Ye Qiu and Master Longbrow didn’t hesitate, quickly following Old Xiang. Soon, they arrived at a farmer’s house.
The area outside the farmer’s pigsty was crowded with villagers.
“Old Xiang, you’re here just in time. Huzi’s having another episode,” a villager said anxiously upon seeing Old Xiang. “You have to stop him, or my pigs will die.”
Old Xiang’s face darkened as he strode toward the pigsty.
Ye Qiu and Master Longbrow followed closely. Moments later, they saw Huzi.
Huzi was pinning down a two-hundred-pound pig, biting its neck and sucking its blood fiercely.
Three other pigs huddled in a corner, trembling.
Old Xiang shouted, “Huzi, stop it now!”
Huzi continued as if he hadn’t heard.
“What’s wrong with him?” Master Longbrow asked.
Old Xiang explained, “Huzi has a strange illness. Every six months, he goes mad and needs to drink blood.”
Master Longbrow was astonished. “There’s such a condition in this world? Little rascal, have you seen this before?”
Ye Qiu shook his head.
At that moment, Old Xiang grabbed a bamboo pole and tapped Huzi’s head from outside the pigsty, shouting, “Huzi, stop drinking blood. Stop now!”
Roar—
Huzi suddenly looked up, letting out a loud roar that made Old Xiang and the villagers step back in fear.
Ye Qiu noticed that Huzi seemed like a different person. Purple patches appeared on his face, his eyes glowed red, and his two canine teeth had grown long and sharp, stained with blood.
He looked somewhat like a vampire from Western legends.
Old Xiang steadied himself, stepped forward, and continued tapping Huzi’s head with the pole.
“Huzi, wake up!”
Snap!
Huzi suddenly grabbed the pole and yanked it. Instantly, Old Xiang was lifted off the ground.
“Ah!” Old Xiang cried out in fright.
Ye Qiu, quick on his feet, grabbed Old Xiang, preventing a bad fall.
Old Xiang wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said gratefully, “Director, thank you.”
“No need for thanks,” Ye Qiu said. “When Huzi has these episodes, how long does it usually take for him to return to normal?”
“About half an hour,” Old Xiang replied.
By now, the pig Huzi was holding was barely breathing.
“Old Xiang, think of something quick. If this goes on, all my pigs will die,” the villager said, nearly in tears. As he spoke, Huzi let go of the pig and lunged at another, ready to bite.
The villager was on the verge of crying. “What am I going to do? My family’s income this year depends on these pigs.”
Ye Qiu stepped forward, ready to stop Huzi.
Seeing this, Master Longbrow leaped into the pigsty first, saying, “Let me handle this!”
Having missed one chance to show off, he wasn’t about to miss another.
Ye Qiu warned, “Old man, Huzi’s strong. Be careful.”
Master Longbrow dismissed it. “A kid? How strong can he be? Stronger than me, a Venerable expert?”
“Just be careful…”
“Enough, enough. Subduing a kid is effortless for me,” Master Longbrow said.
He grabbed Huzi’s shoulder and said sternly, “Kid, stop!”
Whoosh—
Huzi turned abruptly, baring his teeth at Master Longbrow with a ferocious glare.
Caught off guard, Master Longbrow flinched at Huzi’s menacing look. At that moment, Huzi punched him in the stomach.
Bang!
Master Longbrow flew back several metres, landing on the ground covered in pig dung—on his head, face, and robes.
Ye Qiu’s mouth twitched, unable to bear looking at Master Longbrow’s sorry state.
Huzi quickly crouched and opened his mouth to bite the pig’s neck again.
Ye Qiu leaped into the pigsty, swiftly grabbing Huzi’s collarbone.
Huzi turned, snarling at Ye Qiu.
“Huzi, you can’t keep drinking blood,” Ye Qiu said.
Huzi swung a fist at Ye Qiu.
Prepared, and with his body hardened from cultivating the Nine-Turn Divine Dragon Technique and obtaining the Suihou Pearl, Ye Qiu withstood the punch without flinching.
Bang!
Ye Qiu didn’t budge, but Huzi’s fist was left bloody and mangled.
Ye Qiu was surprised.
He realised Huzi’s strength was immense at that moment. That punch had at least four or five thousand pounds of force.
“No wonder the old man got knocked flying. This kid really has supernatural strength!” Ye Qiu marvelled inwardly.
To think, Ye Qiu only gained such strength after breaking through the second turn of the Nine-Turn Divine Dragon Technique.
“Huzi, you can’t drink more blood. Stop now!” Ye Qiu shouted again.
“Roar!” Huzi roared at Ye Qiu, his blood-stained canines sharp and gleaming, lunging to bite Ye Qiu’s hand.
“Director, be careful!” Old Xiang shouted.
But before Huzi could bite, Ye Qiu pulled back his right hand, then shot it out again like lightning, placing his palm a foot above Huzi’s head.
“Hum!”
Suddenly, a radiant light burst from Ye Qiu’s palm, forming a golden swastika that cast a glowing curtain over Huzi’s body.
The frenzied Huzi instantly calmed down.
Next, Ye Qiu used the Divine Spirit Scripture.
Soon, fist-sized golden seal characters appeared around him, orbiting Ye Qiu, making him look like a divine being, sacred and inviolable.
“This…”
The watching villagers were stunned, looking at Ye Qiu with awe.
“A living god! He’s a living god!”
“Old Xiang, you liar! You said it was internal martial arts. Is this internal martial arts? It’s clearly divine magic!”
“All hail the god!”
The villagers dropped to their knees, worshipping Ye Qiu.
Master Longbrow, seeing this, was so furious he nearly spat blood.
“Damn it, I took a punch and got covered in dung, and no one worships me. But they keep worshipping this little rascal. What’s that about?”
“Just because I’m not as handsome as him?”
“Outrageous!”
Moments later, Ye Qiu withdrew his hand, and the golden light vanished. He took out three golden needles.
Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!
Ye Qiu inserted two needles into Huzi’s temples and the third into his Baihui acupoint. After this, he grasped Huzi’s pulse.
The next second, a flash of shock crossed Ye Qiu’s eyes.
He discovered a surging force in Huzi’s meridians, like a rushing river, flowing endlessly.
Moreover, Huzi’s eight extraordinary meridians were completely unobstructed.
“This kid is a born martial arts prodigy!” Ye Qiu thought, suddenly considering taking him as a disciple.
