“What the hell?”
The smile on Long Eyebrow Master’s face froze. He had been ready to fight, but he never expected Wang Jun’s lackeys to defy common sense.
They all rushed towards Ye Qiu like a swarm.
“Damn it, the chance to shine in front of everyone was stolen by that little brat again. It’s infuriating!”
“This bunch of fools can’t even beat me, yet they’re picking a fight with the little brat? They’re asking for death!”
Long Eyebrow Master was fuming inside and shouted to Ye Qiu, “Little brat, give them a good thrashing! Beat them until they’re crawling!”
Seeing Wang Jun’s lackeys charge at him, Ye Qiu remained calm.
To him, these ordinary punks were weaker than ants.
“Bang, bang, bang!”
The sounds of collisions rang out.
Five seconds later, all the punks were on the ground, groaning in pain.
“This…”
The villagers were stunned.
They had witnessed Ye Qiu’s prowess at the graveyard yesterday, but his display of strength now was even more shocking.
“Dr. Ye is incredible!”
“He took down so many people in seconds—terrifying!”
“Even the strongest soldier in the army couldn’t do better!”
The villagers looked at Ye Qiu with worshipful eyes, filled with awe and reverence.
“Hmph, if I had acted, it would’ve taken me only two seconds to knock them out,” Long Eyebrow Master muttered, his heart sour with envy.
Ye Qiu looked at Wang Jun and said, “Your lackeys are dealt with. Now it’s just you.”
“Didn’t you say you’d chop me up?”
“I’ll give you one chance.”
Ye Qiu pointed to himself, “Take your machete and strike me.”
What?
Wang Jun was taken aback.
“Are you deaf? I said strike me with your machete,” Ye Qiu said. “I’ll stand here without moving. If you can kill me with it, you win.”
Though a thug, Wang Jun wasn’t stupid. He didn’t believe Ye Qiu’s words.
Who would stand still and let someone strike them?
Wang Jun didn’t move.
“You said you’d chop me up, so why aren’t you moving?” Ye Qiu taunted, “Coward!”
The crowd erupted in laughter, and some villagers whispered among themselves.
“Didn’t expect Wang Jun to be such a coward.”
“He’s usually so arrogant and overbearing, but turns out he’s spineless.”
“Dr. Ye said he’d stand still for him to strike, and he still doesn’t dare. I’ve never seen such a coward.”
“This guy only knows how to bully us honest folk. When he meets a real tough guy, he’s worse than my dog.”
Wang Jun, who valued his pride above all, was enraged by the villagers’ mockery, his forehead veins bulging.
He knew well that the villagers were only so bold today because Ye Qiu was here.
“Bastard!” Wang Jun cursed inwardly, itching to tear Ye Qiu apart.
“Strike me!” Ye Qiu pointed to his forehead, provoking him.
Wang Jun still didn’t move.
“What, too scared to strike?” Ye Qiu sneered, “Spineless!”
“I’m not spineless! I’m not!” Wang Jun roared.
“If you’re not, prove it,” Ye Qiu pointed to his forehead. “Strike.”
“Ah!”
Wang Jun let out a furious yell, raising his machete and swinging it at Ye Qiu’s head.
“Thud!”
A dull sound echoed.
The next moment, Wang Jun froze.
The villagers were also stunned.
Ye Qiu stood unmoved, not dodging or flinching, letting Wang Jun’s machete strike his head, yet he was completely unharmed.
“How is this possible?”
Wang Jun’s mind reeled. He had clearly struck Ye Qiu’s head, so why was he unharmed?
It was too shocking!
“What, didn’t eat today? That weak?” Ye Qiu shouted, “Try again.”
Snapping out of his shock, Wang Jun growled, “Let’s see if your head’s made of iron and how many strikes it can take!”
Boom!
This time, Wang Jun used all his strength, slashing fiercely at Ye Qiu’s head.
“Thud!”
Another dull sound.
Ye Qiu remained unscathed, while Wang Jun was pushed back a few steps. Looking down, he saw notches in his machete.
“His head is harder than my blade. Is he even human?”
Wang Jun stared at Ye Qiu in terror.
Ye Qiu said again, “I told you to use force. Didn’t you hear me? Be serious. Again!”
“Go to hell!” Wang Jun, now fully provoked, only wanted to split Ye Qiu’s head open.
He raised his machete again and struck Ye Qiu’s head.
“I’ll chop you up!”
Thud!
The dull sound rang out again.
Ye Qiu was still fine.
In a rage, Wang Jun kept swinging, striking Ye Qiu’s head blow after blow.
In moments, Ye Qiu had taken dozens of strikes, yet he remained unharmed.
The villagers, recovering from their shock, exclaimed in amazement.
“An ordinary person would’ve been minced by now, but Dr. Ye’s completely fine.”
“Too shocking.”
“Dr. Ye is truly a god!”
Hearing this, Long Eyebrow Master sighed inwardly, “That little brat sure knows how to show off. Looks like I need to learn from him.”
Crack!
Suddenly, Wang Jun’s machete snapped in two.
After dozens of strikes, not only did he fail to harm Ye Qiu, but his machete broke.
At this moment, Ye Qiu’s smile vanished, and with a stern face, he bellowed, “Wang Jun, kneel!”
Meeting Ye Qiu’s gaze, Wang Jun felt as if he were staring into a sea of blood and corpses, terrifying him to his core. His knees buckled, and he collapsed to the ground.
Ye Qiu said, “For years, you and your gang have committed atrocities, harming your neighbours. Your crimes are unforgivable.”
“Three years ago, you forced yourself on a woman and then threw her into a river to drown.”
“Three years ago, over a petty dispute, you beat a woman in her sixties so badly she was paralysed and died within six months.”
“Also three years ago, you deliberately injured a young man, leaving him in a vegetative state.”
“And that’s not all—there are many more such cases I won’t list.”
“Since you took over the funeral parlour, you’ve charged exorbitant fees, extorted money, and disrupted social order, causing great trouble for the villagers.”
“To my knowledge, in the past year alone, over a dozen villagers have been seriously injured by you over funeral matters, not counting minor injuries.”
“Your crimes are too numerous to list.”
“Wang Jun, I’m adding one more charge: attacking a national hero. By law, the penalty is death.”
With that, Ye Qiu raised his hand, and a sword qi pierced through Wang Jun’s forehead.
