Li Chengdi unleashed ninety-nine streams of dragon qi, shaking the heavens and earth, his entire being radiating an invincible aura.
“Damn, this guy’s a peak King Realm expert. I’m done for!” The Long Eyebrow Immortal’s face was filled with despair.
Ye Qiu felt the same hopelessness. With his current cultivation, he couldn’t even handle ordinary King Realm experts, let alone a peak one.
With a bang, Li Chengdi raised his right arm, effortlessly holding the four Qiankun Cauldrons in his palm. Ye Qiu’s pupils shrank. The combined force of the cauldrons was at least four hundred thousand catties, yet Li Chengdi held them with ease. It was terrifying.
“Kid, trying to stop me from killing? You’re naive,” Li Chengdi sneered. He released the hand controlling the Long Eyebrow Immortal, then raised it again, slowly swinging a palm towards his cheek. The strike was deliberate, carrying immense power, causing the air to crackle ominously.
The Long Eyebrow Immortal, already despairing, was enraged by this. Li Chengdi was clearly humiliating him. “Don’t hit the face or kick the groin! Li Chengdi, you bastard, I’ll fight you to the death!” he roared, channelling all his strength. His hands rapidly drew talismans, sending a barrage of seals towards Li Chengdi.
Li Chengdi’s palm glowed with radiant white light, like a tidal wave crashing down. The talismans shattered, and the Long Eyebrow Immortal was sent flying, spitting blood.
“You’re too weak,” Li Chengdi said coldly, his eyes flashing with divine light, terrifyingly intense. He reached out, and the Long Eyebrow Immortal, still flying backwards, was inexplicably drawn towards him.
As the Long Eyebrow Immortal neared, a murderous smile curved Li Chengdi’s lips. Ye Qiu acted swiftly. “Dragon-Slaying Fist!” he roared, unleashing his full power. A golden fist, like a blazing star, crashed towards Li Chengdi.
Li Chengdi casually tossed the four cauldrons at Ye Qiu, who dodged and recalled them. At that moment, a crisp slap rang out. Li Chengdi’s palm struck the Long Eyebrow Immortal’s face, nearly shattering it, blood pouring out.
“Don’t hit the face, huh? What are you?” Li Chengdi taunted, controlling his strength to humiliate rather than kill.
The Long Eyebrow Immortal, never so humiliated, cursed, “Li Chengdi, I’ll curse your ancestors!”
With a flash, Li Chengdi pointed a finger, radiant light bursting forth, aiming to pierce the Long Eyebrow Immortal’s skull. The destructive beam left him rigid, unable to move, watching it approach.
“I’m done for,” he muttered.
At the critical moment, Ye Qiu appeared, knocking him aside and taking the strike himself. A blood hole appeared above his left chest, two centimetres from his heart, the force sending him flying.
Coughing blood, Ye Qiu hit the ground.
“Little rascal, are you okay?” The Long Eyebrow Immortal rushed to help, then raged, “You idiot, why block for me? If that hit your heart, you’d be dead!”
“If I didn’t, you’d be dead,” Ye Qiu retorted.
“Nonsense, I’m blessed with great fortune. I wouldn’t die!”
“Enough, old thing. Stop being stubborn.”
The Long Eyebrow Immortal sighed. “Li Chengdi’s too strong. We’re no match. We need a way to escape.”
“You think I don’t want to?” Ye Qiu said. “Against a peak King Realm expert, we’ve no chance.”
“Not entirely,” the Long Eyebrow Immortal whispered. “There’s a chance. Let me think.”
Ye Qiu was surprised; it seemed the Long Eyebrow Immortal had a trump card. “What’s your plan?” he asked.
“I’ve got a trick. Get ready. When I say run, we run,” the Long Eyebrow Immortal said, pulling dozens of copper coins from his sleeve. He bit his tongue, spitting blood onto them, and chanted, “Supreme Star, transform without form, expel evil, bind spirits, protect life. Eight directions’ divine might, all things have spirit, trap immortals, urgent as law!”
He threw the coins, which spun rapidly, emitting beams as thick as mountains, forming a powerful array trapping Li Chengdi.
“Run!” the Long Eyebrow Immortal shouted, and they dashed for the door.
“Hmph, a petty array thinks to trap me? Laughable,” Li Chengdi sneered, striking out. A terrifying force, like a tidal wave, hit the beams.
The array trembled but held. Li Chengdi frowned, striking again with greater force. With a crack, the array shattered.
He flashed to the doorway, seeing Ye Qiu and the Long Eyebrow Immortal at the cliff’s edge, sliding down the iron chain. With a step, Li Chengdi crossed a hundred metres, pointing to sever the chain.
A clang sparked on the chain, leaving no mark. Surprised, Li Chengdi realised the chain was extraordinary.
“You can’t escape,” he said, leaping off the cliff.
As Ye Qiu and the Long Eyebrow Immortal reached the ground, a whistling wind sounded. Looking up, they saw Li Chengdi descending, hands behind his back, like an immortal.
Ye Qiu was horrified. The Long Eyebrow Immortal cried, “We’re done! Peak King Realm experts can fly. We’re trapped.”
Li Chengdi landed, blocking their path. “Accept your deaths!”
As he prepared to strike, a dazed voice echoed in his ear: “Dead, dead…”
