“Who’s outside?”
Huang Ran heard the phone ring outside the factory and shouted.
“There’s no one outside. Young Master Huang, could it be…”
Bang!
Before his subordinate could finish, the factory door was suddenly kicked open.
“Who’s there?” Huang Ran jumped, staring at the entrance.
Then, Ye Qiu walked in.
“Aren’t you looking for me? I’m here!”
Ye Qiu glanced around, seeing Lin Jingzhi tied up but unharmed, and his worries vanished.
As Ye Qiu appeared, a dozen masked men quickly surrounded him.
Huang Ran, seeing it was Ye Qiu, laughed, “Heaven gives you a path, but you choose hell’s gate instead.”
“But this saves me the trouble of waiting.”
“Ye Qiu, know why I kidnapped your woman?”
“I know. Revenge,” Ye Qiu said calmly.
“Exactly,” Huang Ran said. “In all my life, I’ve never met anyone as arrogant as you.”
“You had my hands broken. Gutsy move.”
“Now, I’m going to kill you.”
Ye Qiu pointed at the masked men, scoffing, “You think these losers can take me?”
Huang Ran grinned, “Even Yang Lao, ranked ninth on the Dragon List, wasn’t your match. My bodyguards aren’t either, but Ye Qiu, there’s a saying: no matter how skilled, you can’t outrun a bullet.”
“So what if you’re tough?”
“I dared lure you here because I have a way to deal with you.”
Ye Qiu smiled faintly, “You mean the four snipers on the roof?”
Huang Ran’s face twitched. Had Ye Qiu spotted them?
Impossible!
Those snipers were seasoned mercenaries, not amateurs. How could Ye Qiu find them?
Ye Qiu said, “Sorry, I’ve already taken care of them.”
What?
Huang Ran’s heart sank. He ordered a masked bodyguard beside him, “Xiao Wu, contact them now.”
“Yes.” Xiao Wu, the masked bodyguard, spoke into a walkie-talkie.
No response.
“They’re dead. How could you reach them?” Ye Qiu struck, punching toward the factory roof.
Boom!
A powerful gust from his fist blasted a hole in the roof, and four bodies fell.
They were really dead!
Huang Ran froze, his face twisting, “Ye Qiu, you think killing them leaves me helpless?”
“You’re too naive!”
“Lin Jingzhi’s in my hands. Make a move, and I’ll kill her.”
“Threatening to kill Sister Lin to my face? Bold!” Ye Qiu’s tone was icy as he stepped forward.
Instantly, the dozen masked men closed in, surrounding him tightly.
Bang!
Ye Qiu acted, his fist obliterating two masked men.
Blood sprayed everywhere.
“This…”
Fear flashed in the remaining masked men’s eyes. Ye Qiu’s ruthlessness terrified them.
Before they could react, Ye Qiu struck again.
Bang, bang, bang!
With a few punches, ten masked men were blasted apart, blood and body parts scattering the floor.
The few left snapped out of it and fled toward the factory exit.
If they didn’t run, Ye Qiu’s fists would crush them too.
“None of you escape. Kidnapping Sister Lin means death.”
Ye Qiu spread his right hand’s fingers.
Whoosh!
Five sword qi shot from his fingertips. The fleeing masked men didn’t reach the exit before their heads exploded, their bodies collapsing in pools of blood.
Gruesome deaths.
In moments, only Huang Ran and Xiao Wu remained.
Ye Qiu looked at Huang Ran, “Got any more tricks? If not, it’s time to say goodbye to this world.”
“Hmph, don’t think I’m scared just because you’re strong,” Huang Ran barked, “Xiao Wu!”
Xiao Wu drew a gun from his waist, aiming at Ye Qiu.
“Ye Qiu, I don’t believe you can stop bullets. Xiao Wu, shoot.”
At Huang Ran’s command, Xiao Wu fired.
Bang, bang, bang!
Bullets rained toward Ye Qiu, but what followed chilled Huang Ran to the bone.
The bullets hit Ye Qiu but bounced off, as if striking steel.
Ye Qiu took a barrage and stood unscathed.
“God, what kind of freak is this?”
“Bullets don’t even faze him.”
“I’m done for.”
In panic, Huang Ran shot Xiao Wu a look, signaling him to grab Lin Jingzhi.
Xiao Wu nodded slightly, pulled a switchblade from his pocket, and stabbed Huang Ran in the back.
“Ah…”
Huang Ran screamed in agony.
Ye Qiu paused, puzzled by Xiao Wu’s actions.
“Xiao Wu, have you lost your mind?” Huang Ran roared, “You’ve been with me for two years. I treated you well. Why kill me?”
Xiao Wu said, “Sorry, Young Master.”
“You saw the situation. None of us are leaving today. Rather than let you die by another’s hand, I’ll send you off.”
“It’s the least I can do for your two years of care.”
Huang Ran raged, “Kill me, and you won’t survive either.”
“I know. I never planned to,” Xiao Wu said. “Young Master, rest in peace.”
He pulled out the dagger, ready to stab again.
“Wait,” Huang Ran, realizing something, asked, “I get it. You’re with Ye…”
Before he could finish, Xiao Wu said, “Young Master, since you understand, why ask?”
Huang Ran demanded, “Why? Why does he want me dead?”
“If you don’t die, he’s in danger.”
“I see. He’s tying up loose ends.”
“Young Master, you’re only realizing now? Too late…”
Pfft!
Before Xiao Wu could finish, a blood hole appeared in his forehead.
Ye Qiu had killed him.
“Tell me, was kidnapping Sister Lin your idea, or someone else’s?” Ye Qiu asked.
Huang Ran said, “Ye Qiu, I’ll tell you, but you have to spare me.”
“Who was it?” Ye Qiu demanded.
Huang Ran answered, “Ye Dabao and Liang Wenyue.”
Ye Dabao?
Ye Qiu’s brow rose. “Ye Wuwei’s son, Ye Dabao?”
Huang Ran nodded, “Yes.”
“Where is he?” Ye Qiu asked.
Huang Ran replied, “Ye Dabao and Liang Wenyue are in Jiangzhou, at Pharaoh’s. Kidnapping Lin Jingzhi was their idea. Ye Qiu, spare me…”
Bang!
Ye Qiu’s fist obliterated Huang Ran.
Then, he untied Lin Jingzhi’s ropes.
As soon as she was free, Lin Jingzhi threw herself into Ye Qiu’s arms, cooing, “Honey, you were so fierce just now. I love it. I can’t hold back. Quick, love me~”
