, “Are their names not effective?”
Ye Xuan shook his head. “Not very.”
Yun Qi was puzzled. “Why not?”
Ye Xuan sighed softly. “Most who’ve heard their names are dead.”
Yun Qi looked at him for a moment, then gave a thumbs-up. “Impressive.”
Ye Xuan laughed heartily. “Let’s go.”
They quickened their pace. Just as they were about to leave the forest, a beast suddenly blocked their path.
It had a human body and a wolf’s head, with massive hands and an aura of ferocity.
Yun Qi pulled out her token. “Northern Sect.”
The beast roared and lunged at her.
Seeing this, Yun Qi frowned. “I’m from the Northern Sect.”
The beast didn’t stop, charging even faster.
Yun Qi, slightly annoyed, stepped back behind Ye Xuan.
