The young man said, “You wouldn’t know, but the City Lord’s son has caught the eye of an elder from the Yin-Yang Sect and has been taken as a closed-door disciple.”
Ye Qiu pressed further. “This City Lord’s son must be quite formidable, then?”
“Of course he is.” The young man lowered his voice and said, “The City Lord originally had six wives and eighteen children, but for some reason, all eighteen children passed away one after another. After that, the City Lord went a long time without having any more heirs.”
