In Bai Bing’s room, the atmosphere was warm and vibrant.
After an unknown amount of time, the room finally quieted down. Ye Qiu felt refreshed and relaxed, as if bathed in a spring breeze.
Bai Bing, her face flushed, lay on his chest, panting and playfully scolding, “You’re such a bad guy.”
Ye Qiu chuckled, “If a man’s not bad, women won’t love him.”
Bai Bing asked, “When did you get back?”
Ye Qiu replied, “Just today.”
“You didn’t go see Lin Jingzhi?” Bai Bing asked again.
“No,” Ye Qiu said. “I came straight to you.”
“Really?” Bai Bing was skeptical, her eyes full of doubt.
“Really,” Ye Qiu insisted. “I can swear to it.”
“Hmph, you’ve got some conscience,” Bai Bing said smugly, then added, “You did well this time, coming to me first, so…”
“So what?” Ye Qiu asked.
“I’m going to reward you,” Bai Bing smiled. “Honey, what reward do you want?”
Ye Qiu blurted out, “I want you.”
“In your dreams.”
Bai Bing rolled her eyes at him, threw off the covers, and got out of bed.
“Sister Bing, where are you going?” Ye Qiu asked.
Bai Bing didn’t answer. Instead, she opened the wardrobe, pulled out some clothes, and put them on.
In an instant, she transformed into a stunning flight attendant.
What’s Sister Bing up to?
Is she planning some role-play?
How exciting!
Ye Qiu was secretly thrilled.
Then, Bai Bing sat at the vanity, applied bold makeup, and let her hair down.
A moment later, she turned to Ye Qiu. Dressed in a flight attendant uniform, with striking red lips, she was breathtakingly gorgeous.
“Honey, do I look good?” Bai Bing asked, gazing at him.
“Stunning,” Ye Qiu nodded vigorously.
Bai Bing was already an icy goddess; with a little effort, she was perfection.
“Do you want me?” she asked again.
Ye Qiu kept nodding, “Yes.”
“Then what are you waiting for?” Bai Bing feigned shyness, knelt gently on the floor, and threw him a flirtatious glance. “Come on, honey!”
Ye Qiu couldn’t hold back and sprang into action.
Soon, enchanting sounds filled the room.
It wasn’t until nine in the evening that the sounds stopped.
Bai Bing, exhausted, complained to Ye Qiu, “You’re like Zhao Zilong.”
“Hahaha, today I was indeed like Zhao Zilong at Changban Slope,” Ye Qiu laughed.
Bai Bing glared at him, then asked, “What did you and Master Longbrow do in the Northeast?”
“The Hades Hall ran into some trouble there and asked me and the old man to help out.”
Ye Qiu didn’t tell Bai Bing he went to the Northeast to find a thousand-year-old elixir for Su Luoying’s treatment, fearing she’d get jealous.
“Was the trouble sorted?” Bai Bing asked.
“Yeah, it’s all resolved, but…” Ye Qiu paused, then said, “The old man’s gone blind.”
Bai Bing asked, shocked, “How did that happen?”
Ye Qiu recounted the events in the Northeast.
After listening, Bai Bing said, “Master Longbrow risked his life to save you at a critical moment. He’s got loyalty. Can you heal his eyes?”
Ye Qiu shook his head, “It’s a backlash injury. I’m powerless.”
“What about surgery?” Bai Bing suggested. “I know some top eye specialists abroad.”
Ye Qiu shook his head, “No use. Backlash injuries aren’t that easy to treat.”
Bai Bing sighed deeply, “Alas…”
Ye Qiu suddenly asked, “Has Su Luoying started working at the hospital?”
“Yeah,” Bai Bing said. “This Su Luoying is really something.”
“Why do you say that?” Ye Qiu asked, puzzled.
Bai Bing explained, “On her first day at the hospital, she cured several tough cases, with immediate results. Even Master Sun was impressed.”
“She’s skilled and so beautiful. Now, a bunch of single male doctors at the hospital are getting restless.”
“If they knew Su Luoying was your woman, their hearts would probably break.”
Ye Qiu quickly said, “Sister Bing, don’t talk nonsense. Su Luoying and I are just friends.”
“Just friends?” Bai Bing huffed. “Don’t think I can’t see there’s something between you two.”
“Even though you weren’t at the hospital these past few days, Su Luoying can’t stop talking about Dr. Ye.”
“Hmph, and you say you’re just friends?”
Ye Qiu laughed, “Sister Bing, are you jealous?”
“What’s that supposed to mean? Am I just a jealous woman to you?” Bai Bing said, a bit annoyed.
“Of course not. Sister Bing, you’re gentle, understanding, and generous—not a jealous type at all,” Ye Qiu said with a placating smile.
“If I were the jealous type, I wouldn’t let you be with Lin Jingzhi or Qin Wan.”
Bai Bing asked, “Ye Qiu, how far have you gone with Su Luoying?”
Ye Qiu gave a wry smile, “I’m really just friends with her.”
“Oh, you’re still lying to me? See if I don’t sort you out,” Bai Bing grabbed his ear and asked again, “Did you two get together back in Miaojiang?”
“Otherwise, with her medical skills, why would she come to work at Jiangzhou Hospital?”
“There are so many hospitals nationwide, yet she chose Jiangzhou. And you say there’s nothing between you?”
Ye Qiu was speechless. Bai Bing wasn’t just a jealous type—she was a vat of vinegar.
“Sister Bing, you hungry? I’m a bit peckish,” Ye Qiu quickly changed the subject.
He knew Bai Bing too well. Continuing on Su Luoying would lead to endless explanations she wouldn’t believe.
Her question reminded Bai Bing she was hungry too. “I’ll cook. What do you want?”
Ye Qiu said, “Anything’s fine.”
“Then I’ll whip something up,” Bai Bing started to get out of bed but winced as her knees ached.
“What’s wrong, Sister Bing?” Ye Qiu asked with concern.
“Look at what you’ve done,” Bai Bing said, feigning anger.
Ye Qiu looked down, saw her knees bruised purple, and chuckled, “You worked hard today.”
“Hmph,” Bai Bing glared at him. She tried to stand but felt so sore and weak she had no strength.
“Sister Bing, rest. I’ll cook,” Ye Qiu offered.
“Forget it, let’s order takeaway. It’s easier,” Bai Bing lay back down and opened a delivery app on her phone.
Just then, Ye Qiu’s phone rang.
Beep, beep, beep.
Bai Bing glanced at it, saw the caller was Sun Mengjie, and fumed, “You sneaky Ye Qiu, messing around with Lin Jingzhi’s assistant too? You asking for a beating?”
She hung up the call.
Moments later, the phone rang again. It was still Sun Mengjie.
Ye Qiu knew Sun Mengjie. Ever since he got with Lin Jingzhi, she’d been hostile toward him. She wouldn’t call unless it was urgent.
“Sister Bing, give me the phone.”
Seeing Ye Qiu’s serious expression, Bai Bing reluctantly handed it over, saying, “Put it on speaker. If you dare flirt with her in front of me, I won’t let you off.”
Ye Qiu answered, and before he could speak, Sun Mengjie’s voice came through.
“Bad news, Ye Qiu. Something’s happened to Miss Lin!”
