Lin Da Niao turned his head and saw eight women in long skirts, weapons in hand, charging towards him with murderous intent.
“They are Xu You Rong’s maids.”
No sooner had Lin Da Niao spoken than one maid shouted loudly: “The dead fatty is ahead; kill him.”
The long-browed immortal chuckled: “I knew it; the Yin Yang Sect are no good sort; Xu You Rong truly means to kill you.”
“You crow’s mouth.” Lin Da Niao cursed, then swiftly ducked into the inn.
Ye Qiu and the long-browed immortal exchanged a glance and followed him inside.
Once the eight maids burst into the inn, two guarded the door to prevent escape, while the remaining six fixed their gazes on Ye Qiu and the others.
“Lad, hand over that sword form.”
One maid barked at Ye Qiu: “Give us the sword form, and we shall leave you an intact corpse; otherwise, not a bone of yours shall remain.”
“What grand words.” Ye Qiu sneered with utter disdain: “You lot of wilted flowers and broken willows dare strut before me; I see you truly court death.”
“Killing you would be as simple as slaughtering chickens!”
The maids flew into a rage at once.
“Insolent!”
“Facing death and still so arrogant; you are tired of living!”
“This brat speaks out of turn; slay him first…”
Ye Qiu crooked a finger at the group of maids and said contemptuously: “Come at me together; I shall send you all to the underworld.”
“Too arrogant; kill!” One maid gripped a sharp sword and lunged at Ye Qiu.
In an instant, sword qi filled the air, blanketing the entire inn and causing the surrounding temperature to plummet.
Utterly freezing.
Though she was merely Xu You Rong’s maid, her cultivation was no weak thing, and she struck with a lethal move from the start.
“Lad, you dare spout such drivel before me; I shall first carve out your tongue, then hack you to pieces.”
The striking maid was exceedingly arrogant, paying Ye Qiu no mind at all; with a sweep of her long sword, sword flowers bloomed everywhere, like a vast net descending over Ye Qiu’s head.
“Brother Chang Sheng, dodge quickly.” Lin Da Niao shouted loudly.
Yet Ye Qiu not only did not dodge, but flicked his finger.
“Swish!”
A strand of sword qi shot from Ye Qiu’s fingertip, like a bolt of lightning, piercing the myriad sword shadows and drilling through that maid’s brow.
“Puff!”
The maid’s body stiffened, and the myriad sword shadows vanished with it.
Immediately after, Ye Qiu raised his hand and fired another strand of sword qi, striking the maid’s dantian.
“Boom!”
Her golden core shattered, and her body tore into five pieces, blood splattering everywhere.
Dead and soul scattered.
“You thought to kill me with that? Fool.” Ye Qiu said coldly.
Apart from the two guarding the door, the other five maids swarmed towards Ye Qiu like bees.
“You dare slay one of our Yin Yang Sect; you are doomed!”
“Today, even if an immortal descends, he cannot save you.”
“Die!”
The five maids summoned their weapons and charged at Ye Qiu.
Lin Da Niao, seeing the scene, rolled up his sleeves to rush forward and help, but the long-browed immortal yanked him back.
“Da Niao, stay put; do not add to the chaos.” The long-browed immortal said.
Lin Da Niao said: “Can Brother Chang Sheng handle them alone?”
The long-browed immortal smiled: “Rest easy; the little brat can manage them.”
Indeed.
The first maid to rush at Ye Qiu had not drawn near when Ye Qiu punched her into a mist of blood.
Thereafter, Ye Qiu struck with successive punches.
“Bang bang bang!”
Three punches down, and three more maids exploded.
Of the five besieging Ye Qiu, four died in a blink; the remaining maid looked at Ye Qiu with eyes full of terror.
“Were you not set on killing me? Here is your chance; come on!” Ye Qiu said to that maid.
The maid’s sword-gripping hand trembled without cease; not only did she not advance, but she retreated unceasingly.
“You spurn the chance I give; you truly slap away the face offered; thus, I send you on your way.”
As Ye Qiu’s words fell, he took a step; in the next instant, his figure appeared ghost-like at the maid’s side.
The maid sensed the peril and moved to counter, but Ye Qiu had already wrenched her neck.
“Crack!”
Ye Qiu acted with clean efficiency, showing no mercy to the fairer sex; after snapping the maid’s neck, he seized her collarbone, hoisted her up, then slammed her savagely to the ground.
“Boom!”
The maid flew like a sandbag, smashing brutally into the floor; her body burst apart at once.
“Well done.” The long-browed immortal laughed excitedly.
Lin Da Niao, however, wilted like a frostbitten aubergine, his face full of regret: “Such flower-like beauties, dead just like that; what a pity.”
“What pity; had we not slain them, they would have slain us.” The long-browed immortal said.
Lin Da Niao said: “They were comely and well-figured; even if killing them, one ought to enjoy them first, then kill!”
The long-browed immortal, hearing this, stared at Lin Da Niao in shock, thinking inwardly: “This dead fatty truly is a beast!”
Ye Qiu had slain six maids in seconds; now, only the two door guards remained.
Those two maids stood at the entrance, their gazes upon Ye Qiu like those upon a devil god; their faces were ashen white.
Ye Qiu grinned: “Ladies, fear not; in truth, I am a good man.”
He said nothing amiss; but at these words, the two maids grew yet more terrified, livers and galls cracking, bodies shuddering.
“Truly, no need to fear; my hand is light; I shall ensure you feel no pain.”
Ye Qiu finished, then punched out.
Bang!
Another maid exploded under his fist.
“Ah!” The last remaining maid, frightened out of her wits, clutched her head and screamed shrilly.
Swish!
Ye Qiu appeared before her in one step and said: “I can give you a chance at life, but you must answer my questions.”
The maid had long since collapsed in fright and nodded frantically.
“Did Xu You Rong send you?” Ye Qiu asked.
The maid nodded again.
“What did Xu You Rong say before you came?” Ye Qiu said: “Tell me everything.”
The maid quavered: “The saintess said the dead fatty is of the Lin family; leaving him alive sows hidden peril; show no mercy, kill him outright.”
“And his two companions, eliminate them too.”
“The saintess bade us bring back that sword form in your hand.”
“She also said your corpses must vanish utterly, not a bone left.”
“Right, Uncle Tian instructed us to ruin that fatty’s face, cut out his tongue, and castrate him.”
The maid wept piteously, begging Ye Qiu: “I have told you all you wished to know; please, let me go!”
“Go?” Ye Qiu sneered: “I show no mercy to enemies.”
The maid’s pupils dilated; in panic, she said: “You promised me a chance at life; you are a man; you cannot break your word…”
Ye Qiu smiled: “Lady, have you not heard the saying, a man’s word is the deceiver’s ghost?”
Bang!
Ye Qiu punched out, and the maid perished on the spot.
