Ye Qiu pulled out his phone and saw it was a call from War God.
“Elder Xu, sorry, this is a very important call, I must take it.”
Ye Qiu even showed Elder Xu the caller ID.
Elder Xu, a friend of War God, saw the ID and smiled, “It’s War God’s call, go answer it!”
Ye Qiu quickly left the treasure vault.
Outside the villa, he answered the phone.
“Why did it take you so long to pick up? Don’t tell me you’re messing around with some woman again?” War God’s voice carried a hint of displeasure.
Ye Qiu laughed, “I’m not messing around, I’m at the Xu family’s place.”
“How’s Xu Yuanzheng’s condition?” War God asked.
“He’s fully recovered,” Ye Qiu replied.
War God chuckled, “I knew it. With you on the case, Xu Yuanzheng was bound to be fine.”
“Chief, is there something you need?” Ye Qiu asked.
“Two things!” War God said, “First, Cao Yuan has led the Dragon Gate disciples into Miaojiang, officially launching a full-scale attack on the Witch God Sect.”
“I just got word that Cao Yuan’s moving fast. He’s wiped out dozens of the Witch God Sect’s branches with lightning speed, killed thousands of their members, and is now less than a hundred li from their headquarters.”
“By tomorrow morning, you might hear news of the Witch God Sect’s total destruction.”
Ye Qiu was shocked.
He hadn’t expected Cao Yuan to move so swiftly.
“Nine Thousand Years is fierce!” Ye Qiu exclaimed.
War God laughed, “I told you before, Cao Yuan plans thoroughly before acting. Before attacking the Witch God Sect, he must’ve made comprehensive preparations. Once he strikes, it’s like a storm, leaving no room for the Witch God Sect to breathe.”
Ye Qiu said, “Chief, the Witch God Sect has been entrenched in Miaojiang for years and has fought Dragon Gate for so long. They shouldn’t fall this quickly, should they?”
War God understood Ye Qiu’s concern and asked, “You’re worried they’re luring the enemy in?”
“Yes,” Ye Qiu affirmed.
War God smiled, “Do you think Cao Yuan wouldn’t consider something you’ve thought of?”
Ye Qiu paused.
War God continued, “Don’t underestimate Cao Yuan. In just over a year, he built Dragon Gate into what it is today, with methods beyond ordinary people.”
“He recruits talent widely, uses people wisely, and manages Dragon Gate impeccably, with exceptional leadership.”

The line went silent for a moment.
When War God didn’t respond, Ye Qiu asked, “Is Zhang Zihao one of ours? I’m not familiar with him.”
War God sounded exasperated, “Don’t you watch the news?”
Ye Qiu said, “I’m swamped, where do I have time for news?”
War God explained, “Zhang Zihao is a notorious bandit.”
“For ten years, Zhang Zihao has committed several major crimes in Hong Kong.”
“Through violent robberies, murders, and kidnappings, he’s extorted billions.”
“Among those he kidnapped were several Hong Kong tycoons, each paying ransoms of up to 200 million.”
“For years, Hong Kong police have been after him.”
“But Zhang Zihao is cunning, escaping multiple times. For the past three years, he’s been off the radar, presumed dead.”
“Until today, I got word he’s in Korea.”
“According to the tip, Zhang Zihao and his accomplices recently stole from a royal tomb in Korea, taking many valuable items.”
“Korean authorities, investigating the tomb theft, caught one of Zhang Zihao’s accomplices.”
“That accomplice revealed Zhang Zihao is planning a kidnapping, targeting Tianxing Group’s chairman, Xu Yuanzheng.”
Ye Qiu’s brow rose.
Was this Zhang Zihao mad?

The Xu family had tight security, with plenty of bodyguards inside and out.

“Ye Qiu, since you’re at the Xu family’s, protect Xu Yuanzheng.”
“And watch out for the safety of the rest of the Xu family, in case Zhang Zihao targets them.”
Ye Qiu grimaced, “Chief, you’re putting me in a tough spot.”
“I’m not a bodyguard. How can I stay by Xu Yuanzheng’s side all the time? I’m planning to return to China soon to improve my strength.”
“How about you tell me Zhang Zihao’s whereabouts, and I’ll take him out now.”
War God said, “I’ve already got people looking for Zhang Zihao.”
“Once we find him, I’ll notify you immediately.”
“Until then, stay with the Xu family and protect Xu Yuanzheng. That’s an order.”
Ye Qiu had no choice but to comply, “Chief, I’ll agree, but I have one condition.”
“Name it.”
