Ye Qiu glanced around, a hint of doubt in his sharp eyes.
“What is it, Ye Lang?” Yunxi asked.
“I don’t know why, but just now I felt as though someone was watching us,” Ye Qiu said.
“Impossible,” Yunxi replied. “The array on this jade pendant was carved by my father himself. Unless it is a Saint-level expert, no one can spy on us.”
“Besides, the Undying Mountain is protected by powerful restrictions. Cultivators above the peak of the Dongtian realm cannot enter.”
“So this place is completely hidden.”
Ye Qiu checked again and found the sensation had vanished. He smiled. “Perhaps I was just being overly nervous.”
“Xi’er, let’s head out.”
“Wait!” Yunxi clung tightly to his arm, rubbing herself softly against him. She pouted. “Ye Lang, you still haven’t answered me. Do you like me more, or do you like Sister Baihua more?”
“I love you both… equally deeply!” Ye Qiu emphasised the last word heavily, a wicked grin on his lips.
Yunxi understood instantly. Whether truly shy or pretending, her cheeks flushed like blooming peach blossoms.
“Ye Lang, you’re so naughty.”
She spoke sweetly, then pressed on. “Tell me, who is prettier, me or Sister Baihua?”
Women are like that. Even if they claim not to mind their man having other lovers, deep down they always want to compare.
Especially since Yunxi was the saintess of Azure Cloud Sword Sect and rather proud by nature.
Ye Qiu countered, “Can I not answer that question?”
“No, you must.” Yunxi insisted. “Who is prettier, me or Sister Baihua?”
“You are both equally beautiful,” Ye Qiu replied. He was a master at keeping the scales balanced. When it came to his women, he always treated them fairly.
“That answer is too perfunctory. I’m not satisfied,” Yunxi said. “You have to tell me clearly which of us is prettier. If I don’t like your answer, you’re not leaving today.”
Ye Qiu rolled his eyes playfully and said, “Xi’er, both you and Yue’er are peerless beauties who could make fish sink and geese fall from the sky. If you force me to choose who is more beautiful, honestly, I can’t say.”
“Because in my heart, all my beloved women are equally stunning. If any of you were not, you would never have become mine in the first place.”
“But there are some differences between you.”
Yunxi immediately asked, “What differences?”
Ye Qiu reached out and grabbed a certain part of her body. “You’re bigger than Yue’er here.”
“And?” Yunxi pressed.
“And here too.” Ye Qiu delivered a light slap to the spot just below her waist. The astonishing elasticity bounced his palm straight back.
He continued, “The elders back in the secular world used to say that a figure like yours is perfect for bearing children.”
Yunxi laughed. “Then shall I give you a hundred children in the future?”
A hundred?
Ye Qiu nearly jumped. What would anyone do with that many?
Had the birth rate in the cultivation world dropped so drastically?
Then he remembered: raising children these days was hard. Healthcare wasn’t free, education was unequal, houses were unaffordable… Oh wait, none of those problems existed here.
“We’ll talk about children later. No rush,” Ye Qiu said, turning to plant a kiss on her neck.
Being grabbed, slapped, and kissed like that, ripples appeared in Yunxi’s eyes once more, the lingering affection at the corners of her brows growing thicker.
“And your appetite is at least ten times greater than Yue’er’s,” Ye Qiu added.
“What do you mean?” Yunxi rolled her eyes beautifully. “Are you calling me a glutton?”
Ye Qiu replied, “Fortunately, I have plenty of stamina and a sharp spear. Otherwise, I really wouldn’t be able to keep a glutton like you satisfied.”
“Who made me fall for you?” Yunxi asked again, “Are there any other differences between me and Sister Baihua?”
“Yes,” Ye Qiu said. “If Yue’er is a gentle stream, then you are the vast ocean.”
“What does that mean?” Yunxi didn’t quite catch it at first.
Ye Qiu reached out, and in an instant Yunxi let out a cry. “Ah…”
“Do you understand now?” Ye Qiu grinned.
“Ye Lang, you’re awful.” Yunxi hooked her arms around his neck, her tone shifting. “But I like it.”
With that, she took the initiative and kissed him.
“Not again?” Ye Qiu looked a little alarmed. “Xi’er, shall we go out now?”
“Just a little longer. I’m still hungry,” Yunxi said. She grew even bolder, slipping out of her clothes and stripping him bare in a few swift motions.
Battle commenced once more.
They fought with desperate fervour, locked in fierce combat, swept up in a tempest, utterly inseparable.
Ye Qiu advanced irresistibly, growing ever stronger, until finally Yunxi could resist no longer. Defeated, she could only beg for mercy repeatedly.
Yet suddenly her mouth was silenced…
Half an hour later, the trumpets sounded retreat.
In this clash, Yunxi was completely drained, exhausted beyond measure. She lay atop Ye Qiu, resting for a long while before she finally spoke. “Ye Lang, I want to stay with you like this forever.”
Ye Qiu said, “Once I’ve settled everything, I will take all of you to some quiet place where we can spend the rest of our lives together.”
“By the way, Xi’er, there’s something I need to tell you.”
“My real name is Ye Qiu. Changsheng is just the name my grandfather gave me.”
They were already intimately bound, so there was no need to hide something as small as his name.
If he kept it secret and Yunxi found out later, she might feel he had deceived her.
“I already knew,” Yunxi said.
“You knew?” Ye Qiu was surprised. “How?”
Yunxi smiled. “Have you forgotten? Sister Baihua is now a disciple of Azure Cloud Sword Sect.”
Ye Qiu was even more astonished. Baihua Immortal had actually told Yunxi about him. Clearly the two women got along extremely well.
“Hmph, without my permission, Yue’er went and told someone else about me. When I see her, I’ll have to punish her thoroughly,” Ye Qiu said, pretending to be stern.
Yunxi was displeased. “What do you mean? Am I an outsider?”
“Er…” Ye Qiu was lost for words.
“Actually, you can’t blame Sister Baihua. I got her drunk, and she spilled everything afterwards,” Yunxi explained. She continued, “I also know that in the secular world you have quite a few beloved confidantes. Not only are they beautiful, they’re all very capable too, especially the one called Sister Lin.”
“Whenever Sister Baihua mentioned Sister Lin, she was full of admiration. I really want to meet her and see what makes this Sister Lin so extraordinary.”
“Changsheng, promise me, will you? When the chance comes, take me to the secular world to have a look, alright?”
“Of course,” Ye Qiu agreed at once.
“You’re so good to me.” Yunxi gave him a sweet smile, then her expression turned serious. “Changsheng, I have a secret to tell you too.”
