Miracle Doctor Chapter 1700

Everyone’s gaze snapped to Ye Qiu’s face, because they all noticed he was grinning like he had just won the greatest lottery in the world.

“Big Brother, why are you smiling so happily? You look like you’ve just picked up a real treasure.” Lin Da Niao blurted out.

As soon as he said it, Long-Brow Daoist’s eyes widened. “Holy crap, something’s wrong here!”

“This chamber pot is actually a treasure!”

Ye Qiu only smiled and said nothing.

Lin Da Niao was still doubtful. “Second Brother, didn’t you examine it carefully just now? It’s nothing but an ordinary chamber pot. How can it be a treasure?”

“Da Niao is right. It’s just looks like an ordinary chamber pot.” Ye Qiu shrugged, pretending he was about to put it into his cosmos pouch.

“Hold it!” Long-Brow Daoist declared with absolute certainty. “This chamber pot is definitely a treasure.”

“Little brat, you can fool the others, but you can’t fool this poor Daoist.”

“We’ve travelled together from the mortal world all the way to the cultivation realm. I know your personality inside out.”

Long-Brow Daoist knew Ye Qiu far too well. If it were truly an ordinary chamber pot, Ye Qiu would never wear that expression.

“But what exactly is so special about it?”

Even Long-Brow Daoist couldn’t figure it out. He had inspected it thoroughly earlier and found nothing unusual except that it was unusually heavy.

“Little brat, what on earth is this thing?” Long-Brow Daoist pressed.

Ye Qiu laughed. “It’s a chamber pot!”

“Cut the nonsense,” Long-Brow Daoist snapped. “Spill it.”

Wu Qianfan scoffed disdainfully. “It’s just a chamber pot. How could it be a treasure?”

Long-Brow Daoist completely ignored him and continued, “Hurry up. I just want to know what kind of treasure this chamber pot is.”

“Don’t worry, this poor Daoist won’t try to snatch it from you.”

Ye Qiu chuckled. “Even if you wanted to snatch it, you couldn’t.”

What did that mean?

Was he calling my cultivation too low?

That’s hitting below the belt.

Long-Brow Daoist fumed and urged again, “Quickly!”

Ye Qiu rested the chamber pot on his palm and circulated his true qi. Soon the qi completely enveloped it.

A few seconds later…

Crack!

A fissure appeared on the surface. Then came a series of rapid cracks as countless fractures spread across the pot.

Boom!

The outer layer peeled away completely. Instantly, emerald-green light flooded the entire pit.

Once the crust fell off, the chamber pot had completely changed colour. It now looked as though it had been forged from the finest imperial jade, deep green throughout, covered in mysterious patterns and markings. It was clearly an extraordinary artefact.

Moreover, it had shrunk to the size of a teacup.

Anyone could tell at a glance that this was no common object.

“This…”

Everyone stood dumbfounded.

Actually, Ye Qiu had also thought it ordinary at first. But when Wu Qianfan kicked it and failed to damage it in the slightest, Ye Qiu grew suspicious. He quietly activated his Heavenly Eye to take a peek.

He nearly jumped out of his skin at what he saw.

He had discovered its true form.

“It was mine all along, yet I treated it like trash. Wu Qianfan, you absolute pig!”

Wu Qianfan’s intestines turned green with regret. If they weren’t all watching, he would have slapped himself.

Too stupid!

Long-Brow Daoist’s heart was bleeding too. “Damn it all! Wu Qianfan practically handed this treasure to me, but I failed to see anything special about it.”

“I let a treasure slip through my fingers. My heart hurts so much I could cry!”

Lin Da Niao was amazed, but he felt no regret.

“What is meant for you will come. What isn’t meant for you, you cannot force. Since it ended up in Big Brother’s hands, it means Big Brother is fated to have it.”

He asked, “Big Brother, even though the chamber pot has changed its appearance, I still can’t tell what it actually does. Can you explain?”

Ye Qiu replied, “It’s not a chamber pot.”

Lin Da Niao rolled his eyes. No kidding. What chamber pot could be this incredible?

Ye Qiu continued, “Truth be told, I don’t know its exact origin or function either, but I think these will give me the answer.”

He pointed at the mysterious patterns on the surface.

He studied them for a moment, then realised, to his surprise, that he couldn’t understand a single character.

“Boss, what do those markings say?” Lin Da Niao asked.

Ye Qiu immediately turned to Long-Brow Daoist. “Old thing, aren’t you always dabbling in obscure arts? Come take a look.”

Long-Brow Daoist leaned in, stared for a while, and said, “They do seem to be some kind of script, but this poor Daoist has never seen nothing like it before.”

Mo Tianji nodded. “They definitely look like writing.”

“That’s demon script,” Yun Xi suddenly said.

Demon script?

The written language of the demon race?

Yun Xi continued, “But this isn’t ordinary demon script.”

“I’ve seen plenty of demon writing at Azure Cloud Sword Sect. These markings share some similarities, yet there are many differences.”

“I suspect they are ancient demon script.”

Long-Brow Daoist asked, “Fairy, what is ancient demon script?”

Yun Xi answered, “An extremely old form of demon writing.”

Long-Brow Daoist had an epiphany. “I get it. Like oracle bone script in the mortal world.”

Lin Da Niao asked, “Fairy, can you read what these markings actually say?”

Yun Xi shook her head. “Ancient demon script is far too old, and I’m not a demon, so I can’t read it.”

“I reckon even top demon experts might not recognise it.”

The little white fox gave a cold laugh. “Just because you can’t read it doesn’t mean no one else can.”

At those words, every eye turned to her.

“I almost forgot. You’re from the demon race. You should know these characters, right?” Long-Brow Daoist said.

“I don’t know them,” the little white fox replied.

“If you don’t know them, why contradict me?” Yun Xi demanded.

The little white fox answered, “Because I felt like it. Got a problem?”

“Hmph.” Yun Xi snorted, clearly displeased.

“Tell me what these mysterious markings say,” Ye Qiu asked the little white fox.

“I already told you, I don’t know,” she replied.

“Really don’t know?” Ye Qiu stared straight into her eyes. The little white fox quickly looked away, unable to meet his gaze, her eyes flickering evasively.

“I really don’t,” she insisted firmly.

Ye Qiu smiled faintly. “If you tell me what the markings mean, I’ll consider giving you this treasure.”

“Really?” Her eyes lit up.

Ye Qiu nodded. “Absolutely.”

“Deal!” The little white fox beamed. “These markings are indeed ancient demon script. Despite all the strokes, they only say three characters: Demon-Refining Pot!”
