Ever since Ye Qiu obtained the Qiankun Cauldron, he had been studying it but could never figure out its purpose.
Now, an idea struck him: why not take this chance to ask Master Ancestor?
As the leader of Kunlun Mountain, with unparalleled cultivation and vast knowledge, Heavenly Venerable Ziyang might know the cauldron’s secrets.
As expected, when Ziyang saw the Qiankun Cauldron, his face showed shock.
“Kid, where did you get this cauldron?”
Ye Qiu replied, “I came across it by chance. Besides the one you see, Master Ancestor, I have two more identical ones.”
The shock on Ziyang’s face deepened. “You’ve already got three?”
“Yes,” Ye Qiu nodded slightly.
Ziyang glanced at the cauldron, then shifted his gaze to Ye Qiu, his eyes gleaming with divine light.
Instantly, Ye Qiu felt as if he were being seen through.
“Come closer,” Ziyang beckoned, gesturing for Ye Qiu to step nearer.
Though unsure of Ziyang’s intent, Ye Qiu took a step forward.
Then, Ziyang extended his right hand, gently placing it on Ye Qiu’s head.
“Don’t move.”
As Ziyang spoke, a radiant white light emanated from his palm, enveloping Ye Qiu’s entire body.
Ziyang closed his eyes.
Just ten seconds later, there was a loud “Bang!”
Ziyang was suddenly flung back, landing dozens of metres away, blood trickling from his mouth.
The sudden turn of events stunned everyone.
“Master!” Ye Wushuang rushed to Ziyang’s side, helping him up. “Master, what happened?”
“Nothing, nothing,” Ziyang said, ignoring the blood at his mouth. He looked at Ye Qiu with eyes glowing like a hungry wolf spotting a lamb.
“What kind of fate does this kid have? So extraordinary that even I can’t divine it. Truly unbelievable,” Ziyang muttered to himself.
Ye Qiu, unnerved by the stare, asked stiffly, “Master Ancestor, what’s the secret of the Qiankun Cauldron?”
Ziyang retracted his gaze and said, “As far as I know, there are nine Qiankun Cauldrons in total. Once you find the other six, you can sweep the world, invincible through the ages.”
“As for its specific secrets, you’ll know when you collect them all.”
“Wushuang, you have a remarkable son. He’ll surpass you by far.”
Ye Wushuang grinned at the praise.
Every father hopes their son will soar like a dragon, and Ye Wushuang was no exception.
“Alright, it’s about time for me to leave. Wushuang, Kunlun is in your hands.”
Ziyang patted Ye Wushuang’s shoulder, then tossed his wine gourd into the air.
Instantly, the gourd spun rapidly, growing larger until it was over a metre long.
Ziyang leapt lightly, sitting on the gourd.
“Go!”
He pointed forward, and the gourd shot westward like a rocket, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
Ziyang’s methods were beyond their comprehension.
After a long moment, Master Longbrow exclaimed, “Worthy of Kunlun’s leader, a true immortal!”
The group gradually came to their senses.
Old Master Ye smiled and said, “With matters settled, let’s head to the Ye family. Tonight, we drink until we drop!”
“Great!” everyone agreed happily.
They left Hades Hall and headed to the Ye family.
Half an hour later, at the Ye family dining hall, everyone gathered around a table.
Old Master Ye, seated at the head, raised his wine glass and stood. “Thanks to everyone’s help, the Ye family overcame this crisis. This first toast is to all of you.”
“Old Ye, one glass isn’t enough. How about sending me a few thousand pounds of aged brew later?” Master Longbrow chuckled.
“No problem,” Old Master Ye agreed readily, clinking glasses with everyone and downing the drink.
He raised a second glass. “This second toast welcomes Jinglan and Ye Qiu home.”
“Jinglan, Ye Qiu, I haven’t taken good care of you these years, and you’ve suffered much. Honestly, I feel guilty. I owe you both an apology.”
“From now on, this is your home. Make yourselves at home.”
Qian Jinglan said softly, “Old Master, it’s I who should apologise to you.”
“Because of what happened back then, I misunderstood you for years, not knowing the truth.”
“I hope you can forgive me.”
She stood and bowed to Old Master Ye.
Ye Qiu added, “Old Master, you’ve done much for Mother and me behind the scenes over the years. Though you never said it, Second Uncle and Third Uncle told me.”
“You shouldn’t feel guilty or apologise. Without those hardships, I wouldn’t be who I am today.”
“Now the crisis is over, Father’s back, and we’ll live happily together as a family.”
Old Master Ye beamed. “Ye Qiu, after saying all that, aren’t you going to drink?”
Ye Qiu raised his glass. “Come, everyone, together!”
They downed the second glass.
Old Master Ye raised a third glass, filled with emotion. “This third toast is pure joy.”
“I thought I’d never see Wushuang again, but he’s returned safely. It’s a tremendous surprise.”
“I’m thrilled, truly thrilled!”
“Come, cheers!”
Everyone stood, raising their glasses in celebration.
After three toasts, casual conversation began.
“Big Brother, after that incident back then, how did you end up in Kunlun Mountain?” Ye Wuwei asked curiously.
Ye Wushuang said, “Back then, I was ambushed and gravely injured. Long Yi and Zhuge Yun tried to finish me off, but at the critical moment, Master saved me and took me to Kunlun Mountain. Due to sect rules, I couldn’t leave.”
Ye Wudi grumbled, “Big Brother, fine if you didn’t come home, but why not call? We’ve been searching for you all these years.”
Ye Wushuang gave a wry smile. “Kunlun Mountain is covered in snow year-round, a towering forbidden zone. Even with a phone, there’s no signal.”
Master Longbrow laughed, “In that case, Dragon Tiger Mountain is better. I can play cards, games, watch streams, and read *Peerless Divine Doctor* up there.”
Then, the War God spoke, “Wushuang, since we’re on the topic of that incident, I have a question.”
“Back then, many noble families in the capital were involved in your ambush. Over forty family heads have died in the Forbidden City. What do you plan to do with the rest?”
“Settle the score to end all future troubles?”
“Or…”
Before the War God finished, Ye Wushuang spat out two words: “Kill them all!”
