Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was Thursday.
Today was the day Tang Tang arrived in Jiangzhou!
At the Emperor Grand Hotel, in the presidential suite, Ye Qiu sat on the sofa, Han Long and Xiao Zhan standing before him.
“How’s it been working with Han Long lately?” Ye Qiu asked Xiao Zhan.
Xiao Zhan nodded, “Pretty good.”
“How’s your sister’s health?” Ye Qiu followed up.
“She’s doing well,” Xiao Zhan replied.
Ye Qiu said, “Once I wrap up what’s on my plate, I’ll treat your sister’s eyes.”
“Thank you, boss,” Xiao Zhan said, his face full of gratitude.
Since meeting Ye Qiu, the lives of him and his sister had turned upside down, no longer scrambling to make ends meet. Following Han Long, Xiao Zhan had thrown himself into Dragon Gate affairs, making a name for himself, now second only to Han Long in prestige among Jiangzhou’s Dragon Gate members.
Ye Qiu’s gaze shifted to Han Long, “Found Poison Scorpion yet?”
Han Long shook his head, “It’s strange, I sent so many people out to search, but nothing.”
“No idea where that bastard’s hiding, it’s like he’s vanished into thin air.”
“But our guys are still looking.”
Ye Qiu had hoped to root out Poison Scorpion and take him down before Tang Tang arrived, but that seemed unrealistic now.
“When does Tang Tang get here?” Ye Qiu asked.
Han Long checked his watch, “In about an hour, Miss Tang Tang’s plane will land.”
“Xiao Zhan, you’re with me later, we’ll pick her up at the airport,” Ye Qiu said.
“Yes, sir!” Xiao Zhan nodded.
Tang Tang was coming to Jiangzhou at Ye Qiu’s invitation to be the spokesperson for the beauty salon, and out of respect for him, she hadn’t even asked for a fee. So, Ye Qiu had to personally greet her at the airport, both for her safety and as a gesture of courtesy.
“How’s the security setup?” Ye Qiu asked.
Han Long replied, “I checked this presidential suite thoroughly with my team, no issues.”
“I’ve also stationed over a hundred Dragon Gate members inside and outside the hotel to ensure Miss Tang Tang’s safety, plus another hundred at the beauty salon.”
“Per the plan, she’ll go to the hotel to get ready, then head to the salon for the press conference, once she’s here, Xiao Zhan and I will stick to her like glue.”
Ye Qiu nodded, the arrangement was solid.
“Also, Poison Scorpion’s after you, boss, he’s likely watching you from the shadows.”
“When you pick up Miss Tang Tang at the airport, he might seize the chance to strike, so I’ve set up five cars.”
“One’s for you and Miss Tang Tang, the other four are packed with our guys, armed to the teeth, just in case.”
“Good job! Han Long, you handle the hotel, Xiao Zhan, let’s go.”
Ye Qiu left with Xiao Zhan, heading straight for the airport.
When they arrived, the scene shocked them.
The airport exit was swarmed with over a thousand fans, holding Tang Tang posters, eagerly waiting, with countless security guards struggling to maintain order.
“No wonder she’s a superstar, what a turnout,” Ye Qiu marveled.
“Boss, with this crowd, security’s gonna be tricky, if Poison Scorpion’s hiding in there, Miss Tang Tang could be in danger,” Xiao Zhan warned.
Ye Qiu knew it too, pulling out his phone to call the airport and have the fans cleared out.
But before he could dial, the fans erupted in screams:
“Ahhh… Tang Tang’s here!”
“Tang Tang’s here!”
“Tang Tang, I love you—”
The shouts were deafening, like they’d flip the airport upside down.
Soon, Ye Qiu spotted Tang Tang.
She stood on the escalator, dressed in a black tracksuit, a pink cap, and a black mask, a canvas bag with her face on it slung over her shoulder, youthful, vibrant, and approachable.
Behind her, an assistant pushed a suitcase.
As Tang Tang neared the bottom, fans surged forward, desperate to get close, airport security overwhelmed, eventually forming a human chain to hold them back.
Stepping off, Tang Tang removed her mask and raised a hand for silence.
Instantly, the crowd hushed.
It was like a scene from a movie, a general commanding a million troops, silencing them with a gesture.
Ye Qiu watched, amazed, “Tang Tang’s charisma is unreal, even the Four Heavenly Kings couldn’t top this!”
Then her crisp voice rang out, “Jiangzhou fans are as warm as the weather here, thank you for coming, I’m so grateful.”
She bowed to them.
The cheers erupted again:
“Tang Tang, I love you—”
“Tang fans love Tang, forever and always!”
“…”
She gestured again, waiting for quiet, then smiled, “I’m usually so busy, rarely getting to meet you all up close, so I treasure every chance like this.”
“But this is an airport, with passengers coming and going, if I stay and chat, it’ll disturb them and disrupt order.”
“Since you’re here, though, I can’t let you leave empty-handed, I’ve got two pieces of good news.”
“First, I’ll hold a tour concert this winter.”
“Second, Jiangzhou friends get priority ticket access.”
The fans jumped in excitement.
“Yes! That’s amazing!”
“I can hear Tang Tang live!”
“My whole family loves her, I’m buying ten tickets!”
“…”
Tang Tang continued, “I’m here for work, people are waiting, so I’ve got to go.”
“It’s hot out, head home soon, we’ll meet again at the concert.”
“Bye!”
She waved, then, under thousands of eyes, boarded Ye Qiu’s car and sped off.
Ye Qiu and Tang Tang sat in the back.
“Big star, finally got you here,” Ye Qiu grinned.
Tang Tang glanced out, noting two Audis trailing them, “Quite the setup, huh? People might think a VIP’s on tour.”
Ye Qiu laughed, “You’re a superstar, how could I slack off? If I upset you, it’d be on me.”
“What, you think I’m some diva who gets mad easily?”
Tang Tang blinked, playful.
Before Ye Qiu could reply, Xiao Zhan’s voice came from the front, “Boss, we’re being followed.”
