Chiyama Yuki quickly turned her head, and her eyes met the face she had longed for day and night.
Ye Qiu!
Her heart leapt with joy, but she turned away, asking coldly, “What are you doing here?”
“I’m here to save you,” Ye Qiu said.
“I don’t need your help. Get lost,” Chiyama Yuki snapped.
Ye Qiu untied the ropes, pulling Chiyama Yuki into his arms, saying, “I’m sorry, Yuki, I came too late.”
“It’s all my fault.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll never let you suffer again.”
Hearing these words, Chiyama Yuki broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.
“You jerk, you used me and then disappeared, ignoring me for so long. What do you even want?”
“If you’re so great, why didn’t you just stay away forever?”
“Ye Qiu, you heartless bastard, I hate you… Why did you only come now? If you were any later, you’d never see me again, never see your child, waaah…”
Chiyama Yuki cried and ranted, her small fists pounding on Ye Qiu’s chest.
In that moment, she was no longer the poised sect leader, but a wronged woman, venting freely in the arms of the man she loved.
Ye Qiu felt deep guilt, repeatedly apologising. It took a while to finally calm her down.
Chiyama Yuki wiped her tears, her face returning to its cold demeanor, and said, “My master is still in Yoshida Morikazu’s hands. I need to save her.”
“No need to worry, I’ve already seen your master,” Ye Qiu said, grasping Chiyama Yuki’s wrist and channeling a stream of true qi into her.
Soon, Chiyama Yuki’s inner strength was restored.
“You’ve cultivated true qi?”
Chiyama Yuki was stunned, not expecting Ye Qiu’s cultivation speed to surpass hers.
Ye Qiu grinned, “Can’t help it, your man’s just that exceptional.”
“Hmph, you’re not my man.”
“You’re carrying my daughter, and you still won’t admit my status?”
“Not admitting it,” Chiyama Yuki said with a proud tilt of her head.
Ye Qiu chuckled, “Fine, but our daughter will take my surname.”
At that moment, the sound of fighting erupted outside.
Clearly, Akiyama Nange was already clashing with Yoshida Morikazu’s men.
“I’m going to take down Yoshida Morikazu.”
Ye Qiu said, heading for the door.
“Wait—” Chiyama Yuki suddenly called out.
Ye Qiu turned back, asking, “What’s wrong?”
“I have some business to finish,” Chiyama Yuki said, walking over to Yoshida Taka.
Yoshida Taka’s throat had been pierced by Ye Qiu’s sword qi, blood still gushing, but he wasn’t completely dead, still conscious.
Under Ye Qiu’s puzzled gaze, Chiyama Yuki suddenly raised her right foot and stomped hard on Yoshida Taka’s crotch.
“Ah—”
Yoshida Taka let out a blood-curdling scream, his body convulsing violently.
Ye Qiu glanced down, seeing blood pooling from Yoshida Taka’s trousers, and felt a chill down his spine.
Damn, never cross a woman. When they get ruthless, it’s terrifying.
“I told you, you’d die without a grave!”
Chiyama Yuki said, picking up her Jinghong Sword from the corner of the room and following Ye Qiu out.
As they stepped out, they saw Yoshida Morikazu directing a group of ninjas, surrounding Akiyama Nange.
“Sect Leader Chiyama, Ye Qiu, show yourselves!”
“None of you will escape today.”
“I’ll kill you all.”
Yoshida Morikazu shouted.
“I’m going to help my master,” Chiyama Yuki prepared to charge, but Ye Qiu grabbed her.
“Leave this to me. You stay out of it,” Ye Qiu said.
“But…”
“Be good, don’t risk the baby.”
With that, Ye Qiu strode confidently toward Yoshida Morikazu, saying as he walked, “Yoshida Morikazu, I’m right here.”
Enemies meeting face-to-face, their hatred blazed.
When Yoshida Morikazu saw Ye Qiu, his eyes turned bloodshot with rage.
He despised Ye Qiu.
Not only had Ye Qiu killed his brother, but he’d also ruined his plans.
Earlier in the secret chamber, if Ye Qiu hadn’t shown up, he would have had Akiyama Nange.
To make matters worse, Ye Qiu’s sword qi had left a gaping wound in his shoulder, and even moving his arm caused excruciating pain.
Yet, his hatred didn’t cloud his judgment.
“Weren’t you and Akiyama Nange in the secret chamber? Where did you come from?”
Yoshida Morikazu said, then noticed Chiyama Yuki behind Ye Qiu, sneering, “Even if you saved her, it’s pointless. None of you are leaving here today…”
Mid-sentence, Yoshida Morikazu suddenly remembered he’d sent his son to kill Chiyama Yuki. Why were only Ye Qiu and Chiyama Yuki here, and where was his son?
“Where’s Yoshida Taka?”
Yoshida Morikazu demanded.
“Yoshida Taka? You mean that short fat guy?” Ye Qiu laughed, “I already took care of him.”
“What, you killed my son?”
Yoshida Morikazu’s body surged with murderous intent, like a wounded beast, his expression ferocious.
“Yoshida Taka was my only son, and you killed him? I’ll end you.”
Yoshida Morikazu ordered the hundred-plus ninjas in the courtyard, “Kill him.”
Whoosh whoosh whoosh!
The ninjas charged at Ye Qiu.
Their movements were eerie, their speed blinding.
“Take care of yourself,” Ye Qiu instructed Chiyama Yuki before rushing forward.
Soon, Ye Qiu was locked in combat with the ninjas.
Chiyama Yuki gripped her sword hilt, ready to assist, but she quickly realised her concern was unnecessary.
Ye Qiu was like a god of war, unstoppable. Any ninja who got close to him fell one after another in pools of blood, unable to withstand even a single move.
In less than ten minutes, half the ninjas on the scene were dead.
Seeing his men unable to stop Ye Qiu, Yoshida Morikazu summoned two super soldiers.
“Super soldiers!”
Ye Qiu’s eyes flashed with confusion upon seeing the super soldiers.
How did the Yoshida family have super soldiers?
Ye Qiu couldn’t help but recall a mission in the northwest, where they’d discovered a secret base. There, he’d fought a super soldier named Kong.
He noticed these two super soldiers looked identical to Kong.
This suggested they came from the same source as Kong.
Could the mastermind behind that secret base still be researching super soldiers?
“Kill him,” Yoshida Morikazu ordered the super soldiers.
“Yoshida Morikazu, you overestimate them. These two scraps can’t stop me,” Ye Qiu charged, throwing two punches.
Boom!
The two super soldiers were obliterated on the spot.
This scene stunned the remaining ninjas, and even Yoshida Morikazu’s face froze in shock.
Seizing the moment, Ye Qiu darted forward, appearing before Yoshida Morikazu, and flicked two streaks of sword qi.
